The benefits of being a ghost, by Natee,
One, being able to move intangibly along any place that does not have any kind of ward on it. This makes it easy enough to just stroll through the library at all hours of the night. That was what the ghost thought of, even if that ghost was a Youkai type ghost, that did not mean much in the long run when you consider that this ghost was finally starting their life.
A second benefit, was being invisible, it meant no one would bug you, or expect you to appear out of nowhere. When mixed together, no one would blame you for going through book shelves when locating potential jewels of knowledge to read while most where asleep or hiding. Ah midnight, during the night of the week when people were reluctant, as school was the next day. That was the perfect time to look for books or other things, as long as a teacher did not notice. Though, there were always the other people around, Librarians, Nocturnal students, people who did not follow the rules, or did not care, or those last minute studiers who were currently cramming for a test.
Ah, yes, that was another benefit, no need to sleep, or eat. A ghost could keep themselves going, as long as they allowed themselves time to be intangible and to recover from the effort of making themselves tangible and visible, as well as able to move. This was likely to be the beginning of something major for Natee, maybe. Or maybe this was just going to be an average Sunday night/Monday morning. Either way. One had to do lots of study if they were to pursuit a career as this ghost was. That was right, anyone looking at this situation probably would not think they were looking at a future Boss monster. Yes, that was what this person wanted to be, if only so that they could prove themselves worthy of something, or something like that. They were a ghost long enough to forget their five years of life, they were not likely to keep track of things like what the ghoul- Goal was. Just wanting to be one was enough to make it so this ghost was having fun. Though they had to often attach their existence to things, or lose out. Luckily they planned it out quite nicely.
Still, a good book to pass the time, or maybe someone to bug. Natee needed to do something, it was at the very least seven hours till the first class of the day. A ghost had to do something for those hours. Bug some other ghost? Where was the fun in that? Talk to a teacher? Most of them did not know how to handle a ghost like Natee, whose very existence might be a quite hard to grasp. Why did a youkai like Natee exist? It was obvious that Natee was not a common ghost, as they did not manage to maintain any connection to their life, just the will to live. They did not haunt anything specific or anyone. They lacked a goal initially. The fact that they willingly enrolled in school even made it rather mysterious as to why the ghost was around. Apparently not a lot of ghosts pursued education after death.
That could be an interesting book to read, the ghost would think about as they reached for a large, leather bound book, not bothering to make themselves visible, as the book would start to move along with their hand. They would not know what to think if someone living came about right then.
