Wow, what a Room.

Astrial opened her door slowly not sure what to expect of her dorm room that she would need to share. She pictured an enclosed box with no air and she started to hyperventilate till she reminded herself she hasn't even seen the room yet so stop making anxiety for herself before she even sees it. But what she pictured is not what she got at all. The rooms was large and airy with a huge window that was open and looked down to the ocean below her. There was lots of large plants hanging everywhere and potted trees. The leaves rustled at the morning breeze. The room had lots of light and even seemed very airy. She held out the breath she had been holding and smiled. This would most certainly do. There was even a post for her hawk to land on to visit her. This is awesome, Astrail thought. She then noticed the hooks on the wall where she could hang her cozy hammock. She set that up and tested it. It was perfectly taught and just the right amount of length. She then got up and wandered into the bathroom. This room was also airy and bright and had many plants as well. There was a large shower stall with two shower heads and a vary large in-ground tub to walk down into. There was a large spout out of the wall that let a small amount of water trickle out that helped refresh the water. It was big enough for 2 people but more than likely it would be used by herself to bathe and sometimes to sleep in at night. The tiles were a very pale blue and white and there were pictures of sea shells all over the walls decals of dolphins. She was speechless. This was exactly what she needed for herself. Just...wow.

She walked back out at a light rap at the door. A young man was there with her chest of clothes and stuff she brought from home. "Thanks," she said to the guy at the door with a smile, "I'll get it from the doorway." Astrial made a circling motion with her index finger and the wind picked up and whirred towards the trunk and picked it up like it was supper light and filled with feathers and carried it to the foot of her hammock were she made a quick flick motion with her finger and the lock popped open. She turned back to the boy at the door and thanked him again and shut the door. She walked over and started to pull out her light flannel sheets and her spare pillow. Then another knock came to her door.

A moment after the knock on the door it was followed by a thud. Slowly the door drifted open to reveal a small girl wearing clothes that could have easily come from the children's section at any department store, only the shape of her chest really betraying her age. She was rubbing her forehead as she sat on the floor, her legs splayed out under her. Behind her was an old cabin trunk that she could have quiet easily fit into with a non-trivial amount of room to spare.

After only a few more seconds of moping about on the ground the girl finally stood up looking at the other woman in the room. She looked at this person and then up and down the hallway as if she were lost. Darting into the room to look at the door she ruffled around in her skirt's pocket and produced a sheet of paper and examined it and then looked back at the door. She did this several times before she was certain of what ever she was checking on it.

Finally she turned to the other girl holding the paper up to her face, as though to use it to hide, having come over with a sudden shyness or being upset at how little she had already said and only now realizing just how rude it must have seemed. "Hello..." She spoke from behind the paper. "My name ist Sterre." She spoke her accent being more pronounced than she would have liked. "I'm going to be living here this year." She spoke slowly bringing down the paper, showing off a shy smile as she stood there, almost afraid that she would be kicked out ever she even got the chance to move in.

Astrial walked over and offered Sterre a hand up. "Hi, I'm Astrail. Nice to meet you. You must be my new room mate. I was told I might have one, but I wasn't sure." Astrial smiled at her and with a swish of her hand she used the wind to raise up the small girls trunk and float it to one of the beds. "is that a good spot or do you want the other bed?" Astrial asked. "I sleep in a hammock so you have a choice of ether bed."

Sterre took the hand when it was offered to her, popping up to the ground. As the wind picked up to carry her trunk over her head she instinctively held down her skirt to keep it from flying up. All the while she watched as the trunk floated effortlessly over her head.

When offered her choice of bed she couldn't help but fret over which to take. "A-are you certain?" Sterre asked as she looked from bed to bed almost seeming to be at the start of an existential crisis. "I guess I'll take that one." She said only barely pointing at the one on the left of the two. "Uh, is that okay?"

"That is totally fine with me. I prefer the hammock. Feel free to decorate your part of the room," Astrial said to her. The girl seemed to be nervous but then again so was she about all this new stuff in her life. "Do you want to sit with me for dinner tonight so you have someone you know?"

Looking at Astrial the emotion of surprise was plainly written over Sterre's face. After a few heart beats that emotion melted away to be replaced with one of elation. "Sure, but are you sure you wouldn't rather be eating with your boyfriend?" She asked the plainly beautiful girl who likely could have her own harem if she only wished it to be.
