"Adelene! Adelene, are you home?"

Allan stood there, knocking on Adelene's door, a little light headed and out of breath, but he tried to keep his knocks leveled, so as not to give away his current state. On one hand was his phone with Adelen's name displayed on the screen. She hasn't been replying to any of his messages or answering any of his calls at all. He was in a near state of panic.

He tried to shrug it off but he knew very well there was only ever one time his premonitions failed him. Only once and everything else had been spot on--he'd seen them happen just as they did in their dreams.

It had been two nights he was rudely woken up with the same dream. Or should he say, nightmare. It wasn't exactly similar but the endings were the same; all the more reason for him to become panicked.

He'd see Adelene walking before coming to a stop. After then he'd see her holding a gun to her head, her eyes locked with his. There weren't any words. She pulls the trigger.

Allan kept for her, knocking on the door and hoping she would answer, "Adelene, if you're here please just open the door..."

The space loosely holding the lock in place soon gave in to Allan's knocking. With a quiet click, the door creaked open, inviting him to enter in Adelene's stead. Adelene wasn't anywhere near the door, see. Once Allan enters, he'd see that her studio-type apartment was neat as usual, or more like it's been untouched for a few days, and the only mess was on the floor near the bed. Bottles of whiskey and beer littered the floor, and at the center of the mess was Adelene herself, pale, unconscious, and reeking of alcohol.

Her hair, though naturally smooth, were unkempt and looked like they haven't been cared for. They've grown a couple of centimeters longer, too, since she hasn't trimmed them recently. Her eyes were closed above their bags darker than ever, she was on her side and her body was curled up like she was trying to hide. But she was asleep, it seemed. Wearing her pink pj set that was also ruined by alcohol already.

Allan realized the door wasn't locked, nor was it ever even properly closed as the door creaked open. A huge part of him hoped that it was Adelene but he was greeted by no one. The door opened to her empty apartment--or so it seemed to him. His breath caught in his throat, eyes wide with distress. "Adelene..?" he called out quietly. No answer.

He tried to even out his breath, trying to fight visions of his dreams that was haunting him in the waking world. Allan stepped into the apartment, part of him opposed to it but the unlocked door was a big concern. "Adelene?" he called again as he closed the door behind him but just as he said that, his eyes fell on the figure that was curled up in her bed.

The color just seemed to drain away from his face; seeing Adelene was one thing but the state she was in wasn't exactly a good thing to see, what, with all the bottles of alcohol around her. Allan didn't even have time to speak and quickly rushed to her side. He could clearly see she looked terrible, her hair was a mess and...well, she was a mess. His mind was little bit frazzled by panic and for a moment, he couldn't figure out what to do.

With a few even gasps for air, the first thing Allan thought was checking if she were even alive. There weren't signs of blood, and she was still breathing which, for one thing relieved him, but here came the second part. She reeked of alcohol. For how long she'd been drinking, Allan had no idea and that was in itself a cause for alarm. There was too many bottles of beer and whiskey to count in one quick glance.

Allan stumbled to find the blanket that had been messily scrunched up on the edge of her bed and pulled it over her. "Adelene. Adelene, please wake up," he called, lightly shaking her awake. Allan tried to keep his voice leveled but to no avail. Anyone who could think properly could hear the his voice breaking while he was trying to monitor her breathing.

Adelene was stuck in the dark. And within the dark, there was no way she could rely on her sight to escape. Not that it mattered. She was stuck, she was being pushed around, shaken, and pulled in by the huge body of water around her. She could hear the piercing rain and the thunder claps, and the giant waves approaching her. And then she'd hear a horse's wail, and suddenly, she couldn't breathe anymore.

Addy was stuck in the same dream for the last few days now. She was trying to knock herself and even her subconscious entirely out in attempt to escape from that nightmare, but it kept on repeating. When Allan shook her, Addy only felt like the waves have gotten stronger, beginning to crash her against hard rocks.

Outside the dream, she was beginning to gasp for air as if she were truly drowning. And then she flinched awake, quickly sitting up and grabbing at Allan's shirt. She was shaking. Her eyes were wide from the recurring traumatic experience, and although she looked at her friend with them, she couldn't see him clearly.

"Make... Make it s-stop... Please..." she quietly asked. Her voice was exhausted and husky, as if she's been screaming for a while. "It's so painful..."
