Event Private A Masquerade for Two

This was the moment of truth. Vega had planned for today a little over a month before hand. The actual discussion went over quicker and a lot more smoothly than he thought it would. Turns out for all his stoic intensity, Alex was a huge sucker for romantic things. Everything was in place for the night, they even had a limo waiting for them.
Vega was wearing the signature officer's uniform that Drakenhardts typically wore when attending formal events. His mask was black, and seemed to lead out into the void space. Stars, and galaxies, and nebulae could be seen drifting about. He kept his mask tucked away for the time being. He headed to Zoe's dorm, giving it a knock. It was time to give her the best night of her life.

Vega grinned when the door opened. There was Zoe, in a simple dress as he'd expected. People around campus probably considered them an unlikely couple solely based on appearances. And on the surface Vega could come off as shallow. He wasn't with her out of pity, or as part of some elaborate, cruel prank. He just really liked her. Tonight more than any night he'd show her that.

"This old thing? It's just a standard maiden stealing uniform. You're looking amazing though, as always."

He knelt down and gave her a kiss. This probably felt like something out of a fairy tale, some Disney fluff. There was never any focus on things from the prince's perspective in those things and man, he was nervous. He moved to wheel her out.

"So it's gonna sound weird, but Alex said he was 'sparing no expenses' for us. So we have a limo... he said something like drive it around and come back to the ball. Turns out he's a sucker for this kind of stuff. Wild right?"

Vega would wheel Zoe out to a white limo, that was wheelchair accessible. The family butler, Marduk was waiting there for them looking stern, but regal. He would help Zoe into the Limo, and drive them off to their destination. But, as Zoe would soon notice, they definitely weren't going around the block and coming back.

She hadn't even realized they weren't heading back to the school. Perfect. He just kept her busy with conversation until they arrived at their actual destination. The teleporter hub at the space station. This was where the fun really started. He half wondered if she would catch on right away or something else entirely.

"Welp, this is it," Vega grinned, stepping out as Marduk assisted Zoe.

"Master Vega, Miss Strega, enjoy your evening among the stars," with that, Marduk bowed, then got back in the car, and drove off. Everything was going according to plan. And that stupid grin on Vega's face said as much.

"Well, I guess since we're this far now, I might as well tell you," okay maybe he was feeling a smidge less confident, but no he'd made it this far. He knew this was coming. Oh wait, it was back, nevermind.

"I know you've been doing everything you can to try and get your legs back. I'm not some healer or anything amazing, but I wanted to give you at least one proper dance tonight. So we've got a fully replicated masquerade ball for just the two of us. Plus, I did promise you were getting spoiled so..."

Vega's gaze was entirely focused on Zoe now awaiting her response.

This was definitely worth it. Vega pulled a handkerchief and offered it to Zoe. "I mean whatever you did this all worked out pretty well right? "

His eyes shifted over to the teleporters. They weren't pressed for time or anything, but he wanted to spend as much time with her up on the station as he could. "So then you ready to do this?"
