Corey had to think. He had no recollection of the faces of other experiments but perhaps there were others. Besides, the facility kept them separated. “I’m not sure. I never saw anybody else. Except you,” he explained. In some ways, Corey hoped that there was no one else who had been tormented by his captors but in reality, there were probably other test subjects. If there were others, he supposed it was comforting that there were definitely two people who had escaped. That meant that others could too.

He was grateful that he offered to help. It was nice to know he at least had someone to rely. He hadn’t had that in years. Going it alone was a lot harder than knowing someone else had your back. “Thank you,” he began, “but I don’t actually have a phone yet.” A phone meant he could be tracked and that meant they could find him. Corey knew that the island was different, safe, but his insecurities were not something he could just shake off.

Even though he didn’t completely trust him yet, if he was in fact a spy for the company, it would be better to lead him believe that he did trust him. Any sign that his intentions weren’t what they were prresented to be, he would be out of there. “I’m Corey, by the way.”

Aedan Drago

There were likely others, perhaps escaped, perhaps still captive, the organization had never been found, just an empty compound. "Well.....let's hope there was only us," it was unlikely, but he'd hope all the same.

Pulling a pen and a piece of paper he'd write the number down and give it to him. "There's phones in the school you can use...in the dorm lobbies and the offices," he had questions, but he supposed they could wait for now, he didn't want triggering any bad memories in him.

"Aedan....Aedan Drago," a part of him was still hesitant giving him information, but if the guy needed help then he couldn't just turn a blind eye. "I've been here for two years.....I can assure you that this island is safe and that school especially so," he'd nod and look him over, "you'll be ok."

“Yeah...” he agreed. Corey hoped that there was no one else that had been through the ruthless testing and experiments. No one deserved to be treated that way. He didn’t even wish that kind of treatment on those who did it to him.

His hand gently took the piece of paper graciously. “Thank you.” It was nice to know that he had someone he could just talk to, like he wasn’t completely alone anymore. He would have held back from calling too often, though. If Aedan was a foe, he didn’t want to reveal too much and if he wasn’t, then he wouldn’t want to annoy him.

Smiling, he looked up to Aedan. “I should probably leave you to it.” He could have been busy and perhaps the mere sight of Corey would start to bring back less favourable memories. “It was nice meeting you.”
