Well, that was absolutely amazing. He wasn't sure what Nakata had done, exactly. But somehow, his mind had clearly ascended. It was not possible for such things to randomly occur, and so he came to the conclusion that Nakata had some sort of ability that allowed him to do so. Clearly, he had not fully explained his supernatural ability. What a wonderful world this was! Never had he come across such a variety of talents!

"It would appear you have somehow inherited my own abilities." He said nonchalantly as he examined the splattered Illithid brains Nakata had created with his foot. "I must admit ignorance in how such a thing has occurred, but perhaps now you understand my previous words a little better, no? Tell me, Master Nakata, how is it you obtained such a marvelous ability? Has your time spent with me allowed you to form a sort of bond that allows you to mimic my own actions?" Oh, the curiosity was immense! Either he didn't hear Nakata talk about the new threat - which would be strange, especially since he should've been able to notice them himself since he was standing right next to Nakata - or his curiosity simply overwhelmed him. The latter was the more likely explanation.

Naka was still a little dumbfounded by it himself. He'd never done something like this before. The whole sensation and was alien to him.
"I have no idea, I've never done anything like that before. As far as I know my only power is to be able to regenerate my cells so I have no idea what that was." He said as he started to walk toward the glow worms. The recent attack, his own glowing aura, and the blonde hair, was all more than he was able to piece together at the current moment.
"We should keep moving." he said.

"Hm, I see. Well then, I suppose we should not question things that could be considered blessings. Very well, let us continue. However, I am not sure how far down this cave goes, and there is no telling what sort of creatures lie in wait. Like what could be waiting for us in that glow down there, for instance." He said shrugging, head turned towards the corridor.

"One moment, Master Nakata. I am going to attempt to find the staff. The flame may have gone out, but it could still be used as a weapon." He searched around the vicinity that he heard it roll towards. It was in a puddle, of course, but it could still be used as a weapon as he had said.

Naka waited for Alistair to find the staff while he followed the light from the glowing offbranch and slipped inside. Once there he found not one but two light sources. On the ceiling were glowing, slug-like creatures with bioluminscent bodies, and below them, on the stone floor was... a lizard. However from this lizard came sparks of electricity. The latter made him forget all about the ceiling and he knelt down and reached out to touch it. Before his hand reached, he turned his head to look back at the direction Alistair would be coming from.
"You've gotta see this!" He shouted in excitedly in japanese.

When he turned his head back to look at the lizard, there were seven of them. Unsure of where they had come from, he started looking around, and to his surprise ten more came skittering out with three additional ones climbing down the cavern walls. All of a sudden, he was very unsure of his situation, and yet very sure that it was bad. All at once, they opened their mouths to reveal sharp fangs, and hoods lifted up on their necks like dinosaurs. The next couple of minutes were a blank but when he came to, several of them had made fang marks in his skin and were lapping at his blood as he started to rouse. As he did this, he gripped of the lizards and slammed it hard on the ground, killing it, but another powerful electric shock soon came, causing him to black out for another few minutes.

Well, that wasn't good. They weren't more Illithids at least - there were really only three of them? - but if they were already coming across a new threat who knew what else they would find down here! He came into the passageway to see Nakata succumbing to the electric shock of what appeared to be a type of shock lizard.

"Master Nakata!" He shouted, staff in hand and readying to bat away the creatures. At one point, he noticed Nakata was able to slay one of them, but there were too many and the electricity they produced was too much for one human to handle. Luckily, wood did not conduct electricity, but unluckily, the staff was wet, which would conduct the electricity. He had no reliable way of fighting these creatures, for not even Shining Blade would render the water on the staff unable to conduct the electricity. Attacking these creatures would only result in him being shocked.

Rescuing Nakata was his priority, however. He needed to grab him before the entirety of the lizards noticed him and went for him instead. He made it to Nakata's fallen form, smacking one of the nearby lizards on the head, which snapped its neck and killed it instantly. However, the resulting shock from the creature stunned him for a brief second. His body was resilient enough to resist the effect better than a normal human, and the effect was reduced considering his staff was only damp and not soaking wet - and wood otherwise was a poor conductor - however the zap was still rather unpleasant.

He focused himself entirely on picking up Nakata and getting them out of there. Half-holding half-dragging him, he managed to bring Nakata out of the passageway back into the open room they were in previously. But the lizards weren't relenting. Several of them followed the two out into the open room, preparing an assault.

He would have to find a way to handle them, especially if Nakata remained unconscious.

