Octain sat in the desk in the front of the class. Looking around the room he had just finished his lesson for the day and was going to let them go do a small fetch quest to finish for the day. Just to show them how some magic worked. So he took an extra mask and opened the window. Chanting for a moment he used his Lighting spell to shoot it into the Forbidden forest. "Now, I have placed traps with in the forest, you are to go and find the Mask I had shot in. You have till this time tomorrow to find it. This is part of your exam." He said, the class then ran out of the room as he opened the door to his office and sat in his desk. Taking a bottle of cleaner and cleaning his mask he had on. Using a cloth to clean it. He liked using lake water, but the specialty cleaner worked just as well.

He looked at his sheet. Since he had a lot of work on his shoulders with being a leader in magic theory, counselor as well as a full time father. It was a godsend that someone had taken up looking after Lexi as a babysitter. He sat back in his desk as he closed his eyes. He slept terribly last night as he could still see the beautiful Elf in his mind. Was the Arcane giving him a sign? Was that his destiny? No. His rank wasn't for such things. He would normally be married off, but currently.. He's the only one. He had destroyed all bridges to a life of matrimony. Either way. He didn't want the help of the Arcane. He was going to get through this on his own.

Though he was submitted to the will of magic, he found a loophole that someone who is made of magic could serve as a conduit. He rubbed his eyes for a moment. Why was she still on his mind? What was it about her? He features were.. Amazing. She was beautiful in every way. Though he shook his head to return to the task at hand and began to mark people out of tens. Out of Ten papers. He read about two of them before putting them down again.

He looked at the schedule for a bit as the bell rang for the end of the day. He had some time off, though he needed to go back to marking tests from earlier. So he gathered the papers and just read them while giving a heavy sigh. He then heard someone knock on the door open to the classroom. He raised a eyebrow and didn't think much of it as he thought a student would have returned to get some of their school things that they forgot. They had a full 24 hours to finish the task at hand. The traps were... Interesting to say the least. "Good grief. I wonder when the school will give me a few days off this month." He said. Looking at his schedule again. He had time to kill, but he was spending it the way he didn't want to. Cooked up in an office for hours on end.

Then again...

It kept him busy from being in trouble with some of the other teachers that didn't take to kindly to his antics of just a practical joke here and there. Though that wasn't what he was here for. He itched to get back outside. Though. He didn't really want to. He had someone to find. In an island where people are numerous. He turned his chair towards the wall. Tossing his cloak onto the desk.

It had been a handful of days since the elf had last caught trace of the naked man in the woods. Or, so he was when she first met him. Their brief yet meaningful conversation allowed her to feel a bit more at ease at the prospect of getting used to this place. At least she had a friend now. Wherever he was…

It made her a bit troubled that she hadn’t quite seen him again since then. There was only one Magistar in the world, and he was it. If she didn’t find him again, there was no way she could ask about his story. Or ask about his magic. Or why he acted so funny around her last time...Regardless she may as well put it behind her. She had a mission after all, and she needed not to get sidetracked.

Although, getting sidetracked was the key to her very success.

To find her answer, she needed to secure a better living situation and place to set up for research. To do that she needed more money. To do that, she needed a job. A job for her didn’t constitute a two-bit waitressing or fast food gig. That simply just wouldn’t do for her, plus having to be around processed food made her ill. She couldn’t stand to be restricted to a building all day, doing nothing but the same enriching task each and every day. She needed variety. And a better chance at learning the culture here, outside ungrateful customers.

The school was her only choice.

She wasn’t quite qualified to be a teacher, but she would fit nicely as a substitute. Genesis was interviewed earlier that morning and accepted into a starter-up job. To be a secretary. Her qualification exam demonstrated that she was much more suited than for a simple front desk job. Some of the teachers needed personal assistants. To which she delightfully agreed to. She wanted to be at the forefront of education, and at least watch as classes occurred. And there at least were windows for her to open, which was good. She was given a sheet of paper and a point down the hallway so she could explore for herself. Her blue eyes wide in awe as she took it all in.

