Not as bad as you'd think, if you're not stupid about it.

I used to live with this guy who did a lot of crime. It wasn't romantic between us, he was family. I'm pretty sure he has his fingers in the interplanetary slave trade pie, and I know for a fact he was in on vice stuff.

I am not even scratching the surface on how bad he is and how good my reasons are for not trusting him.

Well, my secrets aren't that juicy, at least not in comparison to yours. I don´t think anyways... Basically, I am worried, or I get worried cause my I know my boyfriend is a fugitive of sorts. It's not that they did anything bad... they are just running from something really bad, and I worry that they will find them eventually.

My boyfriend is not from here. I think he escaped something bad that was happening on his homeworld, though I am not sure what that was exactly. All I do know is that they are afraid to tell me too much in case they come looking for them, and it puts me in danger.

If he tells you then that means you can prepare for the worst together

you should always be ready for some stupid magic bullshit or space bullshit to show up and run your month. If you prepare it's easier

I might just be cursed, but awful bullshit has been flinging itself at me and my family so regularly you could set your watch to it. Crisis after crisis. So take it from me.

have you thought about using magic to summon him home if he gets space kidnapped? I have that set up with someone. Should probably do that with more of my family tbh
