It was with only slight trepidation that Lulu stepped off the ferry onto the largest island of the Monte Carlos Archipelligo. The short girl wobbled slightly as she stood still, looking at the city. It had taken almost two days of travel time to finally arrive here, with her meager personal effects. She wiped her glasses on her sweater, placing them back onto her face. Lulu tugged her suitcase closer, and pulled it to the end of the dock before she had realized...she had no clue where the heck she was going.

Like any person, when she had heard of a location unfamiliar to her, her first thought had been to hunt for it on the internet. And she found...very little. The island in the letter didn't even show up on Google Earth! Lulu tightened her large backpack on her back, and looked around for some kind of information kiosk, or souvenir shop, or even a helpful McDonalds with a guidebook. She had a large hat on her head, covering her ears, so no one ought to think of anything weird...

Lulu's scarlet gaze narrowed, before opening wide in suprise. The day was nice, cool, but sunny so many folks were wandering around. And many...were like her. She saw someone with crimson skin, with ram's horns, with wings. Extremely tall people, very tiny. Her body wobbled again, this time from a feeling of nostalgia. It was the same feeling she got, when she thought of home.

A tear streaked down one cheek, unabashedly, and she moved forward to the closest building. It was time to find this school.

Aurum. Known a the tank was walking around the docks of the Ferry and then stopped. Gazing upon it and letting out a heavy sigh. He then tried to find out what was going on. There was a new set of students coming to the school as he awaited to find anyone of interest. He didn't really find any. Though most people averted the Seven foot tall man with a ghoulish metalic eye looking around as if it had it's own mind.

He rubbed his chin as he was wearing a black suit jacket, white shirt, black tie and a black dress vest. His hands were covered in black finger less gloves. He then started to walk and bumped into a girl by accident.

"Forgive me." He said with a gruff voice. The only one he could muster. He was built like a tank. He then looked at the girl. He was curious as he slowly undid his tie a bit due to it being a little tight and then dusted off the girl.

"You look a little lost."

"Oof," was her quiet response to having essentially walked into a wall. She blinked up at the person she just bumped into, taking a step back for good measure. Nevermore had she felt so tiny. With a quick adjust of her glasses-and wipe of her teary eyes-, she took in the rather terrifying person before her. At first when he went to brush her off, she flinched. Not his fault, just an inadvertent reaction to being touched.

His voice was as deep as you'd expect from such a large man...but the words were nice, and helped relax her. "Nothing to forgive, I should've paid better attention. No offence...but if I wasn't taking in everything, I imagine you would be hard to miss." A small smile crossed her face. "Um...well. Yes. I am. I was told I got accepted here at a school...uhm...Starlight Academy. I'm a new college student...and...I don't actually know where the school is." She spoke the last bit in a quiet, fast voice.

"If you could even just...point me in the right direction?" Lulu tried to keep her eyes from staring at the constantly shifting eye, failing slightly.

Aurum smiled a bit, giving her a once over to ensure the girl was okay he then moved to his normal height. Slowly put his hand into his pocket and pulled out a Lolipop for her. He was told a good way to make people not afraid of you. Give them candy. This way they don't see you as the 7 foot tall 'Can kill me with your mind' kind of person.

"My name is Aurum, may I ask yours?"

He said slowly putting out his hand for a handshake, just trying to get some small conversation going before he went on. She was a new student and wanted to learn the place? Well Aurum had studied the area like no one else.

"Then allow me to show you around, tis a big place and is easy to get lost."

The eye stopped moving on it's own and honed into the girl in front of him, the eye
shined a brilliant blue for a moment as he awaited her answer.

Lulu blinked, holding the lollipop loosely, slightly confused. Then she flushed-she must look like a little kid to this guy, with her short bobbed hair, her wide eyes...her overall shortness. She put it in a hidden pocket of her tartan skirt, mumbling a thank you.

"I am Lulu, Aurum." The odd name rolled off her tongue-she was used to reading fantasy books so foreign names were easy. She shook his giant hand with her little one. "I would very much appreciate it if you could bring me to the school. I want to get all set up..." She shrugged a shoulder to indicate her backpack, and her suitcase was obvious on its own. "Are you a...student here? Or...teacher?" He looked rather older, but that could just be his clearly tougher exterior making him look older than he was.