Students were vacating the building as class ended. Some stared at the pink haired lady that had markings etched into her skin with an odd outfit and boughs of cherry blossoms lining her hair. But she looked nice. Just different. For her first impression, as she had been led to believe. Her boots were a little scuffed, but she looked presentable for someone who lived in the woods. She stopped in front of the labeled door. This was it. The hall was huge she knew so there would be no sense in knocking. So she quietly entered. Into a classroom designed for the theory of magic.

A chair was turned against her, and she didn’t want to provoke the figure from in front as she approached the behind. The paper was clenched determined in her hands. She stopped behind whomever was in that chair. To fold her hands in front of her and deliver a bow.

”Greetings, professor. I have come to be assigned as your new personal assistant for your classroom. It is an honor to be here.” She stood back up, straight. A bright smile on her features. ”My name is Genesis Moonstrom.”

Octain had tossed papers to the side of his desk. Swearing in his head for a moment as he heard the door open again. He rolled his eyes for a moment as someone spoke. It was familiar. It.. Was... Her? He blinked a few times as his heart skipped a beat. He heard her name. Genesis. It was her. Her smooth voice. Putting the papers onto the desk for a minute. He couldn't believe it as he stood up. His vest and shorts were visible since his cloak was off as he turned around slowly. Looking at her. Seeing her hair. That lovely shade of pink.

"G-Genesis?" He said as his eyes behind the mask through the eye holes saw the beauty that was her. Standing in front of him. "Interesting turn of events. The fates must have had intent on us." He said with a stiffened laugh. "Though. I am honored to have you as my assistant." He said with a bow to her. Though it was a professional thing. Octain thought the fates either handed him a hand that would be useful. Or just bluffed of a future. The arcane worked in odd ways, though he liked that. Chaos and order working as one. The stars were in his favor, though was his own power the Arcane with in his?

"Please, I do not wish such formalities. We are friends before colleagues My Fair Lady." He said with a smile on his face. He grabbed a chair for her. Indicated for her to sit down. "Please, sit. I will look into getting you a chair and a desk with in the next Twenty-Four hours." He said, moving some of the items on his desk so she could sit down.

"I assume you know what to do? I have not had a personal assistant. Though.. should a question arise please ask." He handed her his schedule for the week. Was simple, until he realized he was even on duty on Sunday. Which means she was also on duty. Which means.. They could spend MORE time together. He blinked a few times and looked at her. Then looked at his desk and rubbed his eyes. "F-Forgive me. I have been marking all afternoon it feels like." He said as he was reading some of the information. The Blackboard was filled with different theories, examples of different ways to use magic through catalysts. Like wands, orbs and just different things.

He pulled out two small cups and looked around for a thermos as he found it and poured tea into the cups. The tea was still hot as he moved his mask to the side and took a sip. Putting his mask back into place and he looked at Genesis. "Please, have some." He said as he looked at some of his notes. Different ideas that had come up with on magic through his years of reading and training. "If you wish, feel free to read these." He said putting his binder in front of her. He got up from his desk and went through a small filing cabinet trying to find some information that she could use. Most of his more in depth info was at his house. He was sure asking her to swing by his place wasn't a good idea at this point. "I may need to come up with some reading material for you. Feel free to take from here as you wish. It is all Alphabetical order. As well as some are in order of date created." He said as he handed her a key to the lock. He had an extra one. Though needed to get an extra key for the room... And his office maybe. That would be nice to do. At least if he asked for something from his office she could get it while he was outside.

He went back to his chair and began reading over for a meeting later. "I have a meeting later right?" He said. Rubbing his chin. It was at about 5PM and his class ended at 4PM even if a few minutes had passed. It was a meeting for his honor for a prize he was going to receive on his most recent endeavors and theories. Though it was obvious he didn't read the whole sheet as it told him that he was the guest of honor as well as the main speaker of the event for any and all magic users with in Starlight. Octain had a busy schedule as he drank from his tea cup again, moving his mask away. Still hiding it from the girl he fell for. Who was now his assistant.

