@"Fae"
Sai was happy to have his new daughter home, but he was concerned about her. She was having trouble adjusting to her new place. He had a feeling it was just what came with a new environment; he understood that awkward feeling entirely. He had to move from swimming around an ocean town to walking on two feet in a city. It was beyond jarring. So he decided to give it time and just let her feel easy at home. He figured spending as much time as possible with her would also help too.
Normally he would be waking up in the morning and make breakfast, but he didn't wake up at the crack of dawn on weekends. He also figured that she would want to sleep in a bit later; kids slept in on weekends, right? So the siren was comfortably snoozing away on his water bed as the Sun barely peaked its head out. He was a balanced sleeper; he wasn't a light sleeper, so it's not like a coin dropping would wake him up. He also wasn't a heavy sleeper that could sleep through the sound of pots and pans being tossed all around.
His eyes groggily opened as he heard noises coming from the kitchen. His black hair was a complete mess. He was in nothing but his boxers and a sleeveless top. He stumbled out of bed to check out the source of the noise. The father moved like a freshly-revived zombie as he went to the kitchen. He scratched his head tiredly and yawned while standing in the doorway. When he stopped yawning, his eyes opened once more for a shock.
The kitchen was an absolute mess! What happened here?! This woke him up a bit more as he tried to figure out what happened. Did someone try to rob him? Were there signs of breaking and entering anywhere around the house? Then a reminder popped into his head: he had a cute four-year-old now! He rushed over to her bedroom to see if she was still asleep. He swung open the door. He expected to see Faeyt cuddled up in her covers still, but he spotted absolutely no one in the room.
This was the perfect time to panic!
Papa Bear instincts woke Sai up entirely as he went tearing through the whole house looking for Faeyt. He checked every room; he went through her room, his bedroom, the bathroom, and even the living room. His last spot was the kitchen. He searched for her in the kitchen but failed to check the cabinet she was currently sleeping in. He was throwing open doors and moving objects around. Failing to find her, he then slipped into a seated position on the ground as he held his head in his hands. How could he have lost her?! Who kidnapped her?! What was he going to do? He was on the verge of tears.
