When Sumi mentioned a tail, Flutterpip flew around back and saw he did not have one. Now she was confused (something that was neither unusual nor difficult). Could he be some sort of shapeshifter? Well, that is a personal thing, and she should not ask, so she did not.
She watched with curiosity as he seemed to pushed the wolf pup image onto a scroll. Soon the life-like image wolf pup was now a picture that still looked like it could jump off the page.
"Ooh! You are good!"
Flutterpip appreciating his work add, "I could have made it move. My mon is better at that than me. She might be able to make it a dream creature like she did me."
********
Naisis was seriously ticked! She told Flutterpip not to go wandering off at least, not before telling her. She was tracking her little one by the popcorn scents, although she was detoured by a popcorn vendor. When she finds her, Flutterpip will be grounded for a millennium.
Calling out her name as she went, she finally heard her voice. Wading through the crowd to find her Flutterpip with a stranger - a boy dressed in black and white clothes carrying a very overloaded backpack. She told her about strangers, especially here in a strange town, but she should have known better. Crossing her arms, she gave her little charge a stern look.
"You should not have gone off like that."
"Oh, mom! This is Sumi No Ookami. He draws picture books," she points to the scroll with the wolf pup on it, "He has ink for blood."
Naisis blinks at Flutterpip's last remark. She had met many in her travels in Reality, but none that had ink for blood.