"Tis a small world we live in. Meet once. A few days later. Here we are My Fair Lady." He said putting the tea cup down. Octain pulled out his spellbook and wrote something in it. The rubbed his chin for a moment and then kept writing. It seemed he was jotting down notes for a new theory. "Magic... Number Zero... Empty. Ever changing. Each number different.." He said as he closed the book again. His spell book was so full of notes that he would need to get a new one soon. Though, it has always been like that. It was full of his theories, his notes. His life.

”Sir Octain?”

She couldn't believe it. She had finally met up with him, once more. She remembered of him faintly detailing his work at the academy. But for some odd reason, a part of her didn't expect him right here, in this exact moment. It had her stunned for sure, but also enthralled more than she could fathom. ”So they have. I thought we wouldn't run into each other like this again.” She smiled politely, to hide her enthusiasm. She was going to go under as an assistant for the Magistar himself. What a high honor, indeed. ”I will assist you to the best of my abilities, then. The ladies at the front of the school were most generous in giving me this role. Even more generous were the forces that brought us together once more.” Genesis was appeased. How fortunate that the man she was to work under was not only a high ranked magic practitioner, but a friend as well. She couldn't have asked for the fates to more align in her favor.

Because of this she was able to drop the formalities. There was only so much she could do outside of the lingual patterns inscribed in her brain. She slowly sat on the chair offered, as she folded her legs and rested her hands against her lap, to sit straight and look up at him. ”In that case I'll follow your requests, my friend. My own workspace will be very much appreciated. You'll find I'm adept at keeping items organized, so I shall make sure you won't miss a date or a time. It is the least I could do for someone whose shown me so much kindness.” With that, she gladly would take a schedule from him. Looking through it to try to get the most important dates and times locked in her head. Although... This thing would probably never leave her site, if she could help it. She was a fan of planning things out, though a secret side of her was also rather impulsive. She noticed him rubbing his eyes. Looking at her. Probably just tired, is all. ”Well, it is fortunate then that the school day has ceased to be. If you ever need help in grading, let me know. I'd be happy to be of service.”

With that, she continued to flip through her planner. She may need to get her own, she noted, for organizing her personal life with her business one. Hopefully her schedule wouldn't be too crowded now. Gratefully she accepted his tea. Her smile wide as she uttered a small 'thank you'. She took a small sip, before placing a cup down to continue to listen and take note. What really grabbed her attention was the offer of reading material. Some that could help her immensely. ”This is very much appreciated. I will make sure to place everything back where it belongs once I am finished with it.” Her gaze almost fell into a trance as she looked upon the archaic books that lined the shelves. This was... Excellent. Perhaps she could gain the answers she needed from them. And a bit more. She was still very young. Though she had the intellect and appearance of an adult she was practically a child in the eyes of her people. She had much to learn, still.

The potentials were pushed to the back of her head as she realized it was more important to focus on her tasks. She checked the schedule. He was correct. ”Yes...” She confirmed, almost pensive. ”I wouldn't want you to be late for that. It may be important after all. If needed I can tend to this place while you are away.” Genesis offered with a smile, holding the book close to her chest in a bit of a hug. She glanced over at him. Who was so eager to hide the face behind his mask. Just what was he hiding...

”I couldn't agree more.” She said, eagerly. She was glad the Magistar was able to see her again. Now, and every day. For she would be his loyal assistant. She noticed he was jotting something down. She was curious. ”If you don't mind my asking, what are you writing? A new theory, professor?” She smiled, looking down. ”I have... Much to learn in the ways of magic. So this is an excellent opportunity for me, and I could not be more thankful.”

