Private A Distraction

She'd giggle. "Did you?" she'd gently lift Lizzy's chin, leaning down to look into her eyes. "I got to dance with a pretty girl, so I'd say I real winner," she'd smirk. "But, fine, I'll buy you something," she was enjoying the night. "Just nothing to expensive, I have a job but I'm not rich."

The cat girl would gently wrap her arm around the other girl's waist. "That said, the party isn't over yet hon," she'd smile, "a party full of magic people no less." Indeed a few people were showing off spells and other abilities. There was also now a few drink and food trays floating around.

"Whatcha want to do next hon?" she'd ask, tilting her head, trying to look extra cute for Lizzy.

"Nah I'm good hon, I'll wait here," she'd say with a smile and a wink. The cat girl would wait, hmming a bit, watching as the other partygoers danced and mingled. She was having a good time, life had been pretty good for her lately.

"Shiro," a voice suddenly called to her from the crowd. The cat girl would freeze up a moment before sighing. She knew the voice. The source of the voice, a boy emerged from the crowd, stepping to her.

"What do you want Geoff?" she'd ask, already a little uncomfortable with the guy popping up.

"Just a dance," the boy would say with a huff. "You like dancing....and maybe dinner? I know you'd enjoy it."

Shiro would sigh. "I've told you, I'm gay, not into guys, we've been through this."

He'd narrow his eyes. "Look, a date won't hurt you," he'd grab her elbow. "Just one damn date."

Geoff would look and glare at Lizzy. "Piss off runt," he'd say, tightening his grip on Shiro's arm, making the cat girl flinch a bit.

"Leave her alone Geoff," Shiro would say, unsuccessfully trying to pry her arm away from the boy. "Leave us both alone."

"Just....shut up Shiro." The boy would hold his grip, looking between the two girls, his eyes finally landing on Lizzy. "Just run along, I'm not done talking to the cat."

Shiro would look at Lizzy in surprise, it seemed that Geoff had a talent at pissing people off. "Geoff...just stop," she'd ask, still unsuccessfully trying to free her arm.

"Listen you...," he'd step to Lizzy, dragging Shiro with him, twisting her arm a bit as he did, "it's not my fucking fault that puberty skipped you, you tiny, flat chested runt." He'd been drinking, both girls would be able to smell it.

The cat girl would flinch as her arm was twisted, she was about to shift if things didn't turn around. "Geoff, you're hurting me."

Geoff ignored the cat girl, he was focused on the heated discussion with Lizzy.

"Tell the cops fucking what runt?!" he'd say with a sneer, his words slurring a bit. "I'm just trying to get a dance." He'd say, continuing to glare at the small girl.

Shiro finally managed to free her arm, holding it in her other hand with a hiss, rubbing the spot he'd grabbed. "Leave her alone Geoff," she'd say with a quiet cat like hiss.

"Shut the fuck up Shiro," he'd tell her before turning back to Lizzy. "You, you just crawl back to wherever you came from runt, mind your own business."
