The medicine making him loopy, Eek grinned at her cheesily. "You're cute when you blush, darlin'." His eyes began to roll back into his head as his eyelids closed. Though he didn't go to sleep just yet.

"I smell....." He mumbled something unintelligable.

With a 105 degree fever, Eek thrashed around in his bed. The covers were tangled around him and he was dreaming of a large snake coiling its way around him and squeezing the life out of him. Frantic, Eek tried to wake up but couldn't.

Feeling the soothing touch upon his skin, Eek calmed down considerably. Finally, he began to wake up, his eyes opening the rest of the way. "Am I dead?"

"You sure? 'Cause I'm figuring you're an angel..." After she had said he wasn't, it had all come back to him. Now Eek was just teasing her, though he did think she looked like an angel.

"Like I should be getting sick more often if you're gonna nurse me," He drolled out. Okay, so he was slightly loopy, but it was okay.

"Well, I'm always available,"

Eek grinned happily and took her hand. "In that case....would you be available to go on a date with me once I'm better? We could go to a carnival or something..." He understood now the sickened feelings he had at the sight of food, and didn't want to make that look appear again.

As she answered yes, Eek nodded and reached up to gently stroke her cheek with the tips of his fingers. Then his eyes slowly began to drift closed into sleep.

"Good. You pick the place," he murmured before falling asleep.

The next time Eek woke, he was no longer sick. Opening his eyes, he saw Nyax and tried to remember again why she was there. Then smiling, he sat up with a lazy look on his face.

"You still here?" It was a rhetorical question, and he grinned. He was glad she hadn't left, or even moved.

"Yeah, I'm here."

"Good. Because if you weren't, I'd have had to hunt you down." He grinned evilly though didn't mean a word of it. Sure, he'd go look for her, but not hunt her.

"Um...how are you feeling?"

Casually putting an arm around her shoulders and drawing her against him, Eek smiled. "I'm feeling much better. And how're you, pumpkin?" The endearment had come to him so fast he hadn't had time to stop it from slipping out.