Keeping things organized eh? That was a good thing. It helped him so much to be able to have someone to take up his slack and or just to give him breathing room. To allow him to maybe sleep and not be stressed out. He was having a hard time keeping himself awake at school, yet when he was at home, he was worried, being called out to do odd jobs and all. It was a horrible thing. Though he was stressed that day off. This fateful meeting. He was relaxed. He was happy for once besides the moments he could sit down and have some time to deal with Lexi. He then looked at her. Her pink hair. He then snapped back to reality. "Well.. I could always use a hand organizing things. Though I have yet to do much. We have much do to with in the next few weeks." He said. Octain wasn't fond of the word friend. It just made him realize, it was one sided for now as he looked out the window. "Right, Friend?" He said lightly in an attempt to himself. When he looked at his students sheets he sighed. "Well, I may take you up on that due to more assignments coming in. these were just this afternoons class, and the other two morning classes in the morning."

Octain smiled under his mask. "Should you find a new way to organize my things. Give me some notice before hand this way I may see how you do it or can sit down to take a look at how you have done so." He said. Looking over his spellbook's notes. "You have free reign on my public notes." He said. The term public notes meant he has more notes somewhere privately. In his house or somewhere safe, that on one could see. No one could touch. He looked around the classroom which was empty as he began putting in marks on a sheet of paper on his desk for the tests.

"Great, what's the meeting about? I hope they aren't trying to scold me once more for going into the Forest. Seems people have issues with no matter what I do." Of all the people to have an assistant. He had someone unconditionally Loyal because of a job. True Loyalty came from trust. Not from because of the tasks at hand. "Yes. A theory in which.. Each spell caster has different spells. Zero being the magic number, though each person has a number. One through to the amount of people in the world. Each one different. A theory I have played with for a while since I have never seen someone use the same spell ever. Should you ever have a question feel free to ask My Fair Lady. I will answer to the best of my ability." He said. Rubbing his chin. "I may be able to help. Give me some time to read over some of my notes. When you feel the time is ready for it. I will help as best I can."

"I am only human after all."

He said with a smile under his mask. Taking it away from his face, but hiding his skin from Genesis as he finished the tea, though he wasn't feeling too well. The lack of sleep was slowly creeping onto him. Though he was able to shake it off by putting more tea into his cup and topping off Genesis'. Just to be sure. "I have many theories on magic from different points of view. No view is the same as the other. All different in ways I have yet to find out. Though.. I do believe I am onto something with the TRUE theory of magic." He said. Standing up with his tea cup in his hand. Leaving nothing to chance. He didn't even drink from it as he sighed "Though, like a passing dream it eludes my touch." The Arcane is indeed a cruel Mistress to her Magistar.

He was worried about it, though he needed more time to find out more theories, more time to find the secret. "Tell me My Fair Genesis, what are your powers? Besides the ability to create stars? I'd like to know what my assistant could do. If you have no issue revealing that." He said. opening his spellbook with an awaiting ink pen to write it down.

Genesis kept herself upright and attentive as Octain would reveal her responsibilities. She wasn't pressed for time in her mission, though she didn't want to take too many unnecessary sidetracks. Still, at least she felt this experience would be enjoyable for her. Octain was proficient in his field, to which she was honored to partake in. Maybe in her work she would learn things about herself. She honestly hoped that this was the key for her. An obscure key, but one useful to her nonetheless.

”Yes, sire.” Genesis replied with a slight bow of her torso. In response to both her confrontation in companionship and her duty to inform him to any changes in organization. Fortunately for him, it seemed they saw eye-to-eye in terms of what their method was. ”Thank you for giving me that privilege. I'll be sure to be careful with them.” She looked over to the shelves almost wistfully. So much material, and so little time. Genesis wanted to learn about him and with him, and having a secretary position as he would teach the class would be fascinating. ”I am excited to start.”

As soon as she said that though it appeared her first task was at hand. She opened the planned once more to look at the meeting. It's purpose... Ah! She smiled brightly, looking up at him. ”Octain! The meeting you are to attend is in honor of you! It seems the academy would like to congratulate you on your efforts towards the quality of your curriculum...” She approached him slowly, holding out the planned carefully for him to see himself. Her pride for him diminished somewhat as a frown touched her face. ”It's unfortunate that you are getting reprimanded for exploring the island. Perhaps their eyes aren't open like yours. At least, in terms of finding enjoyment in the foreboding.” Genesis admitted, the forbidden forest was sort of unsettling... But hence the name. She wasn't frightened of it, but could see why others would be. Regardless it was a silly things to get chewed out over, at least she thought. Especially when he did seem that he knew what he was doing. Genesis once more took a seat while he explained his theory to her. Jotting down a note personally in her planner.

