You would think he would have learned from last year.

You would think so, but you'd be wrong.

Wei HuSun was trying to hang a banner in the Ballroom despite the disaster that occurred when he tried to hang a banner in the cafeteria last time the elections came around.

The monkey's back still ached thinking about it.

The ladder wobbled.

"No--"

The ladder shook.

"No, no, stop--"

The ladder tilted.

"Shit, no no no no--"

The ladder fell.

"SHIT FUCK GOD DAMN--"

Tay didn't even know why she was in the ballroom. Sure she could say that she was "exploring" but that would be a lie. Tay sighed. Was she lost? Yes. Trauma (Tay's sentient handgun) was in his holster.

"You lost Tay?" Trauma asked.

"Shut it Trauma. I don't need sass from a handgun today..." Tay whispered to Trauma as she heard someone yelling a some nice curse words. Tay's head whipped over to the scene. "Damn It..." Tay whispered and bolted over to the monkey kid that was about to fall off a ladder. She steadied the ladder and sighed again. "Be careful." Tay scolded.

"Be nice Tay." Trauma said causing Tay to sigh once more.

This was it. This was going to be how he died. Someone send his Mama in China a nice letter about how her son died not learning from his own prior mistakes.

Then the ladder suddenly stablized and he had to catch himself on the lip of the top platform.

He looked down to see what had happened.

"Oh!" he said. "Thank you so much! I thought I was a goner for sure!"

"Still could be at this rate..." Tay said to herself. She sighed. "I'm not one to usually offer help but..." Tay said to the monkey kid and hoped he understood what she was implying. "Names Tay Archer by the way." She said. Not a lot of people knew her still.

Wei blanched. He didn't like this part of campaigning. Next time he would swear to himself that he definitely wasn't going to do this again. He was not going to hang a banner and almost die by falling off of it. It just wasn't worth it.

"Hi Tay," Wei said, finishing the banner and climbing down off the ladder. It was much easier now that he had someone to stabilize it for him. "My name is Wei."
