Zoe grinned at him and shook her head, laughing just a bit. “You are a goody two shoes, Vega Gendrake. I can’t believe I’m dating such a nerd. What will my friends say? My reputation is ruined.” She snickered harder and kissed his knuckles. “I love you. You’re so dumb. Fine, I guess I’ll be the delinquent tonight.”
Her eyes lit up when he suggested her wolfing out and she was back to running down the hall, heading for outside. She called out behind her to Vega, “That, however, is a fantastic idea! I gotta git outside so I can stands up!”
Zoe shifted almost the second she was clear of the doors. She wasn’t as massive as Alain, but she was still massive for a wolf. And she hadn’t hit her growth spurt yet. She practically tripped and went rolling mid-shift, landing on her back and yipping and barking excitedly as she rolled around in the grass like a happy pup. Tail wagging, back legs kicking, she finally rotated and stood up, bearing most of her weight on her hind legs for the first time