Aurum watched her blink a few times and then just smiled for a moment. Did Aurum embarrass her by giving her a lollipop? He went to inquire about before he was stopped by the girl stating her own name. Lulu? That was an interesting name. Then again most names seemed interesting to him.

"Pleasure Lulu." He said with a slight bow. Simply tilting his head down a bit and then raising it. He then attempted to grab the suitcase. "I can handle that if you wish." he stated.

Either way, he began walking at a slow pace, just to take in the city. He didn't come here often, but always knew where he was going at all times. The question she purposed was interesting. Was he a student or teacher? Well he wasn't a student, though isn't technically a teacher. "Neither, the school just allows me to stay in the building since I cannot find anywhere else to go."

The girl shook her head, but smiled to show she wasn't trying to offend. "I can lead my own bag, thank you." She tugged it over the path, it making a loud rumbling noise on the pretty, but not smoothed path. Lulu was happy Aurum was so big-she wouldn't lose him in a crowd since he towered over most folks.

"The school just...lets you stay?" She went silent, contemplating what that could mean. "I suppose...that acceptance letter was much more accepting than I previously thought." Lulu giggled, a light, tinkling sound. "It said something about all of us being..."special"..and having a place we could go. I didn't...I hadn't realized how literal they meant it. I didn't realize there were others like me and my sister." Her eyes glazed over, looking back at the people in the crowd, but thinking of other things. She didn't realize her pace picked up, and bumped into Aurum.

"A-ah! Oops, sorry. I'm not usually so scatter brained. There's just a lot to take in here...how long have you lived here then?" She fixed her red eyes on him again, feet moving at a steady pace.

Aurum smiled as she said she could take her own luggage. He was pretty happy with that. Normally he did ask and did take some of the heavier things due to sheer size and raw power. "I understand." He said.

"Well.. I appeared here. To put it bluntly." He stated. He stretched it to see if she was going to ask what he meant. Try to get some kind of conversation going. "Acceptance Letter?" He said curiously. He heard that term around, though he wasn't too sure on what it was to begin with. Seeing as how he appeared through time and space. "You and your sister will be safe and welcomed here. Each person may have their own quirks. Even gifted humans or those who do not mind us are here. From what I understand." He said rubbing his chin with his left hand.

Aurum felt someone bump into him and he stopped for a moment to check on Lulu. "No problem. Here, instead of walking behind me." He spoke as he moved to her side. "Walk beside me."

He began to walk once more. The city was big compared to the school so it would talk them sometime, but Aurum knew a few short cuts. Even had a vehicle they COULD drive.

"Lived here? Just under a few months. Give or take a day or two. Where did you come from?"

Her mind drifted on the idea of him just ..appearing here. A wormhole? A timeloop? Did he fall from the sky? A magic spell? Innate teleportation? An experiment? On purpose? Possibilities flew through her head, just reminding her of further possibilites of everyone else on this island. Lulu, herself seeming mostly human minus physical appearance, took the most mundane methods of travel to arrive. Realizing her thoughts had made her silent for probably an awkward amount of time, she spoke softly, "By what manner did you appear? I assume you don't mean like how I did...on a boat." Her cheeks turned up in a small smile.

"Yes, I received an acceptance letter to a school I hadn't applied for-and probably wouldn't have applied for considering the distance if it hadn't offered free room and board...I doubt my sister will come." Her mouth twisted slightly, before continuing, walking at his side.

"I'm from Canada. Toronto, in specific. What about you?" Her head tilted as she asked, like an animal trying to hear better.

Aurum smirked a bit as she asked how he came here. The best way Aurum could describe how he came here was either a worm hole or a rip in time and space. So he answered pretty bluntly. "A Warp hole. A rip in time and space had brought me to back in time OR in another reality. Either way. It is my home now."

He said as he kept walking. keeping what was in his mind or what he wanted to say to himself.

"Why have such doubts about your sister?"

How was he going to explain where he was from? Besides THE FUTURE! He rubbed his chin for a moment as he looked like he was touching something in air. Just looking at his home once more on a green hologram that appear before him and he alone. That showed pictures of the monastery. Where he lived, grew and became who he was.

"With out boring you. From the future. Specifically the moon Titan of Saturn."
