Human form:

Zhen is quite the attention grabber, given that she stands at 6’1”. The fact she is of direct chinese descent is evident in her features. Her complexion and skin tone can only be described as porcelain, yet she is anything but fragile. Though her delicate angular face in fortunately free from blemishes, small scratches and scars mark her otherwise soft and elongated hands. She’s rather thin, though personally prefers muscles to curves. She keeps herself in great physical condition, and by her arms, stomach and thighs, it’s clear she loves to work out.
In an effort to express her personality and modernize herself, Zhen has taken quite a liking to body modifications and tattoos. Her left arm is covered in a tattoo sleeve, depicting a pattern of water lilies and koi fish, in various shades of purple. On her right wrist is her family’s surname in chinese lettering, with amethyst crystals extending from the thick black ink. Under her eye to mimic a beauty mark is a miniscule tattoo of a crescent moon. Because her hearing is close to deaf in one ear, she wears a hearing aid. She tends to keep her makeup neat and very bold, and tends to mask her naturally black eyes with some form of circle lens, usually violet in color. Her hair is cropped short and shaved under her usual faux-hawk. Her hair is either dyed black, or whatever color she feels that week.
Dragon form:

While her head and shoulders is somewhat western in terms of dragon appearance, her serpentine body is anything but. Her long, snakelike form stretches for about 50 feet, with her back a jet black and her belly a thunderstorm violet. She has no wings despite her ability to sustain flight. Her front paws and hind legs are almost lioness-like, though are reptilian like the rest of her. An iridescent amethyst-colored crest feathers down the middle of her back, all the way down to her wispy tail. Her appearance teeters between delicate and imposing. Despite being nimble, her build suggests power and strength.

Casual: Zhen wears a lot of leather and tight pants. Her style is very punk-like, with a bit of biker-chick mixed in. She makes a lot of her own clothes, and keeps her style somewhat androgynous. She doesn’t care for traditional clothes, unless they have her own twist in them.
Professional: Like all surgeons, she dons a lab coat, sterile gloves, and a cleaner appearance.

Personality

With her long life span, Zhen has acquired quite the personality. Growing up in a traditional household has somewhat diverted her onto a more… Alternative path. And by somewhat, she means a lot. Ever since she was a child, she preferred to wrestle in the mud than to groom herself to be more appealing to other boys. She marches to the beat of her own drum, and prefers a life of pleasure to a life of rules. However, this isn’t to say she’s completely irresponsible. She’s honest for the most part, and with her profession she excels. She doesn’t like to listen to authority and would rather serve as her own. That said, she gets shit done on her own time with her own rules. Which is odd, considering she’s a social butterfly.
Zhen is your typical rebellious young woman. She likes to drink, party, ride cool motorcycles and get more body modifications than you could shake a stick at. Oh, and it’s no mystery that she’s totally into other girls.
Despite somewhat rocky encounters with her family in the past, she cares a lot about her siblings and would do anything for them, almost to the point of doting. This can be explained by her own upbringing, for she was the one to pick fights and get stronger physically. She just doesn’t like feeling helpless, so with every ounce of her power she proves she is anything but.

Like the rest of her family, Zhen has the DNA of a mineral dragon. She has the ability to shift between her dragon and human form with relative ease. Like most dragons, in this form she can fly and breathe fire. Of course, being a mineral dragon also includes her ability to control her own mineral, which has been selected at birth.
SIDE: Amethyst manipulation
Her selected mineral just so happened to be the purple variant of quartz, Amethyst. Her Amethyst crystals can arise from her body, or from the ground around her. In almost a form of osteokinesis, her bones can manipulate outside her body and turn into sharp amethyst. While this does tend to sting, she is relatively immune to the damage she does to herself. Usually though, she tends to like manipulating the earth to produce amethyst crystals. Though beautiful, it’s best to stay away from them, lest you be impaled.

-Her shifting takes a lot of energy, and if she does it more than three times a day she can seriously exhaust and/or hurt herself.
-Amethyst coming from her body hurts. A lot. She’s managed to train herself to endure the pain, but that doesn’t stop her from crying out in pain from time to time.

From birth, Zhen has been blessed with the lineage tracing down from the four dragons of chinese mythology.
history;;
Ever since she was a little girl, Zhen knew she was different from the rest of her family. She wasn’t interested in being groomed for perfection or upholding her family’s name to a T. She preferred to spend her days going on adventures with her siblings, despite protests from her parents. Either that, or she found local children to befriend and get into all sorts of trouble with. Most of her young life was spent this way, until a situation was brought forth that required to step up to the plate and save her sisters.
While the mission was successful, an accident caused her to lose most of her hearing in one of her ears. Her onslaught of partial deafness did nothing to stop her however when her family made the decision to move over to the west. Their new home was found on Manta Carlos, and since then Zheng has mellowed out. Kinda.
Having graduated Starlight Academy with a PhD, Zhen has become a rather affluent practitioner in cosmetic surgery. Though her party life prevails, xhen has realized the importance of behaving herself and making a path that would do her family well. If not for her parents, for her beloved siblings.
