William sighed, and chuckled, looking at him somewhat kindly. Don't worry, there is still half an hour left. 'Sides, I know a shortcut. He signaled for Emil to follow him, turning around and, when reaching a corner of the hallway, looking left and right. One never knew when kicking a bully, since the bully could always return with a backup. That didn't seem to be the case now, so he went forward, opening the door to the fire escape.

Here, we'll be there in a minute.

The fire escape? Emil hesitated. Wasn't this supposed to be used during emergencies only? He was grateful to William for saving him and he still felt rather bad over arguing earlier, but he didn't want to get himself into trouble either. He was sure he could make it in the time with his map if he ran, which would be a lot of work but certainly better than getting caught breaking the rules..

After a moment of chewing his lower lip he spoke up, looking at his roommate with obvious worry in his eyes. "Are we allowed to use this? I mean, I thought it was for emergency only..."

William turned back towards him, raising an eyebrow. I thought this was an emergency. You seemed pretty panicked back then. he chuckled, exiting through the door. Come, we won't be actually going anywhere, Warrior just needs a place to jump from. Though, if you are afraid of heights, I do not recommend going through with this plan. And the said plan was this: find a high ground from which the window of the classroom you needed was visible, and make Warrior jump while carrying you- William frequently used it ever since Warrior came up with the crazy idea one day when the boy was late and complained about it more than usually since he had a test.

Come on, you going or not? I need to get to my own classroom too.

Well, yes, it was an emergency in a way, but not in the manner that validates using the fire escape, Emil though to himself before realising that William had probably been joking. Once that sank in, he made a small laugh and walked forward. Then the actual implications of the plan in question hit the boy. Jump? Warrior was going to jump from here? Granted, the creature wasn't human, who knew what it could do, but when Emil thought about hurrying from one classroom to the other, he had certainly not expected jumping across the grounds to be the ideal way.

Well, he didn't exactly mind heights and if William was this sure it had to be safe, right? Furthermore, he didn't want to complain even more after all the whining he had already done, so he simply nodded to himself and responded.

"Of course, of course, let's...Let's try it."

His voice did betray a bit of his uncertainty, but he gripped on to Warrior and hoped for the best.

Great. William said, smiling widely as he truly enjoyed this sort of thing, no matter what the circumstances were. You'll go first them. He can't carry both of us at the same time and make a safe landing. He'll come back for me once you're down. He then turned towards Warrior to make sure that was okay with him, and the creature nodded. He didn't mind jumping around a bit if it was to make sure Emil arrived on time. Plus, it also meant William wasn't making him go fetch him coffee again.

William then turned towards Spirit, opening his mouth to say something, but the wolf already knew. I'll go using the staircase thank you very much. the wolf said, shaking his tail as if he was annoyed, while he actually wanted to laugh a bit, and started climbing the fire escape to the next floor since that was where William's classroom was anyway.

Okay, let's go!

Emil looked at Warrior for a second and swallowed. If William did this often it couldn't be against the rules, right? The swordsman did intimidate him, however. Besides, flying through the air wasn't exactly on his to-do list for today. But if it saved him time...

The boy remained like that for a while, lingering on one foot, considering the pros and cons of this idea. William had just stood up for him and he was sure he wasn't going to trick him into anything. Besides, he had already complained way too much today. William was his friend and he was going to trust him on this. Without any further objections, Emil walked forward towards Warrior. It hadn't struck him before now that he didn't know exactly how the creature was going to do this.

"So, uh... Do I grab him, or does he carry me, or..?" Emil asked sheepishly, already feeling bad over asking yet another question.

Oh, yeah, I forgot you are not as strong as me... Hmm. William said, tilting his head to the left, as if he was evaluating the boys strenght and for how long he could hold. Just climb on his back. he then said, putting his head in a normal position again and cracking his neck. Like a piggyback ride. He won't let you fall even if you lose your grip.

Warrior frowned a bit at the 'piggyback ride' part of the William's sentence, but in the end he just nodded towards the smaller, not wanting to frighten him. Do not worry. If I can carry the beer barrel like, I can carry you. You do not look heavier than the bag of feathers anyway.
