Boisterous - Loud is a good way to describe Zaramara. She is often told to quiet down, yet even when she tries, what she considers a whisper can still sound too loud for others. Her hearing is not the issue, however, but her being raised by rowdy people who also never learned to lower their voices. She is a very playful person, and despite her appearance, she still follows her dwarvish ways and enjoys going out for drinks with friends or being playfully tough with others. Nevertheless, she knows when to quit it, and will only drink a little. Often, she is the friend of the group who drives home all her drunk friends. She will also hold back her violent tendencies around people she does not know well or children.

Confident - She has a playful and confident spirit and is hardly ever afraid to speak her mind. She expects others to speak her mind as well and will be left saddened when others withhold their feelings for her, though she tries to be understanding and is quick to back down. The few times she holds back her thoughts are when she feels they are too harsh or are not appropriate for the situation at the time. Someone she finds annoying she will be picky about telling them so. If that someone is a younger child or a person going through a difficult time, she is more understanding and will be more patient. If that someone is intentionally trying to aggravate her or is not able to understand subtle hints that people are annoyed by them, she will call them out and defend herself if need be. She tries to be mindful of the lives of others and will be quick to place herself in their shoes. After all, you never know what someone is going through.

Bossy - Zaramama has some trouble keeping her thoughts to herself. If she sees someone doing something inappropriate, she will scold them. She tries to keep it just to facial expressions until they are in a more private area, but if she thinks scolding them publicly will lead to better results, she will do it. Quite a few people have told her she cares too much and needs to stop acting like she can dictate what a person can and cannot do.

Maternal - Even as a child, Zaramama had a strong desire to take care of others. Throughout her life, all of her aspirations involved taking care of people. Nurse, doctor, pet owner, mom, waitress, maid, and more. She has been told she is the "Mom Friend" of groups, which has been used as both an insult and a compliment. She automatically considers it a compliment to be considered a loving, nurturing woman, however. It is only when she is told she is overbearing and bossy. that she tries to hold herself back and act more "normal."

Zaramara was born from a dwarf father, Stromalim, and orc mother, Zorua. As a hybrid of two different species, it was expected that Zaramama would end up being a miscarriage, or in what may or may not be a better situation, living, but dead soon after. The two parents did everything within their power to keep their child alive, but it was difficult when they both came from different species and had to hide away what they have done. No amount of brews or potions could fix what seemed to be a failing pregnancy.

When they were on the brink of giving up, they resorted to praying to their gods as much as possible. Every day, they tried a different god, until they settled on devoting themself to Hestia, the Greek Goddess of Heath and Domestic Life, awaiting the day of the birth. When the day came, Zaramama ended up being born much later than expected, but instead of coming out dead or sick, she was a completely healthy baby. From then on, Stromalim and Zorua continued to devote themselves to the Mother.

Knowing that her half-orc status and the good chance she would have a small body would lead her to be shunned by her orcish side, her father took her into his own clan. From her mother's side, Zaramama was believed to be dead. Abandoned due to being too weak by the lies of her mother. Fortunately, she was still allowed quick visits to her mother when there was no chance of being seen and was able to help learn more about her orcish side as well. Deep inside of the mountains, Zaramama was raised by many dwarves as a communal family. For the most part, she was treated like their own, yet in a way, they expected both more and less of her. They expected her to grow up to be an uncontrollable, brute, and after her first experience of not eating enough food and turning feral, it was like their point was proven. On the other hand, they liked the idea of being able to control and train a powerful orc that had the advantages of both species.

That was until they realized she was useless in battle. They expected her to be quick at learning weaponry like any other orc, but no matter the sword, bow and arrow, hammer, or just a simple wooden stick, she handled it competently. It took until she started playfully sparring with other kids that her father realized her actual potential. While playing with other kids in her clan, they would chase each other around with hammers made out various materials and wooden sticks. Zaramama could barely wield those, so instead, she changed the rules of the game so they could only use items from around the house as weapons. That was when Zaramama showed her true potential. She wielded every "weapon" she picked up like she trained with it for years. A frying pan, a towel, pants, and books.

Still, being a dwarf who could not wield an actual weapon and only had the ability to wield and fix household supplies was not a needed skill. She was able to get herself a job as a shopkeeper and repairman in her later teens. In what would be the equivalent of her mid-twenties, she noticed the development of her actual unique abilities. It was minimal at first. She could pick up when her clan members were tired or hungry, and when they had small wounds, she could immediately detect where they are. The power only grew from there, and occasionally, people would accidentally call her, "Mom." At first, she thought it was just a joke on her name, "Mama," but it became more frequent.

From the moment she could speak, Zaramama was taught how to pray to Hestia and would have dreams about her. The dreams would encourage her to care for those in her clan, and instead of training herself to fight, she was taught how to use domestic objects. It was like she was being whispered the instructions on what to do, though that was not truly the case. The only whispers truly coming from Hestia was when she was told she was an avatar when her maternal powers emerged. Everything else was instinctual.

There was no true place for Zaramara and her powers within her clan. It made it easier for her to take care of the kids, but her powers only contributed to her outcast reputation. It was not very dwarvish or orcish for her to have a power that made her the perfect housewife or caretaker, and she only struggled with her identity while living with her clan. That was why she moved to Manta Carlos, a place she knew would accept her for who she was. She was not surprised to see orcs and dwarves be relatively uncommon there, but it was better to be "relatively uncommon" than "unbelievably rare." There, she got herself a job as an orphanage caretaker to show the full potential of her abilities. She has now lived on the island for about ten years now.

