Tick-tock, tick-tock...Jii stared at the rather oversized clock on the wall in anticipation. The waiting was killing her, even though Tomomi wasn't late. In fact, a definitive time for her to come over hadn't even been set, and yet, Jii was unreasonably anxious. Maybe she got lost? Or...maybe she just doesn't want to see me...The tiny pixan clutched a brightly colored hair dye kit, the box covered with bold-font exclamations of WOW! and CRAZY!, she had picked out this particularly excitably branded mostly because she thought Tomo might like it.
She swung her feet idly from her seat on the two-cushioned couch, looking over at the towering pile of rented dvds on the coffee table from time to time. She had no real idea of what kind of films Tomomi liked, and thus had a title representative of nearly every genre from comedy to horror, with some first-season disks of a few anime shows as well. Her eyes drifted from the movies, to the clock, and then to the door, cycling through these with a speed relative to her slowly rising anxiety. If she did show up, it would surely be a lovely night, but only time would tell...
