Appearance Description:
Yikmo is very short, standing at only 3'2". He has shaggy white hair and likely needs a haircut. His eyes are a forest green, and his skin is rather pale, despite being in the sun a majority of the time. He wears a thin black t-shirt, along with a large military field jacket.
The Jacket is Yikmo's prized possession, and he only takes it off to bathe, and to clean the jacket. He does sometimes take it off to sleep, but not usually. The Jacket is obviously military, being very thick and heavy, but no country of origin is anywhere on the jacket. There are places in which patches obviously once were, but were taken off. The only marking on the jacket is the word 'YIKMO' over the heart (Not pictured in the above photo), which is where the boy gets his name. The Jacket itself is far bigger than Yikmo, the sleeves extending past his fingertips, even when fully extended.
Yikmo is very small and frail, weighing only about 45 pounds without his jacket. If you include the jackets weight in his, he weighs about 60 pounds.
Personality Description: Yikmo is very quiet. That should be obvious, given he is mute. He understands English fine, but does not understand sign language. He can not write, but has some reading ability. He enjoys being with nature, and likes to sit outside under trees or near flowerbeds.
Yikmo is a bright ray of sunshine, and loves meeting new people. He tries to be friends with everyone, and will always offer flowers or small fruits and berries of friendship. He is almost always smiling, sans when he sees fire. He is absolutely terrified of fire, and will do all he can to stay away from it.

Yikmo can manipulate plant-life. He can make things grow faster, and larger, than they would normally. As of his current age, he doesn't have much control over his power. Plants do seem to perk up around him when he's happy, wilting when he's sad.
He does have some knowledge of his ability, seeing as he enjoys gardening. He uses his power to keep flowers growing, and flowers seem to sprout in areas he frequents, even those that don't normally grow in those areas.

YIKMO'S HISTORY
Yikmo's true history however, is much different. He was born to a wealthy family whose moral compass was nonexistent. They frequently practiced fraud and conned hundreds of people, but Yikmo never took to their darker tendencies. He much preferred to garden, and play in the forest. He always liked talking to trees. His family never wanted to listen, but the trees always did. He told them all about how he wasn't happy, about how scared he got around his parents, and all about the plants he'd found. There was one tree in the forest he particularly liked talking too, it had the softest bark. Yikmo thought that sitting in it always felt like a warm hug.
Little did Yikmo know that the tree itself was a Nature Nymph, who was incredibly fond of the small boy. She always loved to listen to him, and her soul ached every time he mentioned his fear, his pain. She so desperately wanted to hold him in her arms and console him, tell him that she would always watch over him. She was likely the only being who cared about this small little boy.
His parents on the other hand, quickly found that they were losing money fast on their son, since he didn't contribute and simply cost them money. So they formulated a scheme. They took out a huge life insurance policy on their son, and then took him on a camping trip, along with a shotgun. They took Yikmo out into the forest, and fired two shots. One into his back, the other into his throat. Then they left, claiming that he ran off and got lost.
The Nymph had followed Yikmo however, sending her spirit through the earth, having a suspicious feeling about this spontaneous 'Camping trip'. She wept as she witnessed the shooting, and cradled Yikmo's spirit as the young boy passed. It was bittersweet. The first time she was able to hold the small child was as he was dying.
Then she got an idea. The nymph used all her powers to infuse Yikmo's spirit with her own. She cast a powerful spell using all her life force to form a new body for Yikmo.
This brought their spirits to Manta Carlos, the forbidden forest being one of the strongest connection to nature. Yikmo's body was birthed from a tree, the Nymphs body morphing into something that Yikmo could keep on him always, a heavy jacket.
Yikmo became a being of nature, a mix between human and plant. His jacket is a direct link to his life force, if it is destroyed, he will die. Yikmo can also live like a plant, subsisting on nothing but sunlight. He gets sick easier as it gets cold, and is generally more cheerful around areas with lots of plant-life.