”Fascinating...” Genesis muttered under her breath, her eyes completely on him as she folded her hands in her lap. Only moving when she reached to grasp the cup of tea, to which she sipped silently. ”I hope that your work proves itself to be true. That... Makes plenty of sense. I may not understand magic completely, but I have a grasp.” She said softly. The concept of zeroes... What exactly did that mean then? Did she have that? She would have to look more at his notes later. To figure out what it meant, or who she was. ”I wish to know as much as possible about the technicalities of magic. I am sure you will unlock the secrets soon, to obtain all that you desire.” And he said he was only human? ”I unfortunately cannot say I have that luxury.”

She took another sip. Her blue eyes closing lightly. Before looking up at his face. A smile touched it. She was happy he asked. ”Well...” She stood up, pulling a bit down on her tunic to straighten it out. ”As I have told you, I have been imbued with the magic of the zodiac upon my conception. But they affect more than just my tie to the stars.” She paced over to the window. Staring softly outside, releasing a sigh of content. ”My powers, my appearance, and my physicality is tied to each of the signs. Currently, I bear the mark of Taurus. And I shall until the twentieth. My powers are young, but during this period I have reign over earthly forces. Merely a simple empathy with plants and animals but... This is my favorite element I am aligned to.” She wished she had a zodiac calendar to show him. ”Each element follows a cycle with the zodiac. In a never ending wheel, through days, through months, and through seasons.” She turned her back on him for just a moment. Not to be rude, but to gesture at something. ”My back... I wish not to be inappropriate, but I shall tell you my power lies within the mark on my back. It's connected to the fibers of my being.” She turned back around to him, chuckling under her breath as her hand drew over her mouth. ”My powers are best shown rather than told. But they require patience, as they come about me with time.” Her fingers drew to run down her cheek. Around her face. There was something else he had to know.

”And this face is not the one you shall see in a month's time.”

Octain kind of nodded his to most of her information. He didn't care so much about what she was saying about the meeting. Though something did strike interest. The school wasn't scolding him but wanted to award him with something? This was a new subject for him. Something new to deal with for him. He read the paper over and gave it some thought. "Well then. I might go IF I cannot find a way out of it." He said. He wasn't too interested in public speaking or even being a guest of honor. He was a Magistar, though he didn't care for the rank and felt that due to his heritage he should be humble and not accept such awards. Then again. He could accept it just to give it to someone else. When she frowned he shook his head. "I have a tendency to use magic when i wish. Though the school wishes to control usage. I believe that if you do not harm. You are permitted. Though the school thinks differently."

He then took some time to allow himself to figure out what he wanted to do. Why he was trying to find the secret of magic. Though the reason was something of an obvious nature. Since it kept eluding him for years. How he try to find it on his own. Though after she was talking he began to sigh. His desires? What he wanted out of life? He already had a handle on his magic. He was a smart man of unparalleled intellect which allowed him such a title. Though he wanted something no one else would give him.

Acceptance. As not just rank, but a person.

He heard he talking and began to write down notes at a fast pace. Trying to keep up with her talking. Though he was doing a good enough job, he would have to review it later through his chicken scratch. When she stopped he took out a small paper with the Zodiac sign on it. And would write down Nature Apathy for Taurus. And then would make space for her to either write down the notes. He rubbed his chin as he looked over his notes. Most of her magic was based on something on her back. Though he was utterly interested in her back. He wanted to see it for himself, though they weren't there yet. He wasn't sure what he wanted out of her anyways. Maybe they would just stay the way there were.

"Not the face in a months time?" He said inquisitively. her appearance is tied to the signs as he then quickly began to write more notes and then walked around the room for something. As if trying his best to try to find something. "I believe my notes on seasons are with in my safe at home. I shall try to read up on this." He said, looking over bookcases. Then sighing and then standing by his chair and turning away from her. He was looking over his notes.

