That was it. Before all out war broke out, Alexiel jumped up and started laughing slightly to keep them both from talking. "Alright," she said, being completely serious now. "We get the point. Forgive Jira here for being who he is." Her crimson eyes narrowed slightly. Even if Jira could be sadistic and cruel at times, the fifteen-year-old took him for who he was and if this lady had a problem with it, then screw her! She wasn't going to stand around and get bad-mouthed by this woman.
"I'd appreciate it if you could KINDLY shut your mouth about how we do things. Sorry that neither of us had as GREAT of a past as you must have had, but you know what? At least we don't freaking TORTURE the poor boy and we make sure he's alright!" She took a breath, trying to calm herself, but it was no use. "Soahc will turn out fine. After all, like you've said — not everything is about academics."
She was done here. She turned to Jira, walking toward the door, not even giving Abigail a chance to reply. "Let's go," she said quietly, walking out and down the hallway. She wasn't even really in the mood to wait for him.
Abigail sat there, speechless. What was there to really say to either of them?
