2019 Adoption Week Event: Adoption Drive Thread

As part of the annual celebration of Adoption Week officials from Starlight Academy and the government of Manta Carlos have begun an adoption drive. A multipurpose room at City Hall has been set up to provide a one stop shop for all the information a potential parent might need to get started on adopting a child. Counselors and other youth-oriented officials have been meeting with interested children to compile lists of all interested parties.

While this event WILL NOT allow characters to circumvent the usual steps required to go through the adoption process (background investigations, interviews, quality of life evaluations, etc.), it will shorten the process slightly as all applicants will have the opportunity to meet with all the associated offices and officials involved in adoption in one place.

To participate in the Adoption Drive, please fill out the appropriate form below and reply to this thread. The Mod team will not be actively matching children and parents as we feel it's more appropriate for members to plot together on something so important to their characters. However we will keep the lists current. If your character adopts someone or is adopted please leave another reply saying which characters are involved so we mark them off the list.

Warnings/Requirements: Shiro is a very troubled child, so any parent will need to have patience and be willing to help. Parent must also adopt her siblings, Tadashi Yoshimori and Tomomi Hikari.

Special requests: Better if he is adopted by a man. A woman could work but would take a significantly longer period of adjustment. Non-conductive or otherwise capable of handling zappy hugs a huge plus.
Warnings/Requirements: Must be able to handle a bug child that accidentally zaps things. Must be able to deal with a child that likely will not survive past about 4 more years barring a major change. Cannot live in a holy place, one that is fiery or too cold.

Warnings/Requirements: He is a magical human and ofcourse can be dangerous. He also requires that whomever asks before making physical contact as he is quite cautious of suddenly being touched, due to previous abuse.

Special requests: Someone who will put the time in to get her to talk, and be a friend first.
Warnings/Requirements: She can bring inanimate objects to life, most notably toys. When threatened, afraid or asleep, she can summon spirit-like constructs and possibly lose control of them. It's best to never part her from her Shaymin toy. She distances herself from almost everyone, especially adults.
