Personality Description:
Hubert is usually strict and snobbish. Despite his adorable appearance, his aura is that of a very mature person. People need to fear him, as he's earned his job being the Midnight Circus' main security personnel through merit. Rules are important to him, and he always makes sure they're followed.
But Hue is not all iron fist. At times, he can also act like the child his outer appearance is, and he can definitely pull off being adorable. He has a soft spot for the people in the circus, and the circus is just as important to him as it is for the Ringmaster, and he's been with it even longer. He considers the Ringmaster a child he needs to look after, while having huge respect for him and his leadership at the same time.
He is everyone's "Grandpa", and he does his best to love them as his children, similar to how the current Ringmaster, and the Ringmasters before him, treat the people of the circus. He's gotten used to outliving people and seeing them die, but he always gets hurt for it. During these moments, he'd try to hide somewhere and cry for them.

Hubert's parents tried to cast a spell so he'd survive the upcoming war when he was ten. Unfortunately, he only stopped aging and became immune to illnesses, but not to injuries.
Super Strength.
Hubert is a very small boy, at least on the outside. But he can carry anything that isn't heavier than a ton. With this strength, he can also use his bare hands and feet to attack people and create a much greater damage. He has small hands so he can't grip big things with only one, but if he uses both hands to squish a head, he'll definitely succeed without even breaking a sweat. He can also throw things with stronger force, to a much longer distance. Of course, he can control this strength easily, so nobody has to worry about him accidentally breaking bones during hugs or handshakes. This ability was also brought by the same spell.

Hubert was born to a middle lower class family in France, and unfortunately, that wasn't a good social status especially during that era. Life was hard when he was growing up, as everything was in chaos.
The rebellions against the government became worse and worse. When Hubert was nine, news about a large-scale revolution spread throughout the masses, and so Hubert's parents, regretful that they weren't able to give their son a good life and afraid that he'll die like this, tried to look for any kind of witchcraft that can help them. On Hubert's tenth birthday, they casted the spell as a present. On his birthday, they died in payment of the immortality that their son received. On his birthday, war broke out.
Hubert didn't immediately realize that he just stopped aging, but the inhumane strength he received was an instant shock. He couldn't control it at first, and everything he touched broke. Walls he'd leaned on crumbled down. People he tried to ask help from lost their hands when he held onto them. Scared and confused, Hubert hid himself inside a church, hoping he was safe there from the war, and at the same time hoping people would be safe from him if he was out of sight.
But the priest eventually found him. He had hidden in the food cellar, and it wasn't possible for him not to leave damage on the cellar door when he entered. The priest was kind and forgiving, so he took him into the orphanage instead. Thus, his surname "Donnadieu".
Things eventually became stable for France, but not for Hubert. Years passed, children came and went from the orphanage, but Hue didn't age. The priest, knowing what's happened to him because of his parents, tried to conceal him. But the other people in the church began to feel afraid, and started calling him a demon. Hue himself was afraid, but he knew something like this would eventually happen. So he ran away.
He's heard of the Midnight Circus around that time. With nowhere to go, he seeked for the current Ringmaster and asked for a job. He was already used to his strength that time, and the whole thing became an advantage. Since then, Hubert has worked for the circus as security. The Ringmasters lived long, but he still outlives them. He'd know the next generations as children, and see them grow up, pass away, and he'd still stay.
The circus became his family, the Ringmasters became the most important people to him. He'd stay with them wherever they went, so when Antoine Francois, the third Ringmaster he's worked for, decided to visit Manta Carlos, of course he went here with them.
