It was still early in the evening, but Malara was running around her house making sure everything was perfect. She had probably tidied up a hundred times, adjusting her decorations and making sure that the living room had enough space for what she had planned.
It had taken a lot of pleading to get the house all to herself for this. She planned on similar scenarios with them, but Cat was first.
She had gotten a text from Cat earlier in the day, saying that she would stop by for Christmas. Malara had told her to come by anyway, since she had the bulk of the other girl's gift to give to her in private.
Malara knew she was being really spontaneous with this. But recent events had made her realize something, and she didn't want to waste any time. And ever since the simulation, she couldn't get the nagging feeling out of her head.
She just really hoped that Cat didn't freak out or hate her afterwards.
Checking things for a final time, Malara sat down and let her sore muscles finally rest. She had trained all morning, despite the holiday, and was ready to pass out and sleep. Maybe just a bit...
Malara released some of her stored up energy, just enough to ease the ache in her muscles and reinvigorate her. It wouldn't do to falter or nod off. Not when this was so important.
Malara looked back through her book of Praxian culture and religion. She knew the steps. She had memorized and practiced them time and time again. It made for good training too, so it was doubly useful.
The candles were laid out, she was dressed in her traditional Praxian Rohai, a dress made of a long strip of cloth wrapped provocatively around the body. It was red and gold, the color of the Daughters of Flame. But also Christmas-y.
Now all she had to do was wait for Cat to show up.
