Gonna be honest, I'm a bit prideful. I'm pretty self aware of it, but doesn't change the fact it's there. Sentimental stuff isn't my biggest strength.

But I feel that. I'm lucky to have never been too involved with the politics in my family, but it certainly exists. I feel sorry for my relatives who are involved though.

And I am willful. I've always sort of wanted to do my own thing. Not just be married off to cement some family alliance.

That said, I just found out my mother is on the island. I haven't seen her in centuries.

If it’s any consolidation, some of my relatives punched me when they saw me for the first time in a few decades.

Yeah. I was kind of like that with my family, just been a while. I’ve gotten used to being around them again though.

Yeah we’re on better terms. It’ll probably take a long time before they really trust me like before I left though.
