Abigail looked at him. "But do you make sure he does his homework every night? That he understands everything?" She stopped. Not everything was about academics. "Do you even take the time to find out if he's ok and how his day went? Is there any attention given at all?"

He shook his head. "Nope." He said not really caring about caring for that kid...it wasn't really his nor was it his choice to take him in knowing Alexiel heard him and only waited for her response.

"Well honestly, I dont belive school helps in anyway, Soahc was pushed onto me like many of the people in my screwed up family, if you want to take custody go right ahead." He challenged like he didn't even care.

Oh, no. Soahc had been uprooted a few times, she was sure of that; she didn't want to ruin his life again or something like that. "Why don't you think school helps? And even if he was forced on to you, what would you want if you were his age and no one cared about you? Hm?"

Alexiel only sunk lower in her seat. If worse came to worse, her womanly wrath would be unleashed. But hopefully it wouldn't be needed.

Jira blinked. "Oh?" He said now looking at her sadistaically. "Well lets see...what would I want if no one cared about me?" He said thinking. "Oh right, I got over it when I was younger." He said looking at her, he was technically about 4 now so he was over people hating him since he had the knowledge he needed.

That was it. Before all out war broke out, Alexiel jumped up and started laughing slightly to keep them both from talking. "Alright," she said, being completely serious now. "We get the point. Forgive Jira here for being who he is." Her crimson eyes narrowed slightly. Even if Jira could be sadistic and cruel at times, the fifteen-year-old took him for who he was and if this lady had a problem with it, then screw her! She wasn't going to stand around and get bad-mouthed by this woman.

"I'd appreciate it if you could KINDLY shut your mouth about how we do things. Sorry that neither of us had as GREAT of a past as you must have had, but you know what? At least we don't freaking TORTURE the poor boy and we make sure he's alright!" She took a breath, trying to calm herself, but it was no use. "Soahc will turn out fine. After all, like you've said — not everything is about academics."

She was done here. She turned to Jira, walking toward the door, not even giving Abigail a chance to reply. "Let's go," she said quietly, walking out and down the hallway. She wasn't even really in the mood to wait for him.

Abigail sat there, speechless. What was there to really say to either of them?
