Alexis wasn't normally one to seek out extra classwork but with all the additional abilities he'd gained from the regalia tournament thing he was struggling. To graduate he needed to be able to show he had competent control over his abilities and honestly he needed help figuring out how they could all work together. Thinking and planning wasn't his strength. He preferred to just do things.

So there he was walking into the class to work on the synergy of his powers. He'd heard there were two teachers, but one of them was way easier to work with than the other. Probably though he'd end up learning from both though.

"Hey, i'm here for training or whatever....," Alexis called out. The blonde haired teen didn't look that impressive, but he could do a lot of things. Transforming into dust, manipulating water, creating clouds of heavy mist, forming steel nails and glass shards, and a few other things too.

He glanced around for whoever was supposed to be running the class.

Rachel used her flight to bound off of the walls, being careful to avoid the windows. Her gaze traveled across the room. There were twenty desks at the back of the room, each with plenty of space between them to move, and none of them in the front of the room except for the teacher's desk. Cassandra was behind that desk. She was aiming her bow in Rachel's general direction with an angled arrow nocked.

"I still can't believe we have so much room!" Rachel said. Her words echoed slightly.

"It's only natural for the type of class we have," Cassandra said. "However, you shouldn't get your hopes up and think that we're going to get a lot of students. You might be disappointed."

She fired the arrow, and it flew to meet Rachel. Rachel delivered it back with a spinning kick. Cassandra caught it just before it was about to hit the desk. The two shared a smile.

Just then, someone entered the classroom. Rachel gasped and quickly landed not too far in front of him, and Cassandra stored her bow in her pocket dimension and placed the angled arrow on the desk.

"Oh, hello there!" Rachel said. "Welcome to power synergy! I'm so glad you've decided to join us."

He looked back and forth at the two people who had clearly just been in the middle of... something. H e'd heard a tiny bit of scrambling as he walked in.

"Yeah... is it just me here for this?" He questioned as he eyed the woman plopping down right by him. Why did they need two teachers for this? Was there some weird rule about them always being together?

Alexis sighed and looked back towards the woman behind the desk. "I'm Alexis Brouillard. I'm guessing you two are the teachers or whatever?" His tone was pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a teenager who didn't like going to class but had to. Even if technically he'd chosen to take this one. Maybe he was just a little moody.

Cassandra raised an eyebrow. Before she could say anything, Rachel made a discrete gesture with her hand. Cassandra remained silent.

"It's nice to meet you, Alexis," Rachel said. "My name is Mrs. Lochland, but I don't mind if you'd prefer to just call me Rachel. And she," she pointed to Cassandra, "is Mrs. Tiller. We are, indeed, the teachers for this class. You'll find that you're the only one here, and may be the only for a while. This class just started today, after all."

Rachel hovered just slightly off of the ground and positioned herself next to Cassandra. "I'll let you take it from here," Rachel said.

Cassandra picked up the arrow that she had shot earlier. It disappeared in her hand. "I'm sure you already know the basic premise of what we're going to be doing," she said, "so we won't dilly dally. Can you give us a basic description of what you can do? Or, you can show us if you prefer that." Cassandra gestured to the large space in the front of the classroom. Rachel picked up a notepad and pencil from the desk.

He didn't catch on that there was some special communication going on between them. And probably wouldn't have cared all that much if he had. Teachers were kind of weird anyway- who wanted to spend all day with kids?

"Mrs. Tiller and Lochland then," he nodded at each of them. He might have been kind of moody and a jerk but he wasn't stupid enough to be actually disrespectful. Not when they were supposedly going to help him. But being the only student and having two teachers made him feel a little weird. Like he was on display or something.

He had to make a mental list of his various powers and ultimately he decided to do both. Show some of the things and just talk about the others. "Well i'm a wyvern so I can shift forms... but i'm sure you don't want crushed desks so... I won't show it off yet. I can paralyze people with my tail like that and in both forms I'm pretty strong, tough, fast and all that. And I heal quick."

As he rattled things off he also showed off other things. First he exhaled a small could of thick mist and mentally made it move around. Then he formed an array of steel nails and orange shards of glass across his body and then collapsed into dust to move 10 feet across the room.

"Oh... and I can turn off my emotions," he finished explaining and then dusted his way back over to where he started. Waiting for the teachers to do... teachery things.

As Alexis listed off his powers, Rachel nodded and wrote down paraphrased versions of the explanations. Cassandra was already thinking of potential combinations with both herself and Rachel. "Rachel, can you gather energy?" she asked. Rachel nodded and flew over to a window, where there was a little bit of sunlight streaming through.

