<div align=center>In what seemed like a flash, two and a half weeks at Starlight Academy had passed before the young boy's very eyes. Within this relatively short time period, Oliver had taken in much more excitement than he probably did his entire life, for better or for worse. There was a few explosions, rambunctious lunch period food fights, dramatic escapades, and one or two student meltdowns. Being the quiet boy Oliver was it proved to be rather overwhelming. Granted, he loved this school. It only took him a few hours to realize this. But he was a little guy in a place filled with both big and powerful people. So what harm did a little escape do?

On the outskirts of the academy and into the neighboring city was a simple inn, where Oli had traveled to the night before. The rising sun outside only added to the cozy, homey atmosphere that it created. It wasn't the most upscale, but it was the nicest place within the boy's budget. He wasn't questioned much about his age, as the lady who owned the place was used to the influx of bored academy kids. With the little odd jobs he had taken here and there, this was the treat he granted himself. And boy was it worth it.

Beside the sleek laptop he had taken from his former home was a cup of earl gray hot tea and the poor remnants of whatever he had eaten. His headphones were pressed tightly against his skull as he went in between messing around with his music software and refreshing his memory of his self taught lessons in calculus. For him, he was in heaven. School was out for the day, which meant he could take his lesurely time doing whatever he pleased (though for him, he would pretty much still be in school according to what his plans were). His concealed-by-glasses green eyes traced to the marmalade colored sun from outside. Though he was bound to perform mundane tasks for the rest of the day, he couldn't help but to want to hit the town. He could shape shift and run amok, explore his first urban jungle, and actually live his life beyond books and screens...

Now, if only he wasn't a measly wimp that can't step out of his shell. </div>

How the hell does a dump like this have a book -that- rare!? That was the thought that was running through Alice's mind as she energetically stormed into the Inn arms flailing around in the air like a demented bird as she quickly shouted out "Omg omg omg omg I am sooooo late! I hope he doesn't kill meeee! Jeffer wouldn't do that would he? Maybe!? I don't know but please let him be merciful you big bearded bastard up there!" In her fit of nerves she was moving quite fast; the floppy bunny ears of her pink hat and her frilly, Lolita-style dress of the same color fluttered violently the momentum she was creating. She was oblivious to everything around her as she flew through the Inn. Patrons stopped mid-mean to gaze up at the curious energetic girl, and Alice didn't notice any of them.

However, all of the sudden, she was immedatly broken out of her obliviousness when a thick, musty tome collided with her head in a loud "thud." Knocked down on the ground with the book on her side, she couldn't help but let out an embaressed giggle, rubbing the back of her head and neck as her assailant loomed over her with an icy glare.

"Jeffery...Umm...yeah...I'm sorry! I got caught up in some business with specter. Supressing a rebellion....not easy work!" Alice said as she gazed up at the silver-haired boy. He simply continued to gaze down at her, with a stair that could make freddy kruger unsettled. Suddenly, a large piece of sharp bone burst through his skin, creating a wicked makeshift blade that he raised up as if to strike at the young girl. Alice closed her eyes as Jeffery brought the blade down, stopping just short of her throad. Slowly opening her eyes, Alice looked up at Jeffery, who now had a goofy smile on his face. "problem?" he said in a snarky tone as he retracted the bone blade. Alice immedatly leaped up and tackled him to the ground. Tottally taken by surprise, Jeffery let out an "oof" as the petite girl now had him down on the floor with her. He couldn't help but laugh, and Alice soon joined in. "Don't you -ever- do that again, Jeffefry!" Alice remarked to him.

"Alright...alright. Gosh...to think you trust me so little. Anyway, the book I lobbed at your head happens to be that special text I was telling you about. Since you where so damn late I had to get it myself, the hard way, instead of letting you mind hack them. Needless to say this Inn will be known for having a new curiosity now..." Jeffery said.

Meanwhile, while the girl and her pet dracolich where busy being morons, the rest of the inn watched the show with curiosity, Of course, Jeffery's use of powers was -nothing special- to them. being a popular spot among students, superpowered scuffles where a fairly common site here, and there was at least one tell-tell corch mark on the floor to attest to that. What was strange however...was the behavior of these two. While there where plenty of superpowered fights, they where usually about school drama....two immature kids just being..well..weird..was much rarer. However, once Alice and Jeffery calmed down the patrons went back to their previous engagements and Alice and Jeffery sat at the table next to Oliver and began pouring over the book they came here to acquire.

The dusty tome was full of writing in some arcane language that Jeffery stared at intently for a bit, trying to see if he could recognize it from his days studying magic. Alice, meanwhile, noticed the boy sitting at the table next to them and immediately recognized him as an SA student. While she could not put her finger on where she saw him at the school, she remembered seeing him...and hearing -something- about him being some kind of wear-dinosaur. Interesting, to say the least....and possibly useful as well. If anything, he could be a fun toy to play with. Alice turned back to Jeffery and asked. "Hey, I think that kid over there is from SA, would you mind if I asked him to join us?"

