It was about 9:45 am when Shinji got to the room the next day. He was a little groggy from last night after what he was doing but it was nothing that he couldn't handle. He knew that he would be a little early in this case because he wanted to make sure he was well composed after being so groggy in the morning. The sun was up and the sky was clear, only a few fluffy white clouds could be seen in the distance. The sun wasn't beating directly on the roof of the academy but it was pretty close. Within a few hours it probably would be. Shinji stood at the edge of the roof where a piece had been broken off from what he did the night before. He shook his head in disappointment since he knew he could have done better than he did.

Now Shinji was sitting on the edge rather than standing over it. His long, baggy blue jeans hung over his black shoes while his feet dangle off the building. His dark blue hoodie concealed a plain, black T-shirt. This was normal attire for Shinji. This is what he felt most comfortable in.

As Shinji sat there, hands in the pockets of his hoodie, he thought of how they first might figure out what he ability was in the first place. He made a few conclusions off of what he knew already from he and Hal's conversation the other day. "Maybe it was an ability to nullify electrical currents for his own protection. Or maybe it's a power just like my own only not as developed yet. Damn, this one may be tricky to get the hang of, but on the bright side, I know it has something to do with electricity and I am a walking car battery so that should be help, right?" Everything he thought of was just small theories that he would love to prove. Lucky for him, he would soon figure out the answer to these questions. "This isn't going to do me any good." Shinji started to think aloud. "I am over thinking this. Maybe I should wait to find out more when Hal gets here. That way it'll be easier to figure out how to unlock this power if I have more facts to work behind." He finished as he turned to look at the entrance to the roof, awaiting Hal's arrival.

Ashiel came by the roof to survey the land that he would one day conquer. The island in itself was impressive what with all the natural resources it may provide him and his army, but what he needed most was power. The students here were all different and skilled in their own right. With his current condition, he knew that more than half of these people would be able to stop him within a second. He scowled at the thought. For now, this might be the case, but nothing will stop him from going back to how he used to be.

As he entered through the door leading outside, his cape billowed around him. The air was getting rather chilly because of the season, but Ashiel didn't really mind. The cape was enough to give him some sort of protection against the chill.

He spotted another individual sitting by the edge. He raised a brow at the sight of the roof that he sat at and wondered if it had always been like that. Coming closer, he called out to the other boy, "Hey!" he says, "What are you doing over there? You might fall!"

Shinji, still sitting and awaiting Hal's arrival, was sitting on the edge of the roof looking down thinking about the fall that he had the night before. He was still recovering from it though as he felt little bits of soreness and fatigue in places the he never thought possible. Then he trailed further off into thought about the girl that he met. What was her name? Avian. He had never met anyone like her, honestly it was weird in a way. She was spontaneous but shy at the same time with was very uncommon for most people that Shinji has met in his not even nearly full lifetime.

"Hey!" Shinji hears from behind him. This caught him off guard and cut off his train of thought completely. He knew instantly that it wasn't Hal by the tone of voice that he had. But who was it? He didn't bother to turn around until he heard what else the stranger had to say. "What are you doing over there? You might fall!" the stranger said as he Shinji continued his sitting on the roof's edge. Who was this random stranger and what was he doing on the roof at this time of morning anyways?

Turning his torso around halfway as well as he head, Shinji looked back to see who was there. A blonde, flashy person stood near the entrance to the roof. Shinji began to smile a little thinking back again to the fall he had last night. "Calm down" Shinji started calmly. "It's a little late for that, I guess. I've already been down that road before and I don't think I will be doing that again anytime soon." Shinji said calmly still holding that smile from before. 'Might I as who you are?" Shinji said as he turned back to face the outward perimeter of the academy grounds.

Hearing what the other had to say, Ashiel's eyes widened at the thought of the boy already falling off the building. It seemed quite high and he briefly wondered how he was able to survive it. Or at the very least not come out unscathed and still be well enough to walk around.

He thought about insisting the other to go visit the infirmary but shook his head quickly as logic told him that he might be those with skills to help him recover. Regeneration? Super fast healing? Skilled as he was, he didn't have that ability.

Ashiel wondered if he did though, maybe when his power is at its strongest. Or when he's under the red moon of his land. He can never truly figure out his skills without finding returning home. He still mentally added that to the list of things he'd have to search in the library for later.

"Might I ask who you are?" the brunette says and Ashiel turns to him and becomes annoyed at the sight of the other with his back turned, facing the grounds.

Scoffing, he crossed his arms across his chest and replied, his voice high and haughty, "It's rude, don't you think to not even face the person you're talking to?"

Still, with his back turned and his feet dangling over the edge of the roof, continued to look over the academy grounds. Shinji was not one to start a fight nor one to really want to get into one even if he was provoked. His hair was blown slightly to the side when a breeze rolled past. While fixing his hair, he responded to the stranger's thoughts. "I apologize for my rudeness but isn't it always to polite to introduce yourself to someone when you meet them? It's common courtesy." Shinji didn't realize how he had snapped back with a 'Smart Alec' tone. Though he wasn't in THAT much of a good mood right now anyways.

