Alessa had been standing infront of a door for a few minutes now. She had arranged a counseling meeting with another student on the island, she hadnt really talked to anyone about what had happend with her parents, and she was supposed to do that right? After things like that happend thats what you had to do.

She had reached out to knock on the door a couple times, but still hadnt done it. Part of her didnt want to talk about it, she didnt want to open up about what had happened with anyone, but thats how youre supposed to move on from this kind of thing right?

Alessa knocked on the door.

Emily was nervous. Sure, she wanted to use her abilities to help people, and she had practiced a little bit towards that end, but she hadn't truly expected someone to come to her so early. The timid psychic fidgeted in front of the door, waiting impatiently. She'd been doing this all day, staring at the portal into her dorm before busing herself with some kind of preparation, only to find herself standing there once more.

She was once again casting her thoughts towards the state of her room. Perhaps a little bit more dusting couldn't hurt. When the knock on the door came, she opened it a little too soon and found herself staring awkwardly at Alessa. "... Um..." Emily dropped her gaze and let it wander along the floor for a moment, blushing slightly, before bringing her eyes back up to Alessa's. "...M-Miss... Rei?.. P-Please, come i-in... I-I'm ready to s-see you..."

The last bit was just as much to reassure herself as Alessa. Stepping off to the side and giving a timid wave, Emily 'beckoned' Alessa into her room. It was set up really nicely, and was made up sort of half way towards a traditional fortune teller's room. The drapes her closed leaving the room dim, but not unreasonably so, and a table was set up with two chairs facing each other. In the middle of the table was a deck of elongated cards. "Y-You said you were i-i-interested in a reading as well, d-didn't you?"

Alessa enterd the strangers house, it was dimly lit which was a little strange but she liked it. She didnt know where to sit so she just sort of stood in the middle of the room. "Uhm... yeah, I was hoping we could do a card reading... if thats ok."

She noticed the chairs and put a hand on one of them, "Is it ok for me to sit down?"

"Alright... W-We'll start with th-that then..." Emily moved over to the chair opposite Alessa and pulled it out. "Y-Yes, of course... P-Please do have a seat." She gestured at the other chair as she herself sat down as well.

Emily just sort sat there for a moment, fidgeting idly, before passing the deck of cards over to Alessa. "P-Please... Cut the deck... Wh-Whichever manner you prefer... and then select th-the top three cards and place them f-face down in the middle o-of the table..."

Alessa pulled the chair out and took a seat, recognizing that the person helping her was just as nervous as she was made her feel a bit better about this whole thing. "Oh... uhm, alright then." she did as instructed and cut the deck, then put the top three cards in the middle of the table.

Emily sat with her hands folded and waited for Alessa to deal her cards. She studied the other girl for a couple moments longer after that, and then reach out to flip the cards over, from Alessa's left to right. "Past... Present... And future..." The cards she turned over were XIII Death, O The Fool, and XII Hanged Man in that order, none of them were reversed.

Emily eyes drifted over the cards, almost trance-like as her mind translated them. "...There was an important event in your past... Someone died... Or the destruction of something, or maybe corruption... Loss of a lover... An event left it's mark on you..." She glanced up at her guest to determine if any of these things hit home. The first card was important, it would act as an anchor for the other two. "...Does that sound right?..."

Someone died... the destruction of something.

Alessa looked back to the house, the fire, her family, she didnt say anything for awhile. "Uhm... that all sounds pretty right yes." she wasnt sure if she was supposed to talk about what happened now or if she needed to wait for later, she was unsure of the procedure.

Emily nodded, casting her gaze back down to the cards, moving on to the next one in line. "...In the present there is folly... You may be stuck in your journey... or perhaps anger... deleriam or mania... Do you drink a lot Miss Rei?" Emily looked up at the seventeen year old, awaiting an answer to the question like it didn't have implications.

She let a finger hover near the last card. "Your future... Looks like you will face trails... but they will bring you to see more clearly..." Emily withdrew her hands and folded them in her lap again. bringing her gaze back up to Alessa's. "That's all the cards say, for now."

Alessa shook her head "Oh no of course not, id never drink alcohol.", Alessa certainly wouldn't do anything like that, maybe the card was referring to her anger, whenever she thought of the people that burned her home down she certainly felt angry.

She took a deep breath now that the Tarot Cards were done. "O-o-ok... so now what do we do."

Emily pondered a little bit, "It's probably not intoxication then... but I suppose we'll sort that out soon." Emily stood from her seat, picking up the three cards and placing them back on top of the deck. "I think now we have some tea, does that sound alright?" Emily was speaking slower now, giving her tongue time to sort out the words rather then stumble over them. It seemed like the tarot reading had calmed her down, brought her to a more comfortable place.

She continued to observe her guest, taking little mental notes on her state of comfort and such. Moving into the kitchen, she clicked the button on an electric kettle to heat some water. "I have some other drinks if you like, or maybe some snacks?"