"Whatever you want. I'm still translating this anyway....it's fun stuff...apparently babies make lousy sacrifices. Who would've thought?" Jeffery responded casually.

Alice turned to Oliver and called out to him "Hey! I think I've seen you around starlight academy before! I saw your sitting all alone and I was wondering if you wanted to join me and my pet dracolich over here? My name's Alice, by the way!...and the guy with his nose deep in that spellbook is Jeffery, my pet dracolich!" Alice said happily. Jeffery apathetically raised his hand and said "hi" as he continued to pour through his recently acquired text.

<div align=center>Well, the morning was tranquill... That was, until one of his schoolmates entered the inn. What was a cozy little hut turned into a boisterous uproar, which spooked Oli enough to almost spill his tea. He slid off his headphones and paused his music to discreetly look at the two, as if trying to identify them. Jeffery, and the girl in a pretty dress... Who could they be? Struggling to mind his own business, he went back to work, though found re-establishing his concentration to be difficult. He nearly jumped when the boy sheathed the blade, but the girl seemed to be laughing... Odd.

Well, from what he could tell they were discussing a book, though Oliver wasn't quite paying attention to which one, as he slid back on his headphones once more. He would have said hello, but... They seemed to be better off in the company of each other. He let them carry on as they pleased until they called forth his attention, which caused him to remove his headphones once more.

”Hm?” He asked, as he was called forth. A small smile appeared on his face when the two were offering him to join them, as that seemed to be a rarity. Alice... He had heard things about her, mainly whispers from other students about just how darn rich she was. But that didn't really matter, at least she seemed pleasant, right? ”Sure!” He confirmed with a nod, picking his things up delicately. ”It's nice to meet you two. I'm Oliver, but you can call me Oli.” He introduced directly, moving over to where the two were. It was nice to be offered companionship, but... A small bit of hesitance warped in his stomach. But why? She seemed nice enough. He looked to Jeffery, his expression curious. ”What sort of spell book is that?” He asked with an inquisitive tone, hoping he wasn't being intrusive. </div>

What a nice boy....he'll make a fun doll in the future Alice thought to herself as Oliver approached the table in a good mood. To do it now would be too rash, though...in a place like this there may be somebody who can pick up on mental powers.. Alice continued to think in her mind. When Oliver sat down Alice immedatly started talking in her usual fast, energetic way, not letting either Oliver or Jeffery get any words in as she spoke..

"Your welcome! As for the spellbook...well..it's special! It was mostly something Jeffery was looking for..it has all kinds of necromantic spells that Jeffery has been trying to locate for a while!..but enough about that..I wanna know..what where you doing on that computer of yours? Do you have any videogames? I like videogames..."

"Alice, let Oli here get a word in too...and breath. It's good for you." Jeffery Interrupted before turning back to his work. With those words Alice' immediately stopped talking and waited for Oliver to respond..

<div align=center>Before Oliver could respond, Alice began to talk a mile a minute. Naturally inclined to be passive, Oliver silenced himself so that she may ramble. He understood excitement in meeting a new friend... She was just a little zealous, is all.

With the mention of the spell book, Oliver was intrigued. Though formerly a scientifically minded individual now he placed a lot of thought into magic and the supernatural. Certain aspects of this school could never be explained by formulas or research. Some occurrences and statuses just.. Happened. On any case the book Jeffery held undoubtedly amassed power. And necromantic stuff? Wasn't that... Risky? Conjuring up spells related to the undead seemed a little too much like playing God. But these kids were probably much more knowledgable than him in this field, therefore he merely had to trust their sense of responsibility.

And hopefully, his trust would not be a lost cause.

Once Jeffery quoted Alice Oli chucked and shook his head. "It's alright, I don't mind.” He confirmed to the both of them in a light tone. With a glance to his laptop he answered we question. ”Well, I don't really play video games... But I'm not opposed to them. I was simply messing around with this music program while studying a bit. Nothing too interesting.” He didn't like shifting attention to himself, so he looked back at Jeffery's book. ”Well, your spell book certainly appears fascinating... I hope you find what you're looking for in it!” He replied with a smile.

Though he was no sort of psychic, he couldn't help but to have the hunch that something was... Off between the two. Not weird off but... Eh, he was just being paranoid. He brushed off that suspicious feeling and pressed forth with a small question. ”So, enjoying this day off? I've been here since last night... Just needed a little time away from school, is all.” </div>

"Good! Jeffery and I are having fun!..and a music program? That's pretty cool! What kind if music is it? Is it one of the Vocaloids, by any chance!?" Alice said happily and quickly. Jeffery meanwhile was content pouring through the spellbook, but closely watched the two of them at the same time, doing so in a way that would not make it obvious he was reading them both. Poor kid...I kinda liked him...too bad I know what Alice has planned for him. Oh well. I guess I'll just sit back, relax and watch the fireworks slowly explode.. Jeffery thought to himself as he analyzed the two of them....