Naka awoke as he was dragged and desperately tried to regain his wits. In a little bit, he had managed to and that was when an idea hit him. That mode earlier, the power he had apparently inherited, had emitted light. As the lizards neared him, he closed his eyes, and tried to remember how he had felt when he had activated it before. When his eyes opened, he noticed the lizards were disoriented, frozen in place even for the bright flash of light they had just witnessed was throwing off their usual vision. Naka was able to see clearly for the time being and he bolted, picking up rocks and hurling them with deadly precision at the heads of several lizards, killing three more. Finally, he gripped a rather thin, baseball bat-shaped stalagmite and kicked hard at the base while simultaneously pulling towards him which caused it to break and provided him with a new weapon. As a lizard literally jumped for him, he swung with all his might, sending the creature flying into a cave wall and to its death. As another one leaped for Alistair, he hurled the limestone baseball bat with deadly spinning accuracy at the creature, smashing its neck to the side and causing the weapon to hit the ground at his companion's feet.
"Calcium carbonate doesn't conduct electricity." He said, his glow now affecting less and less of the lizards which were resuming their course toward their prey. With only 14 left, the shock they would produce would be lessened, but it was still more than he wanted to experience again.

"Indeed, Master Nakata. Excellent thinking as well as excellent timing!" Unfortunate he did not have ranged weapons, however. His eyes and staff began to glow gold and he slammed the staff against one of the stalagmites. The rock cracked but it did not give. The golden glow faded but he invoked it once more - tiring, this! - this time successfully breaking the rock. It was slightly larger than Nakata's and thus, more clumsy, but he was able to manage it just fine. Setting down his staff in favor of the rock club, he focused his attention to the lizards.

"I do say, let us squish some lizards, no?" He said, aiming for one right in the head as it desperately tried to attack him.

Naka slid across the floor to reclaim his own club, the rushed from in from of Alistair and smashed another lizard. Oh this was starting to get fun, it had gone from a dire situation to a lizard smashing contest. There were now fourteen lizards, and Naka had smashed five so far which means that Alistair must of killed one.
"5 to your 1." He taunted with a smile as he ran, between two lizards, smashing one and getting electrocuted as he went to smash the second. He held onto consciousness now with the boost of the power he had copied from Alistair. Naka's count was now seven.

"A contest? I see. Competitive, are we not, Master Nakata? Very well," he said, slaying one of the lizards. "I accept your challenge." The lizards clearly did not quite realize just how the tables have turned. Alistair scanned the room for the available creatures just waiting to be eliminated, and was able to create the fastest, most efficient route possible in killing them. Nakata would find that Alistair became a rather challenging opponent when it came to game of wits. Despite the fact that this obviously was more of a physical contest than mental, he still managed to find a way for his advanced thought processes to assist him.

Three of them came after him at once, pouncing, biting, and clawing at him in their attempt to zap him. But he was able to predict just how far their pounces would go and just where they would hit him if they managed to do so. This allowed him to dodge just enough so that all of them would not only miss, but one of them missed him by less than an inch. This was intended, for he planned a swing with his rock clumb that, by his calculations, would connect at the very moment one of the lizard's bites would have connected had he not moved. One of them managed to fall away in time to avoid it, but the other two were clubbed in a single go.

The third lizard appeared rather frantic, perhaps due to its companions being blown away in a single hit. Alistair continued his previous swing into a second, throwing it downward in an attempt to crush it. With a swift jump to the side the lizard found an opening and took it. Alistair caught on as soon as he realized the attack would miss, and instead dropped his club to allow him to more easily jump back away from the attack. The lizard landed in front of him, clearly aggravated that it had missed its chance. Alistair took a shock, but not before kicking the neck of the creature in a way that broke its spine. He reacquired his club before moving on to the next target, feeling tingly still not not enough to make a noticeable difference.

Nakata clearly had the numbers advantage here.

Two more came at him in an uncoordinated assault. This was easy. He managed to swing one away just as the second made its attack. It was batted away as he swung the club back in the other direction.

"Six to your seven, sir." But he wasn't done yet.

Naka was enjoying the physical enhancements this mode offered and he was more than happy to add it to what he already knew. A group of them were gathered together in an area and with a grin he figured out a good way to end it. He tossed his makeshift club as hard as he could at a rather large stalactite, causing it to fall and crush four more lizards.

With his recent kill, there were only three lizards left and they took off, bolting back toward the lighted cavern. With that little retreat, they were pretty safe, unless the slugs were venomous brain sucking monsters (which he doubted). With that done, Naka began to gather several bodies of lizards, selecting only those that were not dripping blood anywhere, and ripped off a large piece of his cloak to make a sack. These curious creatures would make excellent research specimens and there just so happened to be a kid at the school who might be able to help him with a theory he had.
"eleven to six." He said with a grin as he let himself revert back to normal. It was an interesting feeling this, and even better, he was starting to get a grip on it.
