The image of Brendon clinging to his mother was still imprinted his mind and he could see it even with his eyes open. He jerked his gaze behind him and glared at Brendon’s home.

He had been so close... Brendon was right within his grasp...

Joshua could remember the feelings... and still felt them lingering within his body. But they were no longer overpowering, just a burden. A teasing reminder of what he had almost experienced...

He was frustrated and couldn’t calm himself down...

The temper within him was only growing as he made his way through the forest that resided behind Brendon’s home. There were no houses here... only trees and the further he entered the thicker the forest became.

He needed to calm down before he did something brash. Brendon would pay dearly for leaving him...

Joshua stopped before a large tree and reached out to dig his fingers into the bark. He had never become this outraged before. But the feelings within his chest... were boiling over and his entire body felt enraged with a heat that he couldn’t extinguish.

He lowered and grasped a branch from the ground and tore it free with ease only to crush it within his grasp and toss it aside. He needed something thicker...

The rage within him was growing... and he was losing control...

He pushed passed a few more trees and finally located something sturdy enough to withstand his rage. He grasped the thick piece of wood and brought it into his mouth...

He dug down against it with his teeth and began crushing it within his mouth. His jaw was much weaker while his animal side was suppressed, but his rage provided him with enough strength to break through the thick wood until it snapped in two.

Joshua tossed the broken pieces away and discarded anything that remained in his mouth. He could taste the earth... and it helped momentarily distract him.

He had acted this way long ago as a child... and it brought him a sense of relief when he needed it most...

The twenty two year old lowered to the ground and rested atop a boulder. He was calm... he decided and took in a slow breath...

Brendon’s intoxicating scent was no longer hindering him... and he was very pleased with that. Now he could think clearly and gather himself enough to decide just what he should do next...

But the sense of ‘clarity’ from his temper he had been hoping for... didn’t last...

He could see them... standing before him... their arms wrapped around each other. He glanced away and gritted his teeth... tempted to bite through something else...

But it wouldn’t settle his temper... or his desire...

The attraction to Brendon... was far greater then he could have ever anticipated. He had known that boy for a day... and already wanted him forever...

What an insane thought...

Joshua recalled the words he had spoke to Brendon and he knew they were true. The moment he had him alone... Joshua would make him his...

He no longer cared to restrain himself... because there was nothing within his life... worth losing...

Brendon was something he had never had before...and he was willing to risk everything just to have him at his own pace. He wanted more than a friendship... he desired him both mentally and physically...

His gaze drifted in the direction of Brendon’s house was... and then moved towards a nearby river. He picked himself up and crouched before the stream. The water was ice cold... but it felt soothing against his face.

Joshua remained there a moment longer and looked back to Brendon’s house once more. He couldn’t see it anymore, but he knew where it was...

It would be foolish to return now...

Waiting outside of his home... listening to the two of them would pry his patience again and he would end up leaving... to throw another tantrum...

How amusing...

It seemed Brendon wasn’t the only child...

Joshua stood up and decided he would be returning to Brendon’s home, but at a much later time...

Brendon couldn’t hide away from him forever...