Within every person's mind there is a wall to break and a soul to dominate . This is the game that Alice so often plays. There are but three step in this game, and Alice had succeeded in achieving step 1: find a suitable victim. Oliver was a kind boy, and more importantly a trusting one; she felt that his mind would be extremely easy to crack open. Yes, like a egg, this boy was fragile...his shell easy to crack.

Now came step two 2: break into his mind. Just like Alice figured, this would be an easy feat. Before he could even respond Alice forced her will into Oliver's mind and made him believe that they where still happily engaged in conversation. The rest of the restaurant, meanwhile, had been thoroughly hacked into believing the same thing, and as Alice sat lifeless in the real world in Oliver and the patron's minds things where going on normally.

Heh..what a pathetic boy...his defenses where virtually non-existent. Alice thought to herself after breaking into Oliver's mind. Gazing around, boy's brain was nothing spectacular. Every person had fears, flaws, virtues. Sadness, happiness. Alice had seen all kinds of brains, and while no two where the same they where all similar enough that the makeup of Oliver's mind was....typical. Traveling deeper, however, she was met by two glowing reptilian eyes. Shocked at first, she backed up a bit...something was coming for her. A terrible roar filled Oliver's mind as Alice further retreated.

Crap! Is this some kind of internal defense mechanism!? Alice thought to herself as a large, black T-Rex with a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth came running towards her. Then she remembered...THATS IT! This boy..he was a dino-shifter. This -thing- must be the instincts of his animal form....the predatory, bloodthirsty dinosaur deep within...yes...I can use this! Alice thought to herself. With that she threw her hand out towards the charging dinosaur and thousands of tendrils of solid black energy that had a sinister red aura around them shot from her hands and bound the dinosaur.

"You'll be quite useful to me..I will empower you...and free you...loose you upon the world to bring this boy crawling back to me....but not yet. I need you loosed at the right time. So with the strength I give you, so to will I give you a prison...to be broken at the right moment!"

With those words the tendrils ' red aura grew into a massive cocoon that enveloped the dinosaur. It filled it with vigor, the creature roaring in pleasure, but quickly after it solidified into a black sphere- the prison..which would be opened at the right moment. Step 3: domination...this last step was now slowly beginning, and soon Alice would have Oliver at her full mercy!

Withdrawing from Oliver's mind, everything returned to normal, Oliver and the patron's memories where erased and everything was, more or less, reset to the moment Alice asked about Oliver's music program....but Jeffery and Alice both knew this was only the beginning.

<div align=center>”Hehe... No, but that program is pretty cool! I was just taking some music I bought and remixing it a little. It's not all that great, but I'd sure like to one day make a track that people would dance to...”

The conversation of his hobby seemed to go on enjoyably, but little did the otherwise bright boy know there was something terribly amiss. He was numb to the sensation of the very fabric of his restraint was being manipulated by his new acquaintance. His assumptions that he was talking to a talkative yet pleasant girl and her friend were busted unbeknownst to him. Little did he realize that his polite conversation was leading to some sort of grand scheme, and that he was now destined to be putty in her hands. He was ready to be molded, manipulated, and downright destroyed by her will. And worst of all, he was bound to become distrustful and hateful of his already lowly thought of self.

As soon as the mind raid was introduced, it was forgotten about. Though the effects weren't necessarily silent, as Oliver did feel a slight pressure in his skull. He shook it slightly and looked back up at the girl with a ignorant yet friendly smile. ”Gah... Sorry, I tend to get little headaches from time to time...” He straightened himself back up, and looked at his watch. Huh, not that it mattered... Oh wait! ”Oh! Miss Alice and Mister Jeffery I do apologize but I do have a meeting with a counselor today... Oh my, how could that have slipped my mind...?” He thought the last part to himself. And here he was, thinking that he wasn't destined to do anything else beside mosey around. He figured however that he had time to at least walk back, and possibly come out again to enjoy the rest of his day. ”Silly me, I can't believe I forgot.” It was odd how he all of the sudden remembered, as he usually didn't forget things in the first place. Then again, he had scheduled everything a month ago. Even he thought that the counselor forgot. ”Oh well, I'm only human. Well, it was certainly a pleasure to meet you two. I'd better get going, lest I be late. I hope I see you two again, and have a nice day!” Oliver swiftly proceeded to pack up his things, zipping his laptop into his briefcase and picking up his cup to return to the counter, so that the lady didn't have to trouble herself with retrieving it. When his hand was free, he waved goodbye to the two, and exited the building.

If only he had any sort of idea of what fresh hell he just opened up. </div>
