A Cold Day of Silence

"Well... it really depends on if they CAN be burnt or frozen. For example, since your powers are water, you could probably extinguish whatever fires I start... oh, and I can only burn stuff at night and freeze stuff at day."

She smiled, she couldn't help but wonder why he had called her fine looking. It was going to bother her for a while, but she wasn't able to bluntly ask him why he had called her that. She tried to not let it bother her, but it was rather hard. "I see, well that's handy. You can have firelight at nightime and cool off in the daytime." She said with a light smile. She was feeling somewhat better now, she had at least gotten the sad things off her mind. She did feel so much better to have someone around even if the person was a little strange and such.

She wondered what it was like to have people who cared about you. She imagined the boy must've had a loving family for him to never bleed. She never had that kind of care, it was only reform schools and boarding school for her. Even if she didn't cause trouble she was sent there. She just decided she would survive better if she played the part since people at reform schools were abusive and treated her like worthless garbage anyway. She wondered why people were so dumb in so many ways.

Adrian smiled, while the recessive personality threw up inside. "Yeah, but I can't really do any of that stuff for too long. Use up too much of my fire powers, and I could die of overheating my body temperature. Too much ice powers and I suffer from Hypothermia and... probably die there too." He didn't know why he was saying that stuff. He looked west, and noticed that the sun was going down. That pain he was going to talk about... that would happen again. "Awh crap," he said quietly to himself.

She nodded. she knew most of this stuff but she didn't want him to seem dumb. So she let him talk about it, She heard him cuss lightly and she wondered what it was about. She didn't know what to do, she sighed, realizing she didn't know what to talk about. She saw it was getting later slowly, she wasn't afraid of the dark. She looked at him, 'I suppose you'll have your power of fire soon." She said thougtfully, she looked at the sky she looked saddened. She could tell tonight was gonna be a full moon, she didn't transform usually but still. The possiblity was always in the back of her mind, luckily she could supress it since she was only 1/4 werewolf. She didn't gain many properties from turning werewolf other than advanced healing.

She wasn't good at talking to people, she tried to think of something to talk about but she couldn't think of one. Besides the fact she was now thinking about the past, which made it harder for her to converse. One could tell the sadness lurking in her, she looked down possibly even depressed. She hated the fact that the day would end and she'd be alone. When she was alone sad thoughts would come to her.

The sun was setting, but Adrian simply stared at the ground. His thoughts were preparing for the swap. Alright. Now to insult her. What? But... she's hot, especially for someone a year younger than me. Shaddup you! If we don't swap soon, we'll... uhh, we'll swap anyway. This is why you need me. So that I can remind you of the finer details.

Suddenly, a great, sharp pain hit Adrian in the head. He was used to this already, but nevertheless he could not help but keel over. He tried to resist screaming, but was having extreme difficulty. He groaned and shut his eyes tightly. He knew it wouldn't last long, but to him the pain was lasting far too long. He couldn't concentrate his thoughts on anything else. He couldn't even concentrate. He was in too much agony yet again.

She looked at him worried, she moved next to him placing a hand lightly on his shoulder. "You okay?" She asked him a bit worried since she didn't know that this was normal for the boy. She wondered why she was being nice, she didn't know why. But she felt she needed someone to be around even if just for a short time. She did truly hate being alone, but she was so sad in her heart that in order to protect it she stayed alone most of the time. She didn't want to be hurt, she didn't want to have a reason to be sad. She rather just be lonely than lonely and sad because someone hurt her.

She had very complicated thoughts most of the time in her mind. Most of them made close to no sense. But she thought and abided by them most of the time. She looked at the boy, concerned, if she had to she could revert to wolf form and try healing him if it was a injury. And if she didn't know how to heal it she could bring him to the doctors, and then if worst case she could turn him werewolf though it prolly wouldn't have as much effect since she wasn't a full werewolf and she was only part.

Adrian couldn't even hear the girl's question. His head was in so much pain that all other feeling had disappeared. Then, without warning, the pain stopped. Adrian felt relieved, though different. His personalities swapped, and his scab turned a bright red, matching the colour of fire. All right! Now I'm in control! I'm ok, thanks," he said, his voice sounding a little different. "I just, uhh... had a litlle switch around, if you know what I mean," he said, trying to confuse her. Unlike his other, now recessive personality, Adrian now had the politeness to ask for the girl's name. "Uhh, by the way. I'm Adrian. What's your name?"

She found his actions a little odd, "I'm Moria, you sure you're okay?" She said still concerned, she looked at him her eyes searching to see if he was truly okay. She didn't like to see people in pain, she wanted to help them. She looked at him unsure, "If you need to go to the hospital I can take you there." She said trying to make sure he was truly okay. She was quite concerned even though she had just met him, he truly had looked like he was in pure agony just a moment before. She then noticed his scab was red, she could only wonder why. Not to mention how much pain he was in just moments before. Something wasn't adding up in her mind.

"I said I'm fine!" Adrain said with rising anger. "This normally happens to me about every 12 hours except for the weekend..." he hesitated for a moment. He then sighed. "I... I have two personalities," he started calmly, not noticing his scab. "That's why my powers don't always work. I may suddenly act different after my headaches." He looked down, his wide eyes closed slightly. "Oh, and by the way, my other personality really likes you," he said, his wide eyes fully open and looking at the girl, grinning at the sheer stupidity of the whole situation.

"I said I'm fine! This normally happens to me about every 12 hours except for the weekend... I.. I have two personalities,"

"Oh, so you normally go through that much pain when switching? That's kinda odd, you looked like you could barely handle the pain. But if that's true wouldn't you have been used to that kind of pain when switching if it's done so often and such." She said curiously. She wasn't trying to annoy him, she just was a natural at it. She payed his short temper little mind.

"That's why my powers don't always work. I may suddenly act different after my headaches."

"I noticed, your more of a temper on this personality. Kinda a jerk if you think about it long enough." She said rather bluntly, she knew this guy needed to see her as someone firm or else he'd just walk over her. She wasn't a idiot she could tell his personality to some extent. She wasn't going to be sweet if she wasn't treated sweet. She could already tell he was going to pick on her.

"Oh, and by the way, my other personality really likes you,"

She said nothing only sent a firm hard slap to his face. "You have no right to say that even if you are the same person. He may like me, but you don't therefore you have no right to say such things so bluntly. He would probably have hit you as well, so I'm just doing it for him. Nothing will change." She said in terms of the friendship between her and the other personality. She wasn't going to avoid him just because his other personality was blunt and rude. Though she still felt miserable inside, she was so sick of always being so nice to people or helping them even when it was hard. She herself knew she never had a true friend and well her chance at it was kinda ruined by his alter personality. She really thought she could open to this person eventually. She sighed.

Adrian sighed. "I am used to the pain. I know when it will come along, right down to the very second. That doesn't mean I can hide it. That's something I can never do."

"I noticed, your more of a temper on this personality. Kinda a jerk if you think about it long enough."

Adrian ignored this, but his other personality felt hurt, even though he wasn't the one being insulted.

"You have no right to say that even if you are the same person. He may like me, but you don't therefore you have no right to say such things so bluntly. He would probably have hit you as well, so I'm just doing it for him. Nothing will change."

"Actually, my other personality pratically begged me to tell you that," he said. Of course, he was lying, but his acting skills, he thought, should be enough to convince her. What was really going on was a very long argument that probably wouldn't end until the morning.
