Scarlet frowned as she looked around the darkened forest, but couldn't see anything. It was at times like this she wished terribly she could hear, but she couldn't. So she had to rely on her sight. What she was frowning for was that she had seen movement ten feet to her left. But when she looked there nothing was there. Trying not to show any fear, she decided to speak.

If anything is out there, show yourself. She spoke with her mind. She waited.

Eben walked through the forest. He couldn't sleep, he never could with all the memories of strange people he doesn't and the pain. Everyone had pain, he was sick of feeling it, he always felt their pain, when he didn't want to. Suddenly as he walked, he fell to his knees and clenched his head with his hands. His jaw closed tight, and eyes shut, as if trying to block a memory out.

"Not a again." He whimpered slightly, as he saw his mother getting shot, then his mother being tied and being slumped over the shoulder of unknown man, and then his father, fighting, then knocked out, then his sister, and brother, thy were only toddlers. When the memory was over, he was shivering, with fright. His eyes stayed closed as he tried not to think about it.

Scarlet KNEW someone was out there. No one was showing their face, but she wasn't sure if they were speakig to her. But she felt a presence there in the forest with her and frowned darkly. She decided to walk the perimeter of about fifteen feet around where she stood. She started walking slowly.

After seven and a half minutes, Scarlet was startled at the side of the form of a person nealing down in the grass and leaves. Who are you? She questioned, her lips pursed.

Eben was startled when he heard a voice that seemed to be in his head. He looked up, his eyes growing to there normal dull look. He looked at the girl then looked away and shivered. New memories, new pains, he thought sadly to himself.

"I'm.... Eben Bane." He said, his voice a little hoarse, and he cleared his throat. He ran a shaking hand through his messy hair, making it more tangled then what it was before.

Scarlet Grant. Um, what're you going outhere? If you don't mind my asking... She walked around him to face him. But she kept a good four feet away from him.

"I'm... I couldn't sleep, so I came out here, to get away from the academy for a while, it gives me headaches to be around there so much." He said, thinking a minute. Then a headache did come, as he tried to push more memories away, though without success like usual, he saw the night his brother got stabbed, this time, through Trephas' eyes.

Eben gave out a strangled cry of pain, and again he clenched his head, trying to block the memories out. He fell to the forest floor. His eyes were wide a moment with fear, and pain, then he closed the tight, once again shaking a bit.

Startled, Scarlet took a large stepback. Then quickly knelt beside him. Are you alright? She asked, concerned.

He shuddered, as the memory ended, and he opened his eyes and looked at Scarlet. "I... I'm in pain." He said, and laughed a little, as if it was a joke, but he knew it wasn't funny, but it was so common for him to be in pain.

Scarlet frowned. Are you hurt? She had no idea who he was, if he was lying, if he planned on killing her, or what he was even doing here, but that didn't matter at the moment. She was only concerned about his well-being. Which shocked her slightly.

Eben slowly pulled himself in a sitting position, and put a hand to his head, and groaned. He had a terrible headache. "I'm hurt... in a way.... but nothing can cure it, it has.... something to do with my power." He said quietly.