"We're going to test something in a minute," Cassandra said. "You seem to have a lot of different abilities, so before we try to improve them or make new discoveries about them, we have to see how efficient you are in using them together. We'll conduct a short sparring match. However, you won't be sparring with one of us. "

Rachel realized what Cassandra was going to say before she even said it. She flew over to Alexis. "I'm just gonna touch your shoulder," she said. "A clone of yourself is going to come out of you when I do. I'm just telling you now so that you don't panic. It won't hurt, or anything."

She placed a finger on Alexis' shoulder, and almost instantly, an exact replica of him emerged from the front of his body.

"We'll see how you fare against your own powers," Cassandra said. "This is just going to be a standard sparring match. Nothing too crazy, and it's just going to last for a minute."

He glanced over as one of the teachers went to the window and... stood there. From what they'd said gathering energy or some shit, but he guessed it really didn't matter too much.

He quite visibly perked up at the mention of sparring though. That was interesting and fun and something very much to look forward to. Except... he wouldn't be fighting someone else... "Wait, so you want me to fight myself? Doesn't that mean I just let myself win or something lame like that?" He asked, very confused. The only time he'd fought clones was when someone cloned their own persons to attack- never cloning him to use against him.

He flinched but didn't stop the woman from touching his shoulder and sure enough he was soon staring into a familiar face. His own. "Well shit, that's pretty weird. So I just... beat him up or get beat up until you call time?" That was easy enough. How could this faker know his own abilities as well as he did?

Alexis moved over to the open space in the room nearer to the teacher's desk, eyeing the other version of him that was mirroring how he moved. What the hell, might as well just do this. He formed several small steel nails in his right fist as he feinted with his left before sending a quick punch with his right hand aimed at the faux-Alexis' face.

As Alexis sparred with his doppleganger, both Cassandra and Rachel took notes. Rachel had flown to the other end of the classroom to get a different angle. They watched the fight intently, taking note of moves he did particularly well and things he could have done better. As each fighter performed a particular action, Rachel would fly to a different part of the room to get a better angle. She glanced at Cassandra's face and saw that her expression was neutral.

The alarm on Rachel's phone went off, signifying the passing of a minute. She deactivated her Gemini and Alexis' clone disappeared.

"Hm...." Cassandra said. "Good. We'll address everything we've noted later. For now, let's talk about the specifics of your powers. If you want to use your powers more efficiently, you have to be aware of all the small nuances. For example, what is that mist made of? How strong are those nails that you created? Things like that. Anything helps." She and Rachel prepared to take notes again, and the latter flew back to the window to gather more energy.

Alexis panted a little and touched at a few of his cuts and bruises from the fight as the instructor called time. He'd been nonstop pressing the attack on his clone, with punches and kicks, shards of glass and nails. The air was thick with lingering moisture and particles of dust that had been caught in the vapor. Rather than being upset at the minor injuries he had a little bit of a grin.

"The.. mist? It's just water in the air," Alexis glanced at Cassandra like she'd asked him which way was up. Was there anything special about it? Not that he knew of. "All of my...clan... can do it, we make it naturally inside us," he added though there was a noticeable falter when he mentioned his clan. Technically he had been disowned along with his cousin. But in a way he had started to consider himself and Riva the new Brouillard Clan, sort of. As he spoke he took a deep breath and puffed out another small wispy cloud of mist to drift across the room.

Then he formed an inch-long nail of steel poking out of his hand. "Uh, I don't know how strong these are but I think Spike said it should be like steel or something." Unfortunately the regalia who had taught Alexis was no longer available to check with, having left with the rest of them after the tournament ended.

Rachel already knew what to do. She absorbed a few more seconds worth of sunlight, and when she was finished, activated her Aquarius form. Her skin took on a blue tint.

"I assume that you have pretty good control over that mist," Cassandra said, "considering that you can control it with your mind. However, like I said, that's just an assumption. I'd like to see how good that control is myself."

Rachel moved her arms and a sphere of water emerged from behind the teacher's desk. As she spread apart the fingers on one of her hands, the sphere split into five pieces. The pieces mirrored her fingers' motions.

Cassandra summoned her bow again and created two normal arrows. She nocked one. "I'm going to fire two arrows," she said. "You have to hit both of them with your mist. This will not only show us how fast your reflexes are, but it will also give us a sense of any type of destructive power that the mist can be used for."

She had Rachel go to the other side of the room to help demonstrate. A few seconds passed without anything being said. Without warning, Cassandra fired her nocked arrow, then immediately nocked the other and fired it. Rachel sliced both arrows with two orbs of water.

"Like that," Cassandra said. "I'll fire at a random time, so pay attention."
