
Kon's frustration was plain on his face. He wasn't exactly sure how he felt about the answer. Technically, it was what he wanted, but a legal adult could be anything. He could act like a just-coming-into-age 18-year-old or, less realistically, a confident 40-year-old fully knowledgeable about life. Something more specific would have been nice, and he was going to push for it.
"That's... good." He forced a stiff smile. It was taking everything in him to not let his shape-shifting go haywire. The discussion was age, so he had a good feeling his colors weren't the only thing that may change.
"It's only... I'm not sure if that's good enough. I've been, um, thinking about my age. How I've been stuck at nineteen for five years. But now that I'm out of school and focused on work, I don't... really feel like I fit 'nineteen' anymore. It feels weird even pursuing relationships like... this. I'd like to be more mature? Like I haven't been nineteen for five years but instead being twenty-four."
