Cynthia sat on her couch in her dimly lit apartment, she was watching the new episode of Powerful Rangers, her favorite show. The living room of her apartment was only lit up by her large television, and all the other lights had been shut off. This new episode was pretty good so far but she felt like it was missing some drama, maybe it would come at the end of the episode, she loved cliffhangers.

She shifted in her seat to drink more of her water, and eat another carrot. She was covered in heavy blankets, not because it was cold or anything they where just really comfy. Everything was right and perfect in the world.

Nothing was right in the world.

It was a horrible, evil place without justice. The strong died and the weak lived and there was no sense of order, only chaos and despair.

This was what was on Yoka Sake's mind when she knocked on Cherry's door.

The Fox was dressed in casual, but fashionable, clothing: a dark pair of slacks, a high-necked shirt that exposed a sliver of skin at her hips and left her arms free to rest behind her elaborately patterned shall. Her lipstick was, as normal, on point, and matched her red heels.

"Cherry," Yoka knocked. "Cherry. It's Yoka. your boss."

She said the your boss part not because Yoka worried that cherry had another Yoka in her life, but because Yoka really wanted her to answer the door.

Oh god someone was knocking on her door, maybe if she ignored it theyd go away. NOPE, it was her boss who was calling her by her work name outside of work, which was a little weird. She got up and walked over to the door, leaving her big pile of blankets on her couch.

Cynthia opend her door and there she was, it was her boss Yoka Sake. "Uh... hi. Why are you... why are you here." she was extremely confused by this surprise visit, she didnt usually have visitors.

There she was!

Yoka beamed for a moment when Cherry opened the door, and then Yoka placed the palm of her own hand to her forehead and sighed to demonstrate how very close she was to swooning.

"Because I realized something today," Yoka said. "Do you know what day it is, Cherry?"

It was Friday, one of the busiest nights at the club, but since Cherry had been with Yoka the longest it made sense that one of her hardest workers would have a night off. Yoka, too, had the night off.

But what was Cherry doing. Did she know what sort of felony she was creating right now?

Of course she knew what day it was, it was Thursday. She wanted to be positive it was Thursday, she had been wrong about the date before, she pulled out her phone and turned it on, slyly looking down for a second to see that it was infact friday.

"Its uhm... its friday... yeah friday." she shock her head to wake herself up a little, she had woken up from a nap and then started watching the new Powerful Rangers episode. "Why is something up?"

"Is something up of COURSE something is up, it's Friday!" Yoka said, waving her hand in a wide arch that made her shawl flap around her shoulders as though it was trying to escape.

"It's Friday, and do you know where you are?" Yoka asked her. She placed her hand to her own heart and sighed. " When I came to your door, I prayed it could not be so, but alas, when you answered I knew that my worst fears were confirmed. You are Home. On. A. Friday."

Yoka punctuated each word with a dramatic gesture as though she was being shot over and over again.

"On a FRIDAY, Cherry!"

She didnt say anything as Yoka made her over dramatic gestures, it was defiantly friday but she didnt understand, why was it so bad for her to be at home on friday? She was at home most of the time.

"I... Yeah im at home on friday... im really confused." she looked down and scratched her head trying to understand what was wrong.

"Why is this a bad thing? And why do you keep calling me my work name..."

Why was Yoka calling her by her work name?

She knew her name was Cynthia. It's not like she'd forgotten. Yoka actually did not have a good reason for this, but she couldn't let Cynthia know this.

She waved her hand and didn't answer, instead deciding that she needed to explain to Cynthia how dire it was that she was home on a friday and not out living.

"Cherry, how old are you?" she asked. "and how long do you plan on living?"

It would be a strange question to ask anywhere other than the manta carlos islands.

"Well im 27 years old..." she thought to herself for a moment, how long would she be alive? Her mother had always told her she would live forever but you never know whos lying and whos telling you the truth. "And im about 70% sure im going to live forever."

What was this all about? Why did Yoka need to know all of this?

"Forever is a long time," Yoka said, although this did not change her answer too much. "But you must remember, plans change. And even if you do live forever, do you have any idea how quickly time flies? Days turn into hours and years into weeks, and whole centuries go by without barely a notice."

Yoka sighed, but she grew serious.

"Come out with me tonight, Cherry," she said. "Live a little with me. Let's see what there is to see in this night, in this generation. let's live in the moment a little bit. What on television could possibly be more exciting? "

And then, because she didn't have anyone else to observe, Yoka stuck out her bottom lip and gave Cherry the biggest set of puppy eyes Yoka had ever used.
