Grant had caught wind of a special exhibit that was being shown off at the Manta Carlos museum. It was a nautical exhibit, with a huge variety of treasures and artifacts pulled from shipwrecks around the area. Grant was curious, seeing as he had personally sunk some of those ships. Maybe he'd recognize something.
He laughed to himself, adjusting the strap for his Blunderbuss. A few people on the bus scooted further away from him, and that was fine with him. He stood up when the bus came to a stop, strolling outside. He paused for a second, holding his arm up. Rose flew down from above the bus, circling Grant a few times before landing on the offered arm. He shifted the parrot onto his shoulder, giving her a small cracker from a pocket.
The Captain strolled into the museum, walking past the slightly stunned greeter. Maybe she thought he was some sort of actor, hired for the part. Grant walked around, taking in some of the exhibits. It was pretty interesting. He did see some inaccuracies, mostly small things though. He almost fell over when he noticed one case.
Unstrapping his blunderbuss, he sat it down to stabilize himself.
Inside the case, was a small leather book. It was waterlogged, the pages obviously badly damaged. The only thing that was readable on the cover was the word 'Besmara'. Grant's visible eye widened as he stared. He never thought he'd see another copy of the book. He didn't even notice the other person step closer to him.
