Noah was sitting, had been for the last hour or so, against a withered old tree. A few wet leaves the groundskeeper had left behind were slowly seeping dampness into his jeans, but he was too lazy to get up and claw them away again.

The weather was nice, at a pleasant 52, probably the last day it would be so before winter set in for real. A couple dozen other students were taking advantage of the warm weather as well, and their shouts rang through the air to Noah no matter how far away he moved. Already he was near the edge of the large clearing, hunched over his notebook, one leg up and the other sprawled on a rather large pile of leaves he was using as a footrest. He glared at the students, happily imagined stitching the loudest one's mouth shut, and turned back to his notebook. It was already mostly full of random scribbling, poems he wanted to remember, a few reminders to himself about the importance of buying a scarf before winter arrived, and it took him a few minutes to find a blank page. He grabbed the pen he had temporarily stuck behind his ear, shaking it a few times to get the little ink that was left to flow and pressing it to the paper.

ooc: Open.. Of course.

Caitlin didn't mean to sneak up on the guy, but thats how it turned out. She peered over his shoulder and read a couple of his poems. "Wow, those are really good." she said.

Noah sighed, closing his book slowly and turning around to stare at the short blonde standing behind him. If he had a penny for every time someone did that.. "Thank you." He smiled, half annoyed at her, half grateful for the compliment. "You're really good at spying on people." It could be construed as mean, perhaps, but seeing as he often did the same, he wasn't about to yell at someone else for it. However, if she took offence, he wasn't about to explain he wasn't trying to hurt her feelings. Her fault for sneaking up on him. He held the notebook out to her, tucking the pen back behind his ear with his other hand. "I don't much like people reading over my shoulder. If you'd like to read it, you might as well just ask."

Noah grinned. "Yeah, you accidentally snuck up behind me." He waited until she stopped squirming, waved it off. "Relax. If you'd criticized me, then i'd be mad, but.." He grabbed his cane, idly pushing the leaves away from him. "So who're you, anyway?"

"Noah Silvlia. Seventeen. New as well." He held up a hand for her to shake, wondering if she was going to sit down or if he should get up. "You like everything so far?" He questioned, looking up at her over his glasses.

Noah nodded solemnly. "I have no idea who Tara is, but ok." He punched a hole in the ground with a cane, fiddling with it for a few minutes as he tried to remember who he had met so far. "Haven't met a lot of people. Two, actually. Solace, and Bouncy Brunet- i mean, Stella. And i like both of them well enough, i suppose."
