Mana: In order to use any of her abilities Zoza needs to spend magical power. She possess 10 points of mana and each skill burns out one of them, when she attempts to raise the level of a path trough emotion manipulation she must spend as many points as the level (to raise Admire into Desire Zoza must spend 2 mana points and later 3 if she wants to raise it to Want). To restore lost mana Zoza must rest, an hour of sleep restores a point of mana though she can't store more than 10 mana points at a time.

Emotion Manipulation

For reasons unknown to Zoza she was born with the power to "feel" the emotions of others as long as they were in the same place as she was. With the years the radius of her empathy increased as well as the effect her presence could have on others. Now Zoza is able not only to understand others emotions but manipulate in any way she wants, provided the target can perceive (see, hear, smell, touch. Supernatural means of perception example: Clairvoyance are not affected from Zoza's powers as long as their user can't perceive her through any physical means) Zoza. Because of the nature of her power her victims rarely realize they're being affected and most believe that the actions they made under her influence have been made in their own accord. Zoza however can't manipulate the thoughts of others, this is a double edged sword since the victims maintain their creativity and mental capabilities but on the other hand Zoza can never be certain of the action they will follow.

Zoza was able to create three paths of power which specialize in the emotions of desire, despair, and anger. Each path deals with the specific emotion it represents and a person already affected by a certain path can't fall under the influence of another. Each power activation affects a single sapient target who can perceive Zoza as stated above and the object or person Zoza wants to associate the emotions with.

Each path has 4 levels of power in order to increase the level Zoza must activate the path again when the target perceives Zoza, and the object or person she has chosen to associate the emotions with. At least a day must pass after the last time Zoza used the path on her target for the level to increase. If Zoza doesn't use her powers to increase the affection for 3 days the level decreases, should the level fall bellow 1 Zoza can't use this power on the target for a week. A target may also attempt to break free only if he realizes he's somehow being manipulated, those who break free from a certain path find it easier to resist it's powers but other paths still affect them as normal.

This path specializes in the emotion of desire and love. Through this the user can artificially create feelings of affection to a person, those feelings are usually directed towards the user but other people or even objects can work as well provided they can be perceived by the victim. This power grows subtly in power the more the user activates it. The levels of the power are as follow

  1. Admire: Creates a good first impression or gives someone a notion that they like a specific object that they have never seen before.
  2. Desire: Changes a person's train of thought, leading them to the conclusion that they desire a certain person, place, or thing at some time in the future.
  3. Want: Causes obsession, leading a person to pine over and need someone or something he previously may not have had interest in
  4. Dream: Creates an irrational desire for the object of affection, leading the subject to do almost anything to obtain it, short of endangering himself. This effect lasts for 24 hours, once the time pass Zoza must spent 4 mana points to keep the effect running for another day if she can't spent the appropriate mana the influence breaks and the target is freed from her control.

The path with the most malevolent nature. Those who apply it become masters of despair and are able to bring grief to the hearts of even the most optimistic individuals. Just like path of Kypris there are 4 level in the Path of Shadows and the same rules as the other path apply to this.
  1. Dark Clouds: Make a person feel unsatisfied with her next achievement
  2. Venom: The person begins to have dreams of his failures and he will occasionally remember his unhappy memories during his waking hours
  3. Tears that linger: Causes the target to become melancholy, dreams of her failures become more regular and vivid.
  4. Net of Pain: Makes the person experience feelings of despair during his waking moments. At this level of influence the target will avoid sleeping as he relives his most sad memories in his dreams. This effect lasts for 24 hours, once the time pass Zoza must spent 4 mana points to keep the effect running for another day if she can't spent the appropriate mana the influence breaks and the target is freed from her control.

Those who practice the path of Thais are masters of manipulating anger and passion. Like the path of Kypris this path affects only one person per use making the assembly of angry mods tricky, although stories of crafty manipulators who used this power of skilled orators in order to inflame rebellions are more than enough.

