Kon internally rolled his eyes at "I can put myself in their position." He understood Bastet was genuinely trying to be kind, yet it still felt like a meaningless comment. It's always easy to think about what someone's position is like and say you understand. It's another to have experienced it and truly understand. Oh well. Looked like she wanted to change her ways for the better. Getting riled up over something small like that was Kon letting his own baggage get to him.

"What Angelo said! After that is just socializing and getting acclimated with the culture. It shouldn't be too hard for you. You're clearly trying to get used to things." Which was more than what he could say for many other new students he's met.

Kon somewhat side-stepped commenting on the amount of homework. Homework wasn't a problem for him, and he didn't have any past experiences to compare it to. Unless you counted his self-assigned work, but none of that was required.

"The amount of homework you have depends on what classes you'll be taken. Don't worry too much about it. The school is good at accommodating what you need to do well in school."

"I will be sure to fetch a pamphlet.", while she didn't mention, Basté was already musing ways to entertain a demon to a meal or to be as a good host to them should they come visit her, upon her request or otherwise. She herself had a few questions to ask, most of them behavioral, like a Succubus' ability to enter dreams. No, she had nothing to hide in her dreams, but had to tidy up the "place" for them, right?

Turning to Kon with a nod, she made sure to add: "I have Japan to thank for that. Due to variety of yokais and getting acquainted to them to a personal level, I've grown used to non-human beings. And had a good time with them too... I kinda miss fluffing kitsune tails (when they gave me the OK, of course), and in exchange I have to buy them deep-fried tofu."

Upon hearing about the supplies for the power training, she turned to Angelo and a wind snake appeared right next to her head, glowing faintly green. Soon followed by another on the opposing side. Why did they look so smug while she had a silly smirk?! Basté asked a question and the wind serpents opened their mouth with a light hiss: "Are there sumo training dummies?", and soon got them properly acquainted with her "not-so-little" buddies.

"Ah, these are creations of my Atmospheric Manipulator Redux. They aren't living beings, just air shaped densely like serpents. They are quite strong themselves. They won't bite, feel free to pet.", pet the air? Well, this was a possibility due to their density, but these serpents had no thought of their own, nor feelings, still it would feel like petting a scaly cushion, one that a person could sleep on peacefully.

Angelo was definitely caught off guard by the wind snake, his eyes widening slightly as he glanced between the snakes and Baste herself. So they weren't alive? But they'd...

Maybe it was better to just ask.

"So that was just you asking...?" He said after a moment, before deciding answering the question would probably make sense. "I don't know if they specifically have sumo dummies, but they have things like it at least. Extra durable to stand up to impact and the elements." Which he'd never really used. Angelo's powers didn't exactly require the use of large target dummies.

That said, he absolutely wasn't going to pet them. No way, no how.

Kon, on the other hand, was definitely going to pet the snakes. He tried to keep his expectations low, yet was still caught off guard by how soft they were. He had imagined something like hard air. The way some air wielders could make an actual sharp sword or a platform to stand on.

"So soft," he said in a singsong tune. "By the way, I am always available for tail fluffing in exchange of food." The opportunity was there and like hell would he not take it.

Oh, right, they were giving Bastet a tour. Now wasn't time to try and get free food and pets. "So, next stop? I think the field might fit your interests. The infirmary would also be a good place to know how to get to, in case training ever went wrong."

"Yes, with little thought I can move them. So, sometimes it winds up with them forming because I got a little excited or protective, depending on the situation. But overall I have a good grasp on them.", one disappeared, leaving another one for Kon to get acquainted. Surprisingly or otherwise, it made no resistance nor reaction, just slithered slowly through the air around Basté. The fact Kon was comfortable with them and surprised at their softness amused her, who also responded to his offer: "They should be, yes, after all they are primarily defensive. So, as for the tail fluffing, I'll take note of that for when I feel like wanting softness and warmth at my fingertips, Kon."

For another little moment she attempted to persuade Angelo into petting the wind serpent, but since he didn't seem any eager to, the serpent simply disappeared and they would resume the tour. "Infirmary sounds like a good idea, specially for the case I run a fever for too long or a high fever.", with a cold blood came the necessity of using every means available to stay warm, including a fever, but even too much was certainly too much, and knowing where to get treated was vital.

"Infirmary's this way," Angelo said, gesturing down the hallway.

The rest of the tour was less eventful. It wasn't that there wasn't less to see, but Angelo tried his best to keep the pace up, moving from place to place. They had a lot of ground to cover, and it was only once they'd made their way back to the front entrance that Angelo allowed himself to slow down.

"So. You've seen the school. Any questions?"

Kon didn't expect Bastet to take his request seriously, though it wasn't like he wasn't not being serious either. It was like Schrodinger's cat, in a way. If she rejected it, it was a joke. If she accepted it, it was serious. Either way, it wasn't a big deal, and it looked like she was giving genuine thought to the deal.

This island was amazing.

As the tour came to a close, Konpeitō did what he did best and ended things on a dramatic note. He gave a twirl and threw his hands up into the sky as Angelo asked Bastet if she had any questions.

Aside from dedicated power training and classes, Starlight Academy didn't seem much different from what she grew with in Japan, so shouldn't be hard for her to be familiar with. "No questions. I'm familiar with the structure, so it is just a matter of adjusting myself to the island further, but that is at my own leisure.", and how. After all, she had her motorcycle and more time than usual to go around.

"Alright," Angelo said, facing them both properly. "Then that'll conclude our tour. If you need anything, you should be able to find help pretty easily. The island's a friendly place overall."

He'd wait for any goodbyes, but otherwise Angelo considered his work effectively done.

Kon's shoulders sagged at Bastet's lack of questions. It would've been a great opportunity to show off his knowledge on the school from the short time he's been there. Though mostly his disappointment came from how he enjoyed being around people and didn't mind spending some more time helping Bastet out. Sadly, all good things must come to an end.

"Yep yep! When I first came here, I got plenty of help easily. In return, I'm almost open to lending a helping hand if needed."

Kon would also wait for any goodbyes, giving a merry, "Bye-bye!" himself before leaving the group.
