Open Finished A couple of girls in a new town

Naisiskhrea and Flutterpip finally made it to the Manta Carlos, after a short time London England (where one of the few portals from the Subliminal to the Earth was).

Actually, she chooses London, since there was an all-night pizza place just a few blocks down the road from where the portal was hidden. From there they were taken to Manta Carlos City. Before crossing over, she added that moonstone choker to her ensemble (a black with gold trim floor-length gown and a silver belt with an onyx buckle) after learning it was daylight there.

Although Avax Set had his reasons for sending them here (one was to establish a link between Manta Carlos and the Subliminal), she had hers as well. Top of her list was to research the Heart-song. After a century with it, all she knew was its name and it could not be taken. She had searched Avax Set's library without any success. She was hoping the libraries here might have something.

She headed to the academy while keeping an eye on Flutterpip, wondering what was in store for her. They had many adventures together, but, this was the first one that they were the principal players.

Flutterpip Had been flying around under the watchful eyes of Naisiskhrea greeting others and handing out some popcorn while avoiding the sunlight. When she saw a boy with a strange backpack full of stuff. It was so full it was overflowing. Flying over to examine, she realized all the things in his bag were art supplies.

Grinning, she thought 'an artist!'

She had always wanted to meet one of those who made those picture books in Avax Set's library. Maybe he was one.

Flying almost in his face, she asked joyfully, "do you make picture books?"

She blushed (although nobody would have noticed) at what she just did knowing Naisis would not approve.

Backing off some with a sheepish look, she added, "sorry, I am new to this," poking out her tiny hand, she continued, "I am Flutterpip, who are you?"

She looked down to her and realizing he could not shake it, she dropped it. But another idea popped into her head, "would you like some popcorn?"

Naisiskhrea has been keeping a watchful eye on Flutterpip when a delightful scent reached her nose - Pizza! But, just, not any pizza - her favorite! That is when she noticed Flutterpip was not anywhere to be seen. With a sigh, she headed off to find her.

Upon mentioning she made comics, she brightened up, "oh, do you have one I could look at?"

While she was flying around, she flew into a ray of sunlight, which caused her to yelp and quickly fly out of it, giving that spot a dirty look. Recovering some and keeping a better lookout for daylight, she notices he had tightened up a black jacket trying to keep what was in the bag in the bag.

"You have a lot of stuff in your bag. Any more, you will need a bigger bag." Flying closer, she tried to peer in, "what all do you have in there? If you want, I can call my mom. She has a big bag. You can put your stuff in there."

When Sumi searched and reorganized his bag, Flutterpip noticed a bunch of bottles with black ink but no pens, which she thought was a bit odd. Soon Sumi was showing her the cartoons. She chuckled at the dog one and smiled at the fish set.

Handing the dog one back to Sumi, she commented, "I like them. You are good and will get better with time. My first attempt at stick figures was pretty bad." She giggled, remembering just how bad they were.

Another thought popped into her head and, from the mischievous look on her face, a devious one. She stared at the last frame of the fish one and concentrated - no good, too much light! Finding a really dark corner, she flew up and tried again - success. Quickly, she flew back down to Sumi, knowing the magic would not last long in the sunlight. Quite pleased with herself, she showed the cartoon to Sumi. In the last frame, a fish was swimming around and bumping into that invisible wall. But it only lasted for a few seconds before that fish froze.

"My magic doesn't work well in the sunlight," she paused and pursed her lips, "I can make it last longer, but I need a drop of my blood."

"It is always nice to learn new things; that is why I am here," her excitement diminished some as she thought about some of the stuff she might be learning, "well, most of the time, it is."

She grinned with delight at his, seeming approval, "I can do much better in the night."

Flutterpip blinked in surprise when he mentioned he was made of ink, "like what was in those bottles?"

She watched as small cut formed on the tip of his index finger, and black blood (or as he called it, ink) oozed out, "that is the same color as my blood!" With every increasing excitement, she watches him draw or paint a baby wolf. She clapped with glee when he was done.

"Ooh, can I have it! then I can make it my own pet."

Her ears perked up as she heard her mom calling. Flying up, she called out "over here, mom!"
