It was a nice day out, if you didn't really like the sun. It was warmer than the last few days, but cloudy and late enough that some of the nocturnal students had already started milling around outside, hanging out before class started.

It was a perfect time for Andrasta to spread her message to the nocturnal students. So she was out there with some fliers that she made, telling people about how detention was just making everything worse and that they should vote for her as student council president to make things better.

"Hey. Did you know detention makes us act worse?" She asked a vampire-looking teen and handed him a flier. He took it and walked off, skimming it.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Aedes, but she tried to play it off like she didn't. She was honestly a little scared of talking to her right now. They hadn't been on good terms before Aedes went to Juvie Island, and now Dalia and Orsick wanted to help Aedes become better. She didn't want to screw that up.

Aedes knew that Andrasta saw her. It was hardly a good act either. Considering what happened the last time they had a "talk", Aedes wasn't too keen on saying much to her either. Sure Dalia and Orsick have encouraging her to make up with her but...

"Hey, what's on that flyer?" demanded Aedes, standing up as she twirls her umbrella. The vampire that Andrasta handed the flyer too was at first josted by Aedes' sudden question but he nevertheless held it out to her.

Skimming through the detail, the words "ban detention" was enough for Aedes to get interested. After all, she wasted so much time doing nothing for the sake of nothing during detention that it always struck her as counter intuitive. At least on this subject but she and Andrasta where on the mind.

"Mhrmmm... interesting... you can go now." dismissed Aedes, leaving the fellow vampire to his own devices as she power walks her way to Andrasta.

"Hey.... HEY!" called out Aedes as fast approaches Andrasta

Oh, wonderful. Aedes was coming straight for her, not even trying to be subtle. Was she going to try to pick a fight with her?

She took a deep breath and put on a neutral expression. "Hey Aedes. It's... been a while. What's up?"

She was blanking on the things she was going to say to Aedes to be nice. She didn't know if she was ready for this. She had been expecting Aedes to still be afraid of her, and she clearly wasn't, so it wasn't like she imagined at all.

Oh good! She wasn't socked right in the face. As far as Aedes is concerned that is promising progress. Still, she is maintaining a good distance away from Andrasta that is just out of punching range. Just.

"Ah... well... you know. Just settling now that I am out of kiddie prison and all that. But you know what is like right?" said Aedes in an annoying laugh, then clears her throat as she points to the flyers that Andrasta is carrying and moves on with the conversation

"Hrrmm... anyway, just happened to take a look the flyers talking about how you wanted to get of detention because its making us such horrible people and we should get rid of it. And you know what... wholeheartedly agree. The whole detention thing seems like a really dumb way to go about trying to discipline the more... troublesome students. Looks like you need some support on this and well... I want in."

Andrasta just watched Aedes, stone-faced, as the mosquito-girl started talking. She could feel it coming on now, the usual shit Aedes loved to give her, just to make her or her friends feel a little less comfortable, a little less happy. Just like she always did before going to Juvie. She was already groaning internally.

And then Aedes said she agreed.

Andrasta was surprised at first. Then, when Aedes finished, she started beaming. "Alright, you convinced me. Consider yourself in." She held out a hand for Aedes to shake.

"I'm not even sure where to start. What's the first thing you did when you got out of gay baby jail?" That's what they called it, when Andrasta was there. Gay baby jail.

"Really? Just like that?" gawked Aedes, surprised that that was all that it took for. "Well... shit you didn't need much convincing."

Hell she half expected her to tell her to piss off. If it was her in her shoes that is what she would have done. But no instead she just holds out her hand and shake on it. Aedes was hesitant to accept the handshake. Part of her wondered if this was trap to be pulled into a headbutt. But shake the hand she did and felt dirty on the inside for doing so. Ick!

"Gay baby jail huh? Well they are not wrong. As for what I did when they finally let me escape that place? Well fuck... when they let me out the first thing I did was check my phone and just... spent like a whole day deleting the nasty things people were saying to me on my social media pages. Give up as it felt pointless..." stated Aedes.

Aedes shrugged and lets go of the hand, wiping it against her skirt to try wipe away the germs. She tries not let the fact that she was both a laughing stock and a punching bag on the internet bother her.

"Then I was thrown back to school and everyone just kind of... avoided me... except for your friends Dalia and Orsick who just... I dunno its all been weird and I am trying to be less shitty of person. And... ughh... is so hard when you look around and see nothing but idiots."

It wasn't really just like that. Dalia and Orsick had a lot to do with it. Andrasta would be a lot less trusting, and a lot less willing to put up with Aedes' presence if it weren't for them.

She let the conversation move on. Aedes talked about what it was like coming out of gay baby jail, and Andrasta related to a lot of that. Just like her ghost friend said she would when they talked about this. The words that ghost used meant something like 'shared trauma.'

"Yeah. It was kinda like that for me too, but without the whole internet part. Everyone either thought I was scary or stupid, but they didn't get it." She wouldn't go as far as calling them all idiots, but she sure did resent it.

She noticed Aedes wiping her hand on her own clothes after their handshake. "...I don't have Coronavirus or nothing."

"Yeah but who knows what else your grimy hands got on them. Have you considered a manicure?" commented Aedes, not considering how rude that may have sounded.

As nice as pedicure might have been, doubted that Andrasta would make good for company while getting some nail-work done. In fact she more or less agreed to help Andrasta with their little campaign so she should try to see where it is that she can help out.

"But anyway.... as to where to start well... who else do you have passing out these flyers out for you anyway? Is it just you? Cause I know a few places you can put these flyers out. Though I personally say the smart would are that its probably just be better to post these online for everyone to see really. That way you can say that you are saving trees or something."

That was a little bit rude, but Andrasta wasn't going to fight about it now that Aedes was, apparently, offering to help. Besides, Andrasta lived out in the woods with werewolves and played outside and got her hands dirty. Maybe that was fair. "I've never had a manicure before."

The conversation moved on. Aedes mentioned putting it on the internet.

"Well, I have a couple of friends who are going to help me hand these out after friday and saturday detention, to make sure they see it. And I have a demon friend from juvie who said he's gonna hand them out to some of the nocturnal kids. It'd be really cool if I could put it on the internet too, but... I mean, I don't really know how to do that," she admitted. She hadn't really used the internet until after she got here, so she wasn't the most tech-savvy person on the island.

She knew how to watch stuff get blown up on youtube, though. Those videos were cool.

"Well nothing stopping you aside from a lack of online presence." commented Aedes, as she pulls out her phone. "Here hand me one of those flyers."

Just as Andrasta was pulling out a flyer, Aedes snatches the paper from her hands and holds it out under a streetlight. Aedes then pulls out her phone and snaps a photo to upload onto her account. Aedes then stuffs the flyer under her armpit as they add a caption promoting and praising Andrasta's new proposal.

"Boom, there you go. Look you are already getting comments already. Wanna see?" Aedes holds out her phone for Andrasta. Already the post is getting quite a few likes and the responses overall receptive to the ban on detention. There were a few however popping in questing if banning detention is a good idea while other seem to be attacking Aedes. Aedes is quick to scroll past comments however.

"You're welcome." she added as the post garners more and more interest.