Maternal Instincts / Aura - Within her 20-foot radius, Zaramama has an aura that allows her to sense the vague emotions of around her. This only allows her to feel their emotions, such as sensing if they are hungry, tired, angry, sad, or happy. She can sense if someone is physically ill or hurt and where their wounds are as well. Her aura also has the chance of causing people accidentally call her any variation of "Mom" they are most used to or use the most. People who accidentally call her any variation of "Mom" will not usually notice until someone points it out to them.
  • Maternal Materialization - Can summon items to cater to the feelings of those around her. If someone is hungry, she could summon freshly baked cookies or a perfectly made sandwich. If scared, she could summon a teddy bear for them to hug. If sleepy, she could summon pillows, blankets, or a sleeping bag for them to rest. This also includes physical injuries. If she senses someone is physically injured, she can summon basic first aid supplies to treat them. The amount of objects she makes grows in reference to how necessary they are. If one person is only slightly hungry, she could make a graham cracker for them to snack on. If ten people within her aura are starving, she could summon a feast for them to eat dine on, but proportioned perfectly for everyone who needs to eat. The items summoned are simple stuff you could find or make in most normal households. She cannot summon anything with the intention of violence or could only be used for violence either. She also cannot summon items for her own needs, only the needs of others within her aura. She can still use the items she summons for herself, but because they are proportioned perfectly for those she summoned them for, she never gets a chance to use them for herself unless given to her. Can only summon items she knows exists in real life and has seen before (whether digitally or physically).

  • Lullabies - By singing, Zaramama can cause people to feel calmer and at peace with themselves. The longer she sings, the calmer they will get, until they eventually feel like falling asleep. Instead of a soft, soothing song, Zaramara sings songs with a boisterous, strong voice reminiscent of a war song meant to pump up her soldiers. If you listened to the lyrics, they would sound like any normal lullaby meant to calm a child to sleep. Her loud voice does not hurt those with sensitive hearing, but those who are immune to the effects of her aura may find the way she sings it intimidating, adrenaline-pumping, or simply too loud to listen to.
Healing Kisses - Zaramama can heal people's physical wounds by giving the wound a quick kiss. The kisses can only heal small cuts, bruises, or burn marks. Anything worse than those she could only slightly help speed up the healing process and make the pain feel lighter or non-existent. Someone with a large gash could be kissed, but the wound will show only slight signs of healing and the person will be lightly relieved of their pain. She cannot heal or relieve the pain of illnesses or mental pains. She will not suffer from any infections the wound may give her from kissing them. She cannot heal herself.

Dwarf + Orc / Avatar: Semi-Immortality - Zaramama ages at a slower pace than humans. She will stop aging in her early elderly years (around 120-150 years), and right now she is middle-aged.

Dwarf + Orc: Enhanced Physique - Zaramama can lift up to 800 pounds. Built like a rock, she can take punches and kicks that would knock and perhaps kill most humans, but only send her stumbling back or stunned for a few seconds. Sharp weapons will have a tougher time breaking through her skin, and blunt weapons will have less of an impact on her. Her durable body makes her very heavy and causes her to sink rather quickly when put into water, with her having to work three times harder to keep her head above the water.

Dwarf: Enhanced Craftsmanship - Zaramama is a skilled and quick learner at crafting items. Instead of crafting weapons and armor, however, she can only craft and repair domestic items at a frightening pace. Anything you would normally find in a house is something she could learn to craft or repair in a matter of minutes to hours. Cooking, sewing/crocheting/knitting, and cleaning are some of the things she can make and repair like a professional. Outside of usual household objects (desks, beds, clothes, kitchen supplies, some toys), she is pretty much useless at crafting and repairing items.

Dwarf: Subterranean Adaption - Zaramama comes from a dwarf clan that lived in the deep mountains. Because of that, she quickly adapted to the dark, hot environment. What would be dark or very dim for a human would be normal for her, and what would be normal lighting would be blinding for her. Her lungs have adapted to stuffy areas, and while not powerful, Zaramama has been trained to sense vibrations from the ground to serve as an extra sense.

Orc: Enhanced Combat - Zaramama is skilled in the use of regular household supplies, unlike most other orcs who are skilled at wielding swords, war hammers, or bows and arrows. Give Zaramama a sword and she would not know how to use it, nor could she learn how to use it at any pace faster than that of a normal human. Give Zaramama a towel or a frying pan, and she could wield it like a master or become quickly proficient in wielding them. She is very adaptable to regular household supplies, so items she has never wielded before she can quickly become competent with, though she still needs to train to master them. It takes her only minutes to hours to wield them like a professional.

Orc: Glutton - Zaramama must eat an inordinate amount of food to prevent herself from going into a berserker rage. In her rage, her pain tolerance becomes so high that she can push past her limits. After about twenty to thirty minutes, any damage she received to her body she will begin to feel the effects of all at once and collapse into unconsciousness. Depending on the amount of damage she suffered, or how far she pushed her strength, she can collapse earlier or later, and her unconscious period may go on for a longer or shorter amount of time.