"The will... Of... Magic.. She spok-" He stated almost irresponsibly. With the information given. Octain came to believe that Genesis, was a sign from him. The stars were with him. Even if his past was stained in blood. He had someone here with him. Who was bathed in the Arcana's radiant embrace. He then looked at her. She was beautiful. Octain looked away again. Averting her eyes. "I will grant you access to my public theory's once you have a handle I will allow you access to my advanced."

He then took the cup to his face as he removed the mask to take a sip, even in the window the face looked like a black mess. When he put his mask on he swallowed to tea that he sipped from and then put the tea cup down.

"Surely you must have questions."

In complete truth, Genesis did not expect him to be keen on the idea of awards. Such a man as himself probably had no use for it. And, he seemed chivalrous enough to not wish to accept it. Still, it would be her sworn duty to deliver any and all news to him. Good or bad. It would be up to him to interpret what would be so. She was just the messenger. ”I shall stand by to whichever choice you make. I answer to you first before all else.” Genesis stated clearly, with a bright smile. She was learning quickly about her mentor, to which she was fortunate. Still there was this enigma about him. Something that would take quite awhile to unravel. Even then, that may prove to be difficult. After he said that there would be restrictions for how he could use his powers. ”Control? Oh dear… I hope not to upset my limit. I can understand restrictions in terms of hurting one another but using it for yourself I see no need for control...” Her hands reached out to daintily pick the teacup back up. ”Though, I am new. The ways of this island have yet to be seen for me.”

She noticed from the corner of his eye that he marked down the sign on her back. The sign of taurus. She smiled lightly. ”Yes. As the leaves change color, as the flowers bloom, and as the frost embraces the grass, I will always change as well. This environment is me. And I must accept that. You’ll… See what I mean beginning in a few days. I do hope that this power of mine is not a hindrance to my employment. It is a blessing or a curse. It is up to you to decide which term best suits where your heart lies. I will accept whichever you believe in, sire. ” She approached his desk, her eyes grazing over his public notes. A smile touching her face once again. ”I would like to help you if needed upon any information you desire. Though, it appears you most likely know a lot more than I do. I know it’ll be I to come up to you for many questions. I am very curious about you, kind professor.”

She noticed he cut himself off upon discussing the ruler of his magic. She may be tied to it, however it appeared to be a secret. Perhaps she was too young, or not in the correct field to understand… Oh, but how important everything here was to her! She wanted to not be rude, but… There were so many questions. And none seemed like they would be answered until the time came… Which, by her lucky break, was sooner than she expected.

”Yes, more than I can fathom...” Genesis laughed a bit, as she gratefully sipped from her tea. ”I am quite curious about what your powers may be. A wise mage such as yourself must have an entire arsenal of spells and casts in your mind, hm?” She looked down at her tea. Her reflection cast in it. ”But it is not my place to assume. You need not to answer me. I just… Wish to know you more. You are my superior of sorts. As in...” Well, this was going to be hard to ask. ”Who is that man behind the mask. Not physically, but on a metaphorical level. Although… That is a topic of my concern, as well.”

Octain wasn't a fan of awards, he deemed them just a glorified way to put someone on the spot for what they did. Though she seemed to accept this fact of him wishing to take it off. He shook his head lightly as he spoke. "My Fair Lady, should you go in my stead, keep the award." He said with a smile on his under his mask. Who ever spoke on his behalf deserved it. Not him. "Though, you should not have to go in this mans stead. Either way." He said looking out the window slowly leaning on it as he rubbed his eyes. "The school neither fears nor scoffs at magic. It accepts it when it suits them best. They have ways to control horrible students, or ways to silence them. Literally. This school is just another cage. Though on the other hand a sanctuary where people will not be injured at all. two sides to the same school. Different views." Different lives.

