A Cold Day of Silence

"I am used to the pain. I know when it will come along, right down to the very second. That doesn't mean I can hide it. That's something I can never do."

"Hmm, that's odd. I know many people who have pain but have gotten used to it to the point where a slash seems like a bug bite. They're odd people but they grew accustomed to pain so it was nothing." She said looking at him. "It's odd that the pain can't be dulled or ignored." She said thinking.

"Actually, my other personality pratically begged me to tell you that,"

"I don't believe you, he isn't the type that would want to tell me. Especially so bluntly and rudely." She said looking at him with a sturn look on her face. "You really shouldn't lie." She assumed this personality didn't like her, she was used to it nonetheless. She didn't have a crush on them, or like them in that way. She probably wouldn't for a long while too, she didn't understand how the boy already liked her a lot. She was pretty sure he deserved the slap, after all he was a bit jerky. She was right about that she knew that for sure.

She sat on a log, it was getting dark already she didn't mind it. She liked darkness, darkness was always easy on one's eyes. She looked up into the sky, the moon wasn't out completely yet. She saw the first star to appear in the sky, she then looked back to the boy. "Why are you so rude? And why is your other personality so nice?" She said curiously.

That last question got both personalities thinking, and arguing again. Why does she think I'm such a jerk? If anything you're the jerk around here. I mean, I thought I told you not to fall in love with anyone without my permission. Hey, I thought I was allowed to think whatever I want. I mean, it's my body too. Yeah, but I'm controlling it, so shove off... or, just leave me alone!

Meanwhile, Adrian was totally unaware that he was staring at the ground, at least until the wind blew in his face, leaving it cold. "Huh? Oh, right... nasty... you know, it's not nice to call someone rude. I mean, I could be a nice guy, just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Anyway... it hadn't always been like that... umm, what did my other self say again? I wasn't paying attention."

"I see." She looked down thinking for a minute, she then looked up. "Well then, let's go somewhere else so it isn't the wrong place. That why you can prove your not a jerk." She said getting up and grabbing ahold of his arm tugging him along. She knew he could have many reactions to it, but she figured if they were going to spend time together she may as well try getting along with him. Besides she had no other friends to spend time with. She figured the Lake was a nice quiet place, possibly he'd feel less crabby there.

She was only thinking about friendship, nothing else was on her mind. She was sick of being down, and figured that making at least one friend would help her. She tugged on his arm gently, hoping he'd follow. She hated to be alone, it had been her first time in months not being alone. A cold breeze made chills run down her spine, she remembered the time she was forcing herself to practice with her element in the winter on the lake. That was when she got ill and Sonlath had turned her part werewolf so she wouldn't die. She had mistaken his actions for something more than friendship, it was only because he didn't want to see another person die. Her smile dropped a bit as she thought of it.

Adrian felt a tugging on his arm and he suddenly realised that he was being dragged along. "Umm, you know, I didn't mean that literally, but whatever. Say, where are we going anyway?"

He was not aware that his life would change for the second time there.

"Umm, you know, I didn't mean that literally, but whatever. Say, where are we going anyway?"

"I know, but a new place can help sometimes." She said with a light smile, continuing to tug him along. She wondered if she should tell him where they were going, some people might refuse. She pondered whether to say it's a surprise or to tell him. She decided if she told him it wouldn't be as exciting and possibly helpful to him. She just smiled, "You'll see." She knew the moon would reflect on the water making it quite a hard place to be angry. She figured it'd be the best place to start anew with a friendship. She could be quite spontanious when she wanted to be.

They were almost to the lake, the moon was so amazingly bright already. She figured it'd be a nice time for them to bond as friends. Maybe he wouldn't hate her as much then, she hoped to make friends with him. She really was sick of being alone, and sad. She needed someone to spend time with. Maybe even a shoulder to cry on.