Shinji had woken up that morning with a little less of a mood than he would usually. maybe it was his fall from the night before or maybe it was just a bad day for him. It is doubted that he was having a bad day since it was morning and nothing had even happened yet, well until this guy came up to the roof. Still not turning around to face the stranger behind him, Shinji felt that neither of them were getting off to a good start of the day nor a good start in whatever social relationship they may end up in. At this rate, if it escalated any further, they would be against one another.

A flush crept up Ashiel's features as he heard the other's comeback. He wrapped his cape around him as some form of comfort as he stepped closer instinctively, wanting to pacify the other and not get himself in trouble. But his third step wavered and slowed. By the time he was directly behind the other boy, he had managed to talk himself out of apologizing, backing down. He was different. There were greater things in store in his life and he wasn't going to act like he didn't have a backbone in simple things like this.

Glaring down at the other guy, he replied, his tone still as haughty as it was before, like his shame never really appeared, "You were the one who asked for my name." he says, "It's common courtesy, as you say, to at least face me while doing it."

Shinji sighed as he slid himself backwards from the edge of the roof and stood up slowly. His head hung low before he pulled it up and began to stare into the kid's eyes. his own deep, bright blue eyes were shining in the sun that stood behind the 14 year old. Shinji's expression was emotionless and exerted the vibe that he obviously wasn't trying to do this, not right now. But if need be, he would mind to show his true colors. "Look" Shinji said to the kid. "I'm really not in the mood for this right now. So if you want to be the 'Macho Man' in this situation then please be my guest to indulge me on how you like to handle things." he paused and continued to stare without blinking. Then continued after inhaling deeply. "I don't have to look at you if I don't want and I don't want nor need to my friend. By the way, what are you wearing?" Shinji finished as his eyes trailed over to the boy's cape.

Ashiel stood his ground as the other one stood up, and stared down at him. Ashiel refused to be made inferior to anyone. He was the one talking about common courtesy, he should at least abide by the things that he says. Ashiel wasn't about to be intimidated by some big shot who thinks that he can talk that way to people. Who does he think he is anyway?

But he didn't say any of these, because a good soldier knows how to choose fights. Biting back his tongue from saying anything, Ashiel gripped at his sleeves as he answered the other boy's question. "It's a cape." he says, "It asserts my position above others. It's a symbol of my power."

He stopped himself from saying anymore. He remembered how his parents from this world had looked at him incredulously. No one really understand what it means to be stranded.

Back in his world, he knew that capes were given to those with remarkable power. Finding the cape back home, buried under piles of clothes, that was when the memories have come rushing back at him. He refused to leave it back home when his mother had suggested it. The light weight on his shoulders gave him comfort and strength. Which is exactly what it was made for.

Shinji's left eyebrow elevated as he found that the boy was wearing a cape. Immediately, Shinji thought of this as maybe childish but what changed this thought was why the kid was wearing his cape. "It asserts my position above others. It's a symbol of my power." he said with a confident attitude towards Shinji. It was commendable to keep his ground but arrogant to think that he is just above others as if they were his followers or subordinates. This made Shinji think for a moment on what could have given him this idea in the first place. Obviously someone has gotten to him when he was younger. Or maybe not?

"And who exactly are you above?" Shinji asked in a deep tone that showed his disbelief. Before the kid reply, Shinji continued on to ask, "Come to think of it, what is your power anyways?"With any luck the boy would have some kind of awesome power of the cosmos or something that would make him much stronger than anyone else or at least be skilled enough with a basic power that could easily make him stronger than most like how Mr. Cunninham was. Though Shinji doubts that he would ever be as skilled as that teacher, maybe he would be close enough to where it would justify his thought of being above others as if he was in a high position such as king or maybe a kings most favored general.

"I'm not sure if I should say," Ashiel starts quietly before the other had intercepted and asked another question. His tone was of disbelief, as if thinking that Ashiel couldn't really be of any importance at all and it was starting to grate on his nerves. When the other had finished, Ashiel had cleared his throat and proceeded with what he had to say.

"I'm not sure if I should say," he repeated, this time, his voice was loud and clear. The space between them was beginning to make him a bit uncomfortable. The older boy was too close for his liking and hadn't stepped back at all. That might be because of the fact he was standing right at the edge of the roof, and as afraid Ashiel was of the other falling, he was incredibly stubborn and can't find it in his pride to back down from whatever battle that he currently believes in his mind.

"Both my position concerning others and my power." he lowered his voice enough, to make it seem ominous and threatening, but in reality he was only trying to divert the other from prying. He was still far from being the terrifying demon that he was. And although he would usually divulge this information to some people who'd ask, he wasn't sure about this one. This meeting alone was becoming frustrating for him, and Ashiel would rather not be on anyone's bad side but he can't please everybody it seems. As it is, if he told the other one who he was in this weakened state, he didn't really know what the other would do to him. He'd rather not leave it to chance.
