Andrasta was only slightly miffed when Aedes snatched the paper out of her hand. She followed her over to that street lamp, then watched her work her magic.

She only kind of understood what all those numbers on Aedes's post meant, but it seemed good. She was getting Andrasta's message out, on a front she couldn't have without Aedes's help. The screen started scrolling before Andrasta could catch what the comments actually said.

"There's so many of them already..." she said. There was some awe in her voice. "Thanks Aedes. This means a lot to me."

Ah praise, she could get used to this thought Aedes. Maybe this was what the therapist meant about directing their energies to helping others.

"Yes yes... I know I am quite generous and appreciate your adoration." said Aedes as she basks in her vanity "Since it means so much you I'll make sure more people online get chance to see it. After all its in everyone's interest really to support you on this, they know just need to be aware of it."

Aedes goes on to answer a few comments as well as sending the photo to a few connections she still has to try to promote this. Part of her felt like she she be getting paid for this bit genuine thanks by Andrasta sated her for now.

"There you go... now half the school will know about it while the other half will hopefully just see the posters. So uhh..." Aedes looks around warily, then inquires "... I guess we are good now right? Not more... punching me in the face again?"

Andrasta laughed a little at how Aedes accepted her thanks. Was this her way of trying to brush off her gratitude, with humor? Was she being unironic? Either way, it was a delight.

And then Aedes brought up the whole getting-punched-in-the-face incident. "No," she said, "You'd have to do something really bad for me to do anything like that again." She reached out and patted Aedes on the shoulder in a hopefully-reassuring way. "We're good."

Until now, she hadn't really believed Dalia or Orsick saying Aedes was turning over a new leaf. On an intellectual level, she was open to it, but emotionally? Not really. Not until now. How did Aedes get this cool?
