Stefan realized his word choice was poor and grimaced a little at the irritation that was creeping into her voice. He was just trying to get a better understanding of her whole situation. Adjusting the mirrored aviators he looked back to Sylvi.
"Well, at least you weren't stripped of that. Definitely still something to be proud of."
Something to be proud of. That brought his mind back to Trinity and that brought them right back around to Sylvi's next question and statement.
"Well...I've met one other valkyrie...in training...I guess. I dunno how she's doing actually. But as far as directly us, that's all I know of. I was meaning more of our heritage as in those that had followed our stories and worshipped our relatives. Those of the Norse heritage. Descendants of them."

Sylvi

Sylvi narrowed her eyes at Stefan, before letting out a sigh. The thought that she could lose her status as a valkyrie was ridiculous. "As if that would ever happen." She answered flatly, taking a sip of her water.

She raised an eyebrow when Stefan said there was another valkyrie, or one in training at the very least. Part of her wondered why she hadn't been told about this sooner. "May I ask who they are?" Even if she didn't actually know them, she still wanted to meet them.

She couldn't help but smirk when Stefan elaborated on having her advise those on the island on any questions that they could have. It was certainly a tempting thought, and even if she didn't like being stuck on a island full of mortals, it would certainly help to feed her ego. "I see. I will admit that I certainly am in a better position then most to answer any questions they may have then most. Though I can already guess what many of them will ask."

Slyvi's confidence that bordered on arrogance reminded Stefan of home. It brought a smile to his face until she asked about the other Valkyrie. He had a suspicion, if they were still around, they wouldn't take too kindly to seeing Sylvi.

"Trinity. I haven't seen her in a bit though. She seemed to really be struggling with everything."

Stefan called it as he saw it. There was a part of him that figured Sylvi wouldn't take the kind of sympathy on her that he had. Sylvi seemed extremely proud of herself and her heritage, and rightfully so. He nodded as Sylvi continued on about knowing what most will ask.

"Very likely the questions you would expect, but we also both know that a lot of the stories are wrong, or at least inaccurate. This could be a chance to teach the right ones, and correct the mistakes."

Sylvi

"Trinity?" Sylvi asked, repeating the name a few times to see if it rung any bells. "I vaguely recall meeting someone by that name once. I cannot say I am surprised she ended up here. The training tends to favor on the.. intensive, side." She said with a smirk. "Still, I will be sure to keep an eye out for her."

She just rubbed her forehead when Stefan mentioned their stories. "Do not get me started on those." She said, taking a big drink of her water, and suddenly regretting that it wasn't beer or mead. "Why are mortals so seemingly determined to get everything so.. wrong?"

Stefan chuckled at Sylvi's reaction. He understood the feeling all too well. Having lived among them for years at this point, he had heard about every tale they had gotten wrong.
"Believe it or not they get their own history wrong. Can't expect them to keep ours straight if they screw up their own."
He stretched and leaned back in his chair a bit before continuing.
"Makes for good conversation though, telling the real stories. The reactions you get are pretty priceless."

Sylvi

Sylvi snorted at that. "You cannot be serious about that, are you?" She asked, she had at least expected them to get their own histories right. If they didn't care to learn their own past, what hope could she have to convince them of theirs?

"Why are mortals so.." She trailed off, trying to think of the right way to phrase it. "Ignorant?" She finished, before giving an apologetic look towards Stefan. "Er. No offense intended, of course."

She'd laugh at the idea of the reactions she'd get. "Oh gods, can you imagine when I tell them about Thor?" She asked between laughs.

Waving off the apology, Stefan smiled back to Sylvi letting her know he took no offense to her statement. Generalizations like that were easy in this case and didn't apply to everyone. If someone couldn't understand that, then they would have a hard time in life.
"No apologies needed. I know what you meant. But, most of their inaccuracies actually come from political propaganda. They 'change' history to paint themselves in a better light than what actually happened."
He tossed up air quotes for the word change and continued on. Cocking his head to the side, it was obvious he had just thought about something.
"You know...I bet that's why they get our history wrong. They have changed it to fit their story better. Would explain why they got a lot of you father wrong."

A small chuckle followed thinking about most mortals reactions to Sylvi telling them about her dad.