  1. Spark: Make a person or object appear slightly annoying and irritating
  2. Sycophancy: Progressively makes the target find a certain person, object, or idea repulsive leading them to believe they dislike it.
  3. Figs From Carthage: Makes a person experience strong feelings of anger every time they think or perceive the person or object that irritates them.
  4. Let them eat cake: Creates obsession from hate over a person or object. The target maintains his rational thinking but may spend nights awake plotting for the demise of the source of his hate. This effect lasts for 24 hours, once the time pass Zoza must spent 4 mana points to keep the effect running for another day if she can't spent the appropriate mana the influence breaks and the target is freed from her control.

Necromancy

Necromancy is a school of magic that specializes in death and dealing with spirits and the undead creatures. The spells of this school can only affect the dead and so living creatures are immune to it's direct effects. However, creatures who only appear alive can still be subject to it's powers (vampires, ghosts, zombies etc)

The necromancer is able to control the bodies of the dead and grand them thoughts of her own design. This ability can be used to raise zombies or compel spirits to obey the necromancer's wishes. Sapient undead creatures can still be targeted though they are aware that their actions are not their own, they can also attempt to resist the necromancer's powers. Should a sapient undead break free the necromancer is unable to regain control over them for a day. Victims of this spell maintain their memories under the necromancer's control unless she commands them not to. For this power to work the undead creature must be in a radius of 10 meters from the necromancer and she must have an item related to the target the importance of the item to the undead empowers the spell (the skull of the once living body of the corpse is more potent than a piece of clothing she used to own while alive) should the item be destroyed the spell breaks, it can affect multiple targets at once.
Undead who are hostile to the necromancer are harder to be controlled as well as those who have break free of the spell while wounded or weakened targets find themselves more easily swayed under the warlocks command.

Since the undead don't like living creatures much necromancers had to develop skills to protect themselves from the undead they couldn't command. This skill allows the necromancer to enchant an object, usually weapon, of their choosing in order to deal devastating damage against undead creatures, provided the hit touch naked flesh, as if they've been hit by their weakness (fire for vampires, salt for ghosts etc) but shatter the moment their wielder attempts to use them against living flesh. When clashed with armor or other weapons they maintain the durability they had before the enchantment.

Biography: Zoza was the child of Varan Kren and Margot Lithuvich, both her parents came from a long line of necromancers through the use their powers both families have amassed vast wealth and lived a comfortable if not degenerate life. The nercomantic families of the country had created their own governing system, one that resembled greatly the Merchant Republics of Renascence albeit more focused on magical power than wealth. It was in this kind of environment Zoza was raised.

As it was expected she was trained to the art of necromancy in hopes of surpassing the children of the other mages and become the next Elder. Zoza also received the best education money could buy, she attended one of the best private schools of her country and also received some of the best tutors to improve her talents and skills, the most being a vampire painter who has been dominated by her father for years. When Zoza's particular ability to manipulate emotions was noticed by her parents they began spending even more resources on their daughter's well being believing she'd be their ticket to the throne. However things don't always go the way people wish...

Zoza was just 18 years old when the first witch hunter appeared. They first attacked the small fish or the really bold ones but none of the important families saw them as a threat, after all this wasn't the first time they have attempted to root out the evil. This changed when they started picking more and more powerful necromancers. In the span of two years the leading families found themselves in actual warfare with the witch hunters and their inquisition, the Lithuvich dynasty was the first who fell followed by the Tortellos and later the Catharogennetos. With all the other families gone the Krens found themselves stripped of allies and surrounded by enemies, unable to fight the hunters the dynasty attempted to escape the country. The hunters however found out about their plans and set a trap for the last remaining necromancers.

By using one of their "sacred" rituals the hunters managed to release the undead from the influence of their masters. Even though reanimated corpses returned to their original state the rest of the slaves were eager to pay their former masters back for the years of abuse. Out of the 25 members of the Kren dynasty only 3 escaped with their lives. Zoza herself managed to get out but both her parents perished at the hands of their numerous slaves, in the end they fall victims of their own greed and avarice.

Zoza cut ties with the rest of the Krens, after all the other two surviving members were so far removed from the main branch they had problem proving their relation with her. She traveled all around the world trying to avoid hunters or other necromancers who might consider her a threat. Eventually she settled in the Manda Carlos island where she finished her academic studies in Education only to later get a job in the Academy.
