The dusk offered just enough light for people to see enough on their paths as they walked through the campus. It was already quite late, at least for someone who just spent some hours reading in the library. Adelene was heading home, she was on her way to the gate and after that to her apartment, carrying nothing but herself and her clothes, and her money and phone in her jeans' pockets. She didn't mean to stay out this late, it just happened. Thankfully it was still in the middle of summer, or her tank top and her cardigan won't serve her enough warmth for the night.

Raven had created a routine in where she would stretch her wings from hiding them all day, the best part was the flying bit. She would fly straight up and then boost her speed to glide, watch over the city, though not in any way like a vigilante as she just enjoyed watching the city besides it was a good exercise to know the ins and outs of the place she now lived in.

On her way back to a spot hidden from plain view she saw, what's-her-name, Adel something. Now she could simply return to her spot to pick up her clothes and leave, though she did still wear shorts and a black tank top with special made holes to let out her wings. Like this, she would show everything about her that made her different from humans, her knee long talons and claws, her pitch black eyes and obviously her wings.

Instead, seeing as the other female hadn't squealed about her she would fly over her and land a few steps away. How had Raven known that Adelene hadn't told anyone, it was simple really, nobody had came after her since their last encounter. She knew that she had to say she was sorry for threatening her though given her entrance she saw it as if Adelene had the ball.

There was a weird shadow that went past Adelene from above, and even though it was almost nighttime and the sun wasn't hitting her directly anymore, it was too huge for her to ignore. She paused, glancing upward and following the figure until it landed in front of her.

She smiled. Raven has been filling her thoughts recently, and she reminisced their last encounter with fascination and curiosity. Seeing her today felt much more pleasing than that last time. She grinned, taking a few steps forward, stopping just a couple of feet away from Raven who now looked so much better than when cloth restricted her wings.

"Hi," she greeted. Raven wouldn't miss how Adelene was checking out her wings, and to Adelene, it didn't really matter getting caught on that. "Your wings, they're... they're just so beautiful... you know? A shame that you have to hide them."

"Hello Adel..." Her words quickly fell silent as a sign that she couldn't quite remember the others name.

She nodded as she agreed that it was a shame that she had to hide her physical features though she couldn't very well announce to the world that she was attending Manta Carlos own Starlight Academy, nor could she come out clean to the other person. What would she think if she knew Raven was a former crime lord, more importantly who would she tell, though Raven gave her some credits for not having squealed since their last encounter.

After a brief moment of silence she decided to break it, the silence. "I prefer it this way as well", though she was more curious about how Adelene had reacted in their last meeting "What would you do or say if I said I was special forces undercover?" the way she said it was brilliant, by saying it in such a childish question form it would, or should, sound as something made up but although it was not a lie it wasn't the truth. While she where on the run from the authority she hadn't received any formal dismissal from her squad, due to her assumed death, so she where still technically special forces and though she where undercover the truth was that she where undercover as a crime lord.

"It's 'Adelene'." Adelene took the hint that Raven couldn't remember her name, though she took no offense and shrugged it off quite indifferently.

But she had a different reaction for the idea of undercover identity. Her face visibly twisted to a curious expression, which was slightly tinged with anxiety. "If that's true... I'd rather you not include me in your affairs."

IF it were true, that is. Adelene's met enough people in that line of work for her to want never to meet them again. They all only reminded her of her chase with Seth before, reminded her of those many years when she had to keep hiding and running away from greedy people. It wasn't a good memory.

She forced a smile. "But I see that whatever your real identity is, you are trying to hide it, aren't you? So I don't have to worry about getting involved."

Shit, she swallowed the story. Well, there where only three things she could do in this situation. Kill Adelene, continue pretending to be herself when she was with the forces or lie, telling Adelene that she was just messing with her.

"That's ok, my business is my business" In truth, she would get nervous if Adelene had shown more interest or simply reacted differently, as it stood Adelene seemed to react as one should expect from someone less involved.

She chose the second option, this way she could get close to someone who know who she is, sort of, well a part of her that where somewhat true. Should all else fail she could silence her though Raven much rather preferred to befriend her or anyone really, though this option could be a double edged sword against her dream of a normal life.

To steer the conversation from one thing to another she tilted her head and gave a mischevious smile "Do you want to fly?"

"Fly?" That got her. Adelene laughed. She can see Raven's wings clearly, and she admired them and acknowledged they were huge and strong. But she doubted she can have her own means to fly, and it didn't seem like those wings can carry two people.

She shook her head, though her smile was amused with the idea.

"I'd love to, really, but I'm not sure if I should take that seriously?" she asked, chuckling again a little. "I mean... Just how? You're..." she pointed her right index finger upward, towards the afternoon sky that was drenched with purple and pink and orange, "...not taking me up there with you, are you?"

The mere thought was crazy. Adelene honestly had no idea how they can pull that off!
