Tia awkwardly waits for someone to show up, confused, no one has greeted him so far, no one told him welcome here's what you need to do, and he wasn't good at doing things on this, so he sits, legs crossed in the waiting room hoping someone may come and help him "Hmm...any minute now"..(Oh! If i'm doing something wrong please tell me! I'm new to this website)

Makara did not, strictly speaking, work in the administration office. He worked within the wing itself, providing counselling and advice to the more life challenged of the school's students. Death was hardly the end at Starlight Academy, but there was still a good amount of stigma associated with the dead. People were creeped out by dead people, especially if they actually looked dead.

Makara was lucky enough to not look too dead. In fact, the 'deadness' in his look (gaunt face, visible cheekbones, sunken eyes) were things he'd had even in life. It was only at night that he looked truly dead, little more than a semi-transparent wraith.

He stepped into the administration office, on arm tucked against his chest with a stack of papers, and glanced around. A slow day. The secretary was out, possibly at lunch, and there was only a very young pink haired child sitting in the office.

Makara gave the boy (or at least he guessed it was a boy) a quick glance, and a thin lipped smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "Are you waiting for the secretary?"

looks up at him and smiles quickly remembering manners "Yes! Yes I am sir!" stands up and walks toward him giddy and slightly nervous, he then bowed quickly "Would you happen to know where I may find them?"

Ahh, a bow. It felt like a long time since anyone had bowed to him, even though he knew that Heng had done so recently. He pressed his palms together in front of his chest, bowing in a traditional sampeah to show respect.

"I do not know at the moment, but I suspect one is out for lunch while the other is assisting a student with something." It was fairly unusual to have only one secretary on duty at a time for exactly this reason. "Perhaps I can assist you with something though?" He couldn't do everything, but he could generally do small things, or at least provide advice.

"Oh! That'd be great!" He looked up at the person feeling hopeful "I was told through a little letter thingy that this was a school, and now I'm here! I was expecting a person in the entrance but no one was there!"

Ahhh, so she'd arrived but not been greeted. He gave a knowing nod, glancing around at the office. "Yes, this is a school. We have a high number of new citizens coming in at all times of the year, so getting greeted at the docks can be a bit finicky." Sometimes people were greeted there, sometimes not. It covered a bit of everything, and the whole thing couldn't be considered consistent.

"Well, welcome. When the secretary comes back from lunch, I'm sure they'll get you registered for classes and everything." He gave another small smile. "If you have any questions, I'm sure I can answer most of them."

"Thank you sir!" he taped his chin and thought for a moment "Oh! I have an idea! Where do I sleep sir?! I don't have a house or anything like that, and my mommy and daddy didn't come with me!"

Ahhh, he was so young. It felt a bit painful for Makara, seeing someone at that age with all the wide eyed innocence he'd never had. As petty as it was, he even felt a bit jealous about the whole thing.

"You'll be assigned a dorm room in the... elementary dorm, I would guess. I assume you're in elementary school?" They seemed a bit young compared to the highschool students he was familiar with. Closer to Nia's age, if he had to guess. "You're young enough you'll be assigned a dorm parent, who will function like your parents and take care of the usual things. We have a cafeteria as well, where you'll get your meals." He was a dorm parent himself, but it wasn't a sure thing that the boy would get assigned to him. There were a lot of factors that went into it.

"Okee dokee! Thank you so much sir!" he felt lucky to have someone helping him and he didn't want to mess anything up here "Is there anything I can do now or later to repay you?"

Makara shook his head. He was a teacher, and he was really only doing his job.

"That's really not necessary. As a teacher, it's my duty to answer student questions - especially new students." How rude would he be to not be willing to help someone who had just arrived? "Perhaps I can find you a student tour guide to show you around the school. Generally there a few on hand at any given time for cases such as yours."