While he was writing, he trailed off into how lovely she was. Stating her lovely pink hair, her eyes. As well as other features, before he came back into the real world. "N-No. unless it forces you to leave work for some reason. Then it will be fine. You are you." He said looking ot the window. "No one can stop that." He looked at her for a moment, his eyes growing weary for a moment, though he was tired talking to her made him feel awake. Alive. Like he just drank coffee. Pointing at the paper of the zodiac he spoke again. "would you mind a brief description on your powers so I may find out more just write it down. I'll do what I can to help My Fair Lady." He did... What he could to help...

Help... Was all he ever did.

Octain was standing by the window. exhaustion was catching up to him as he rubbed his eyes and a yawn escaped his mouth. How long was he awake? How long was it since he last had time to himself? It felt like days or even weeks. He wasn't sure on what to do, though he kept going regardless of his situation.

"My powers are govern by the Arcane. I can cast most spells people know, or have heard of. Though my spells have limits. Due to the laws of my circle. I cannot kill with magic. It only uses the force necessary to route my enemies. I only use a select few." He said. Looking at the window with his tired eyes. "Who is the man under the mask?... The last Magistar. The hopes and dreams of a Magi Circle, the survivor turned nomad. A king with no crown." He said.

He wasn't going in deep, but she should catch that he was the last one of his kind. A dying breed of magicians. Powerful, yet alone. Either way. He spoke with confidence and acceptance of this. With a proud smile under his mask. Even if he was the reason. And made a year long conflict seem like a moments struggle.

”You... Wish for me to accept it on your behalf sire?”

It puzzled her as to why Octain was being so generous with his offers. After all, she just met him days ago, and even if she was his private secretary she felt she didn't deserve such personal treatment. It was an honor and a hefty privilege, one in which she would not take lightly. ”I... I'll take it with dignity. For you. Though if it is something you desire I'll gladly relinquish it.” Genesis assured, with a smooth nod of her head. ”Thank you, Octain.”

Of course the action wasn't without conditions. She was under his authority, after all. Whatever he said went. It was the nature of her position. ”I hope I get the best side this school has to offer. It is... Important that magic should flourish.” With that, she raised her small cup of tea to him. The motion so eased that the contents inside did not slosh around once. ”To prosperity of our potential, hm?”

With that thought in mind, he seemed to have the desire to explore further. She folded her hands in her lap, smiling softly. He certainly was curious, it seemed. ”It may, when the time comes. I hope I won't miss too many days of my occupation...” In order to clear up that cloudy area, she stood up once more to approach the window. Opening it a bit to let air in. She said a few words in elvish to herself, before she continued. ”For the signs of earth- that being Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, I appear to have an aptitude towards the empathy of plants and animals. For the signs of water, those being Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, I can quell a couple of quarrelsome waves, as well as walk on water. Air- present in the time of Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius- grants me the power to become sensitive to meteorological events and conditions. Fire...” She paused for a moment. To think carefully to what she was to say to her employer. ”Fire is not quite what you may believe. Aries… Leo… Sagittarius… All three signs allow me to see apparitions. Spirits that have passed on. I may not be able to talk to them directly, but they know I can see them and understand what they have to say. Fire is death, yet life reborn. I must take the whispers of those passed on and utilize them to better the conditions of the living. The cycle of rebirth, through something most precious- knowledge.” She watched as the clouds rolled by outside, before snapping out of an almost dream-like trance to look at him. Almost sheepishly. ”Oh dear, I’m rambling again. Please pardon all of that.”

She returned to the desk, straightening out papers and sorting materials Octain had gone through the school day with. He looked exhausted. It was her job now to fill in for everything that was ailing him. Physically or mentally. Especially as he was detailing how responsible he was for representing the last of his people. She too took notes-albeit mentally-about his powers. How very, very fascinating… And more admirable than she could comprehend.

”I am… Unfit for your presence. It is with great humility that I work under you. I suppose we are both crucial to the prosperity of our kind…. A factor we seem to have a bond with” With that, she knelt. To one knee, with her head pointed to the floor. ”I wish that you find the appropriate crown to fit your stature. I do have faith that you can contribute to the potential magic users of the future. It is no wonder why you have earned awards. You have certainly deserve them.”
