To say Morgan was pissed off would be an understatement. First, several missed history assignments, then an argument with that loudmouthed red head. Then! His father had chewed him out for his grades being less than stellar, and the icing on the cake? He was grounded! Well, in the sense he didn't have his phone. Literally grounding him would be a painful procedure. Morgan mused, as he flexed the sable wings that emerged from his shoulder blades.
The sky was overcast, and the wind was blowing in steady gusts. While he was dressed somewhat warmly, he would have normally been chilled to the bone. Although his annoyance with the world in general seemed to be generating heat all on its own.
The wind had already tousled his midnight black hair from its normally neat and orderly position. While Morgan did enjoy being neat, he couldn't argue, he looked good when he was mad. Almost like his mother. He thought grimly.
With an annoyed snort he flexed his wings, sending a gust of air outward. He'd always enjoyed these small displays of power, they burned energy, and reminded him that he was free to go wherever he wanted by air. Sighing, Morgan picked up a nearby pebble and tossed it off the edge of the roof. It clicked harmlessly below onto the pavement.
No one was outside, mainly due to the weather, although many of the students, unlike him, had better things to be doing. Whereas Morgan was occupying himself by sitting on the edge of a rooftop, seething in annoyance and tossing pebbles.
"Well, on the bright side. Today can't get any worse." He said to himself, wincing at the forced optimism in his tone.
