Serenity was filled with wonder the first time she saw a horse. Now she was filled with a mixture of terror and excitment as she saddled (under instruction) and mounted one. It seemed calm with her, as the others were unnerved and jittery. She guessed ground creatures didn't like flying. She had no idea if they could tell or not.
Carefully taking one of the moderate paths, Serenity did not need an instructor anymore, though she almost lost control more than once. The reason was that her mind drifted. She had thoughts about Danger. It was uncomfortable to see him, as she though he was trying to avoid her. Maybe he wasn't, but she didn't want to bother him, but she killed his friends and blew up his ship.... She forced herself not to think about it.
Anyway, Serenity looked up. Instead of being clear, as the ''TV'' said, it was cloudy. It looked like rain. But, water was deadly to her. She didn't like it, though the cool feel of it before she blacked out was nice. If only she could feel it without fear... To bad she had no umbrella.

So he was a pirate. It didn't mean he didn't know how to ride a horse. As a matter of fact, he was pretty good at it. The horse he was on was named Sally. He thought it was a funny name for a horse, but who was he to judge? He galloped Sally as fast as she could go, steering her with one hand, letting out a whoop with the fun of the speed. He pulled up the horse to a rapid stop, since the rider ahead of him was going rather slowly, and had just entered a place that had room for one horse at a time. Sally let out a frustrated snort at being pulled short, and tossed her head, meaning to hit Danger in the head. Danger, instead bopped her over the head, and she snorted again. "Oh shut up Sally." he growled at the horse in his low baritone, unique accent making his words lilt.

He ran a hand through his white blond hair, shaking it into dull brown eyes. He glanced at the person before and noticed her wings. It was Serenity. He didn't bother to greet her, and returned his gaze to the horse, who was beginning to bob her head again. He bopped her on the head again, and she snorted. "Yeah yeah..Whine about it.." he mumbled to her, rubbing her gently between the ears.

Serenity knew who was behind her. But she didn't want him to be her. She was afraid of him now. She had messed his life up bad, but what if he wanted revenge? She took a trail to the far left, hoping he would not follow her.
If he did, then she would pretend not to notice, bu then again, she was starting to loose her cool. She had heard him ''whoop''.
I'm getting pulled apart. I have to stay together, but he's always around when I have peace... Which os scaring me, because when I have peace, there's usually no one around.... Which scares me more.
She was jolted back into reality as the horse stopped. The was a huge wall of brambles.
"Oh, Goodness, why me?!"
She mumbled, blowing in a hole big enough for a horse and led her horse in.
Where ever this was, it was filled with shadows. At leasat, all the shadows were bigger here. She put a fire ball in her hand to shorten them, or at least, make the hairs on her neck go back down.

Danger pulled his horse to a stop, watching her and the horse retreat. "Well, I'd say she knew it was me," he said to the horse in Italian, under his breath. Sally snorted in reply. They understood tone, not language. He smiled and petted her head. "I suppose we should follow her to make sure the rain doesn't kill her, huh?" he questioned the horse, continuing to speak in low Italian. Sally bobbed her head. "My thoughts exactly." he lapsed into Russian for that comment, then whispered, "We'd best be quiet," in Italian again, as he steered Sally slowly after Serenity. He followed at such a distance that he could not make out the details of her wings, but instead simply that she had wings. He kept Sally at a walk, her hooves making no noise against the soft turf.

Serenity stopped. The path was branching off again, and the clouds were clearing and showing the early sunset. Sereneity took the clearest path. She didn't want to use her power to much, it made her uncomfortable in wooded areas. the sight she came upoun surprised her greatly.
A large stone fountain stood in the middle of a cobblestoned courtyard, while mardle statues of angels and other mythical creatures sorrounded it. Black stone benches lined the edge, mostly covered in vines. All the sudden, when her foot hit the cobblestones, the fountain started, and lights she had not noticed were filling the courtyard with a magical glow.
It was the quiet stillness, the silent Twilight that made her worry. There were no birds, then agian, there were no trees. A soft breeze ruffled leaves and broke the silence, and to Serenity's relief, she heard a nightgale from the forest. There seemed no evil presence in this place. It must, just must, be one of the sacred places where no evil could touch, or at least, an evil heart could not enter, or something. She sat down on one of the benches, looking at the fountain.

((... No questions, and NO, I'm not going to make her fall in love with him. :P ))

Danger didn't say anything, and dismounted Sally, leaving her to graze. He walked silently, crouching behind a bush, out of sight, watching Serenity. It made him feel weird, sneaking around like that, but somehow, he had the feeling that sooner or later she was going to need him. So there he was, waiting silently. For what, he didn't know, but something was coming.

Serenity knew she would have peace for the rest of the night, if not for the rest of the time she was here. She had let her horse go back to the stable before she entered the courtyard, so she had no worries about that. She could always just fly out.
The next thing Serenity knew was that she was looking at the moon rise and was starting to doze off.
Thirty minutes passed, and there was nothing but the sounds of night birds and the rush of the water in the fountain.

((You pick what happens, but I tihnk, I know, It's Dangers turn to get himself into trouble... :P ))

He decided that she was safe, and just as silently as he had come, left her where she was. He walked back to his horse, and mounted her, steering her out of the alcove. He didn't get very far out of Serenity's blown up path, however, before he saw a rather large group of men riding towards him. He called to them with a "Hey!" waving, and they came over to him.

The leader looked Danger over with a practiced eye for a moment, probably trying to make him flinch, but he didn't. Nope, Danger just stared back solidly. The leader shrugged. "We're looking for one of them creepy mutants. This one's got wings." Danger simply raised an eyebrow. "You seen it?"

Danger didn't get a chance to answer though, because they noticed the rather obvious burnt hole. "This way men!" the leader yelled, but that was the only thing he yelled. For in the time it took for him to yell that, he was struck over the head with the butt of Danger's dagger. "Probably should let you know that I am one of them creepy mutants." he turned to the rest of the men with a smirk, holding Sally steady.

Serenity started when she heard yelling not to far from where she was. She stood up immediatly, almost blinded completely in the dark. She quickly found Peace, and led him from the courtyard.
She decided it was best to tuck her wings in below her shirt, she didn't want them to rip or anything, plus, there was another shout and many horse feet cloping.
With a small sigh, Serenity started to lead Peace back the way they came. Why, why was it always her with the creepy sounds in the middle of the night, who always had something emtionally wrong with her life.
Noises. More of them, coming from up ahead. What she saw made her shudder and get ready to use her powers for violence.
"Why is it always, just always me?!"
Serenity mumbled, mounting Peace.

The horses didn't reach Serenity, as a matter of fact, they didn't get past Danger. Yet. He was holding the gate, holding Sally in place, moving her to block the way of all of the horses. He was doing it one handedly, with his Dagger back in his belt. No dagger, but he did have his sword. He used it for the simple fact that it was longer.

"Move out of the way Mutant, we don't want you." the second in command sneered, since the leader was still unconcious on the ground.

Danger grinned. "Deary, I'm a pirate. I thrive to fight." he dipped his head, moving his sword out in a flash as the second in command tried to pass him. The sword didn't connect with flesh, but instead, sliced through the girth of the horses saddle, making the man fall off. He bopped that one on the head too. Two down, 4 to go. He looked up at them and grinned as the saddleless horse bolted back to the stables from whence it came.
