Banished from her homeland of Fey following a fit of anger and pride, Zarachiel has spent her decades searching for her disappeared master, furiously clinging to the hope that he is alive. Manta Carlos seemed the most reasonable place to settle in the mortal realm as it provided an information vantage point she could find nowhere else. These islands live and breathe bizarre magical happenings; if there were ever a place to find word of a man that didn’t want finding, this would be the place. If you know her, you are likely most familiar with her human form, silver hair and golden eyes, but it is also entirely possible that you’ve seen her roaming the island’s boundaries as a large spectral hound with a braided tail.

Calm, quiet, and so close to the point her tongue could cut you like a serrated knife, Zarachiel tends to stand alone and far from people, not least of all because they give her nauseating migraines. She’s allergic to iron and bullshit but loves a good conversation—the problem being that she can’t find any worth having. Know that you are prey until proven otherwise, and know that if you challenge her to a fight she will win. She is an alpha, this is her nature, nevermind her job. Speaking of job, she’s going to be working for Duke Makes-everyone-miserable, isn’t that fun?

With the capability to rip souls and travel dimensions, she knows she’s probably wasting her time here, but she’ll suffer almost any indignity to find her master again.

I really want to throw Lochlann the water horse at her because he's the easiest for me to play because he would most definitely try to hit on Zarachiel and it will most definitely end poorly.

I am wondering, though, if they'd get along as potential friends since they share something of a common thread between them--They're both monsters in a world not really meant for monsters. She'd also be the only other creature that I can think of on the island that shares a similar ethno/geographic relation in the Welsh/Irish/Fae background. She'd be able to smell what is he pretty quickly, I think, and Lochlann is a very different when he's not pretending to be human. However, the fact that she's working for Mihk might complicate potential things since Lochlann is on Mihk's shit list xD

so zarachiel is going to drown lochlann a couple dozen times. okay? okay. she'll smell his kelpieness and know it won't kill him, but that will always be her response to his flirting. if he doesn't mind the death threats, she may tolerate him because he's a fae from her side of the woods. she gets a bit more obtuse and less brusque around most fae out of habit, even if she hates their politics, so she might even have less-than-completely-impolite conversations with him ! unless mikh gives her a reason to hunt lochlann, in which case...swim, horsey, swim.
