Cade learned that she was indeed having fun as well. He watched as she proposed to go back to shore. He already had enough fun today. He might as well call it a day and relax. He wanted to stay in the water a bit longer, but she was tired so he decided to tend to her. "Yeah, let's head back." He noticed that she already gone off ahead to the shore, so he swam fast to catch up. When he reached the shore, he laid back on the ground to try and dry off from the sun.

The sun's harmful rays hit Cade, warming him up a little. He looked over to see Nyax offering him her towel, to dry his hair. He needed it so that he wouldn't get cold, and eventually get sick. "Thanks." he told her as he grabbed the towel and wiped his face, body and hair with it. He noticed the bruises and signs of beatings on her body. What is that; where was that from, he wondered, but he opted not to question her about it. It was none of his business.

Trying not to get sunburned on his chest, Cade sat up on the sand on the shore, then turned his body around and laid back down, so that he was laying on his stomach with his back facing the sun, revealing his tattoo. She questioned him again. He looked over to her and smiled lightly. "I had a great day; I had fun......thanks to you.....I almost forgot what having fun was really like....." He noticed a hesitation in her voice. "You sound nervous. Is something wrong?"

Cade was dozing off in the sunlight before he felt Nyax's finger on his back. She was examining his tattoo. She seemed to like it. When she asked when he got it, Cade reminisced back to the time that he got the tattoo. A painful memory it was, but it turned out to be worthwhile. "This? Got it about a year ago. The way the ink flowed through my veins when it happened. God! It was awful. But in the end, it kind of paid off." the eighteen year old answered.

Cade glanced again at the bruise. Sure it may symbolize pain and suffering, but it meant nothing to Cade. He has been through that aspect of life before too and is no longer fazed by it. "Oh..." He looked up at her. "You don't have to feel nervous around me, really. I'm not sure why most people do."

When she exclaimed that she too had a tattoo, Cade quickly got up. "Cool." he replied with a smile. "Of course. How it could not be painful, unless you're paralyzed." he joked. He then listened to her as she explained her nervousness. "I ....see..." was all the he could reply to that. The most surprising words out of the words she exerted; "...I like you." That startled him. For once, somebody other than his own family liked him, for reasons unknown. When he heard that, a bigger smile curved his lips as he blushed. "I .....like you too. Am I really great? Or are you just saying that....?"

Cade did see her tattoo. It was a broken black heart, in which she felt suited her. Why did she feel thatit suited her? Cade preferred not to know. His cheeks a light shade of pink as he blushed, he opened his eyes wider when he learned that tomorrow was her birthday. She is now going to be eighteen, like Cade. That would be an awesome thing for them to celebrate together, at least in his mind. "Your birthday, tomorrow...?" He stopped to think. He then nodded. He had an idea. "Hey! Let's celebrate....together. What do you think?"

He watched as she traced circles in the sand with her finger. He wondered what would it be like to celebrate a girl's birthday. He had never done that before. There's a first time for everything...right? Cade got up from the sand and reached for his shirt to put it back on, along with his pants, his was fully dry. He sat back down, a little closer to her than before. "Yes. I am positive. I've nothing better to do most of the time anyway. Come on, it'll be fun!"
